First time checking out this store and was impressed. It's a boutique style store that has furniture, home decor, clothing and so much more. I have been shopping there for 2 years even though prices are sort of high and they only back 40percent to Clints that consign there. But I still go and twice now this old lady that works here is rude . it can get busy but I always wait my turn as she talks with people she knows at the check out center....then when it is my turn she walks away as if I was not there . I stop here and say can I consign these two pieces one new pair shoes and one nice light green jeans she does not even take them out of the bag and says no ......I told her right then she was rude . I was there to pick up more stuff and I like to make money too . I spend at least 60 each time I go .. I had a nice purse one time I never use they said no so as I was in leaving a customer said can I buy that from you I said sure for 25 they had the nerve after not wanting it to make me give them a cut ....So do not go there/ They do not appreciate your business no mater what and have their favorites . I done and I came back to buy furniture but just left and said the hell with it read more

If you're anything like me you've been spending a lot of time on the couch in your living room (social distancing has done wonders for my inner "homebody"). Since I can't review the living room my couch is in now (5 stars, if I could) I figured I should at least review the store I purchased the couch from! The goal for my home is to be as sustainable and environmentally friendly as possible. So when it comes to furnishings that means a lot of second hand, vintage, thrift store trips. One of my favorite spots to keep my eyes out for treasures is Second Time Around. Second Time Around is run by a sweet family. They operate very simply and efficiently. The store accepts cash and card. They are also very friendly! When I found my couch I was not looking for it (which is typically the case when it comes to thrifting). When I saw it I got super excited but held back on the purchase. A few hours later while driving the town I realized the couch and I belonged together. So I called Second Time Around just before they closed-they took my card over the phone and allowed me to seal the deal! This couch is just one of many purchases I have made at Second Time Around. Art, lamps, etc... The store is not strictly second hand furniture. There is also a full clothing section. They also feature the work or local artists and curators. Different vignettes are setup for these "vendors" so to speak. A lot of the pieces in these collections I find to be overpriced. I appreciate that the folks take time to set up their booths and make boutiquey little shopping experiences. But for me a good thrift store needs to be a little more of a search and a lot more bargain. Second Time Around uses Instagram to post a lot of inventory. If you're on the search for something this is super useful. Oh! And for the time being they are offering curbside pick up so we can still shop in isolation! read more

You can call or even message them in Instagram and they will accept your payment over the phone or a sales app. I have found so many fun quirky things there. It really is a hit or miss. Sometimes they have good stuff and sometimes they don't. Prices can be a little iffy. For example, some thing will be extremely overpriced that is not very tasteful. Ya know? I hate to be the one to have the opposite review as the only other one posted? BUT . . . "I" personally have been given luke warm attention on the few occasions that I have been to this store. I "DO" frequent a couple other stores in the county & they have always been more than happy to give discounts to veterans - even if it's only a small 10%. When I inquired about this here? WOW, did I get a very rude response that her prices were already very low. Honey, YOUR prices are NOT low in comparison to other stores in Pinellas County. But I still occasionally have gone back to check things out. BUT . . . the deal breaker now? I visited the store yesterday to see about consigning. I brought in many items that were not only in much better condition that many items that I've seen in this location? But half of them still had TAGS on them, as they had never even been worn. After the 2 young staff members there looked them over . . . they young girl proceeded to tell me that they could not use any of the items as they either "were damaged, had stains or were out-dated". Well, firstly, even IF this were to be the case . . . are you kidding me? You actually SAID this to a customer? But secondly . . . given what I stated above as the condition of these garments . . . when I got home I told my sister's & the neighbor what I was told. We spent the next HOUR, each of us, going over EACH item. We found NO "stains" OR "damage" to ANY of the garments. We still are not sure about the out-dated remark, as the items with tags on them were purchased within the last 6 months, & to be honest with you? FAR newer than many of the items I have seen in this store. SO, in conclusion? Not only will "I" NEVER frequent this location again . . . but now neither will any of my family or neighbors. And I can pretty much assure you . . . that anyone that any of us come into contact with? Will not visit this store either. So "Second Time Around" . . . I guess you figure that you have a strong enough following that you can treat your customers anyway you feel like. Well, not THESE customers! Cute dresses in the window off this busy street made me stop in, and this is by far the best consignment store around!!! You walk in and it smells so delicious you have to comment, and are greeted instantly by the friendly faces. The transition from your typical "junky" consignment store that you drop off, and quickly exit to a warm boutique shop that you can actually shop and stay a while! The new owner has done a remarkable job in such a short time, can only imagine how it will continue to be revamped! This is definitely on my list as a new shopping destination for cute clothes, gifts, and home decor! read more

Just an FYI. This is not related to secondtimearound.net which is has stores in mainly in New England amongst other places including Miami. That is a high end store of newer clothes. And the sandals here looked very used. I was so disappointed I checked it out because I want to consign some shoes and bags. read more

Love this shop! The store is family owned and operated. They are friendly, helpful, and easy going. The owner has a wonderful, fresh selection of clothes and also offer a large selection of home furnishings and decor. The pricing is more than fair; in fact they could double their prices and still be fair on most articles. If you're in the area it is definitely worth the stop. read more

I am so disappointed, this was my first ever experience with this business and I will not ever be returning! I found them in IG and saw some items posted that I loved, after inquiring if they were available on Saturday I was told they were and one item in particular I was extremely serious about purchasing. I would have gone on Sunday but was told they were closed. I asked for measurements to make sure it would fit in my SUV and was told they would get them to me first thing Monday. I let them know I was off and would drive over first thing to get the item. I drove over 30 minutes to find a very apathetic lady at the desk who told me it sold the day they were closed and that I should have paid for it online. I had been back and forth with someone from the place and never once was told to purchase the item or it wouldn't be there! The person behind the counter actually said to me " I don't know what you want me to say!" Well an I'm sorry would have been nice! Is this how you treat customers who wanted to spend good money in your shop?? I will never again step foot in your shop and I will make sure to tell all my friends the experience I had here. read more

I often wondered how she ever stayed in business, however, recently a very sweet & courteous young girl, Christa, has purchase the business and it is absolutely amazing what she has done with the place, in the short time she has owned it. The prices are always fair for both buyers and sellers. Everything is always well organized and it is just a fun place to shop. If you are a seller, your items will sell. As a buyer, you will always have a variety of treasures to explore for your shopping adventures. The owner and her staff are always willing to help you with measurements, ideas or anything else that you need to make a decision. They will also help you to figure out creative ways to get things that you buy into your car or provide contacts for delivery. I agree with PC P. Not only are they rude, but when I went to pick up what they had not sold of my items, they could not locate an oil painting I had consigned with them. OK, crap happens but how they handled it was totally off-putting. It was very much a 'couldn't care less' attitude, nor did they offer to compensate me--even for half of what they priced it. Then, on top of this, the young girl was very rude when I asked for a copy of my item list...she bitched because "copies cost $$" and threw a little temper tantrum when I mentioned she had no right to complain about a 10cent copy when she had just lost my item. Then her mother jumped in, talking about me right in front of me!! This after losing my oil painting AND selling boots they had priced at $50 for $15, giving me $7.50 for a brand new pair of fashion boots?!? Yeah, right! Sorry, sweetie, your mamma's store stinks.
