Tonight was my first time visiting Kohl's on Battleground Ave. Actually, it's my first time at Kohl's in Greensboro, NC. The store's layout was different because when you walked in, the customer service and Amazon Drop-off were at the front and to the right of the door. I was used to wandering to the back and standing in a line. Not so at this store. Although it was a little cluttered and confusing at first, I was happy to be able to get right in line and handle my Amazon return quickly. In general, the store seemed well managed and clean. That may have been because I stopped in so late (just 40 minutes before closing). However, I saw several workers busy with their tasks, and many were quick to answer my questions or help other customers. The shelves were stocked with the typical Kohl's offerings, but I was ecstatic to see they also had abundant clearance items. This must be an older store and perhaps not the most popular site. That was a bonus for me tonight since I scored several home interior items at 30-50% off, plus I was able to use a 15% off coupon that I received when returning the Amazon item from earlier. [side note: be careful turning in items at Kohl's because that coupon WILL sucker you in and get you buying sheets and candles and wooden platters you didn't even realize you needed! You have been warned. Lol] All in all, it's a great lil' spot to shop. One of the employees said Sephora will be getting built in a few months, so perhaps by the Summer they will have leveled up. I have always loved Kohls. I was in the area and went shopping for an outfit to wear to my son's college graduation next weekend. The selection at this store vs the one in Wendover has always been a little disappointing. Many of the women's clothes were in disarray but I was able to find a nice outfit and cute sandals relatively quickly. I always love the discounts and Kohl's cash. I'm a Kohl's girl for life! read more

I was so disappointed by what I had remembered previously. After a hiatus of several years I remembered your store. My mission was quite simple; two pairs of trousers and three/four shirts. Cheap and tasteless to be succinct. I did buy a few small items but went elsewhere for the other items. I'm not sure what your new business model is,but it ignores quality, taste and selection ( and customer service, that's something else.). I'm reasonably certain that alienating customers who are more interested in whether you have a product rather than price, was not part of your plan. There are good choices and bad ones. I was the last customer in the store tonight. And I was working my way to the front to purchase my arm full of things. As I was headed to the register the announcement came on saying that it was "9pm and the store was closed, bring your items to the register". When I reached the register the lights were turning off and all the ladies working were walking out. One lady told me "they went home and there was no one there that could ring me up". There were maybe 6-8 employees ready to leave with their purses and jackets all just standing there telling me no one there could just ring me up. Had I not been right there at the register, they would have locked me up in the store, I'm sure. I guess it's okay for your cashiers to just leave the store before closing time??? Never in my life has this happened and it's going to take me a lot to come back and shop here again. When your business has hours of operation, you stick to them... FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS! This location, and Kohl's in general, has gone downhill over the years. After expanding several years ago, this store has recently been reduced in size and staff. I went in looking for winter jackets and shoes (I wear size 13, so it's never easy). There were hardly any employees the day I went by. The majority of price check scanners were inoperable. The men's shoe selection was slim, to say the least. Got to the register and tried to sort through all the offers in the Kohl's app. The cashier pointed to one for 15% off. She told me I "saved" $27. Yeah, right. That $48 Sonoma shirt was worth maybe $25 (it was "on sale" for $23.99). We all know that you're a sucker to ever pay full price in Kohl's. Everything is always "on sale" and the 15% discount is the minimum you should ever leave with. I know I could shop on-line, but I actually prefer to try things (especially shoes) on to see how they fit. Oh well, I haven't been in to Kohl's in about a year. Guess it will be another year before I return. read more

Of all the Kohl's in the area, Battleground stacks up at the bottom. Sadly, this Team's Effort to consistently maintain organization or cleanliness is puzzlingly compared to other area locations. This store is not in a bad neighborhood where customers could be causing the problem. One observations is the lack of Associates at this site. Battleground's saving grace, if you can sort through the cluttered shelves or crammed racks, is more product selection than smaller locations. I often spend enough at Kohls to receive 30% Coupons. The Kohls Chain is a great concept and offers value to shoppers. I know most of the site managers. It's no wonder Managers or Associates do not remain at this site very long. It's obvious when Managers and Associates make a noticeable effort to ensure customers can navigate, find, and enjoy shopping for items, which keeps everyone positive and satisfied. I appreciate and obviously am a Kohls Fan; however, without a better Team Effort Battleground will not get more positive feedback. read more

I was helped at the service desk at 4:52. It was for an online order placed the day before. Confirmation was sent that it was ready for pick up. I waited an additional 24 hours to pick the item up. Instead of finding my order, the service desk people were helping each other with other customers that came in long after myself. The guy even went to the back to retrieve someone else's online order, without saying a word to me. He was my primary contact. Finally, at 5:43, my package was given to me, and I was able to walk out. Had an excuse been communicated before he helped others, or walked to the back of the store, or had Kathy been pleasant instead of insinuating it was my fault they could not find the items, I could have understood better. But, it is the season for retail, and if they could not handle a five minute transaction that was turned into 50 minutes of wait, Black Friday shoppers will have some high stress levels. read more

This has to be the most organized Kohl's I have ever been in. Every employee was diligently working to arrange and fold everything in sight. Everyone is polite and says hello. My wife is a Kohl's fanatic but I usually hate the unorganized chaotic ness of the experience. That was not the case of this store. It's tucked in a random parking lot with out much else to do in the same plaza. Maybe that made it better. Maybe because it was 9AM on a Saturday and not that busy that made it better. Kohl's feels free to fill my email and postal box with flyers and sales information and I have been a loyal customer for over 4 years but I just left empty handed after 3 trips to the store located at 3315 Battleground Ave for 2 pairs of Fila shoes. The Kiosk right outside the shoe department indicated the expected sale price of $34.99 but the register rang up the regular price and the cashier said it was an online price or that I needed to be there before 1:00. If the store cannot honor their advertising and the store kiosk, then I will not shop there again. read more

I want to start with saying I love Kohl's. The manager at my local store knows my name, that's how much I shop there. I used to think my Albany GA local store was small until I went to this location while visiting a friend this week. This store is tiny, cluttered and so unorganized. I used to think my store was a compared to stores in Tallahassee, my next closest store. My store is a 3 1/2 4 now. Corporate what are you doing? This place is sad. read more

While moving across the country, I stopped by Greensboro to visit my mother, and while I was there I visited this Kohl's to purchase some clothes. At checkout, the cashier asked me if I wanted to sign up for a Kohl's card. I said I was moving across the country, and I said I didn't want to sign up for a credit card. They assured me it was a store discount card, and that there were Kohl's locations all across the country at which I could use it. Actually, it wasn't a store discount card. It WAS a credit card, and without telling me, they put a portion of my bill on the card, and then they sent bills to my mother's address (which they KNEW was not my permanent address), and it wasn't until three months later that I found out, by which times I had accrued late fees. What an awful, underhanded, sneaky thing for Kohl's to do. They have permanently lost me as a customer. I'm not the type to take to the internet with a negative review every time a place has a less than stellar product or less than stellar customer service, but when you mess with my money (and worse, with my credit score), I take it as a grievous insult. I will never go back, and I will also encourage others to avoid all Kohl's branches from here on out. read more

I recently moved to the area from Detroit, and was happy to find a Kohl's here. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed at how different this store was from those I'd shopped at in Michigan. The prices are at least 25% higher. The selection in the Big & Tall and men's shoes sections was smaller. I left without buying what I went searching for. To top things off, the customer service manager on duty (a woman with long dark hair) was loudly yelling at the associates and into her headset at a customer. I nearly left without purchasing the one thing I found. I will probably not go back. read more

What can I say? It's a Kohls. This location is pretty much on par with the others I've been to. I'd give it an extra star for being super close to my house, but that wouldn't really help you guys, now would it? Almost everything is on sale... Always. They obviously mark up the prices so they can mark them down and make you feel like you're really saving some moolah, but hey, I'll take that feel-good boost! Thanks, Kohls. Really, though. I made a quick stop today to handle an Amazon return and maybe browse for a minute. Linda at the Amazon desk was helpful, kind, and so friendly to everyone in line. The store is OK if you want to purchase small items, under $200. The moment you go into Furniture and For the Home, they have no customer service. I placed an order 3 time for a king mattress only for them to cancel it 3 times without so much as notification. Then try to get customer service on the phone after 11 minutes of hold time and they cannot explain why each time you place an order, they cancel it. At the end of the day, I have to go to a store who can handle home goods. My advise is if you are purchasing something large for your home, do not go to Kohls. Go to a real store. read more

This is the kohls I visit 95%. I am writing this review because I'm so use to b treated very nicely at this store, however, this employee at customer service desk needs to b removed from this position and his name is Bill. I was waited on by him yesterday and his attitude because I forgot my receipt is undesirable, he was most rude by facial expressions. I told my wife and she had the same experience I had and we hope the kohls mgr reads this. I would talk to me if he likes. read more

I must say that I really like shopping at Kohls when I get the chance. They usually have great clothing and shoes, and are a great place to purchase accessories such as watches and belts. I recently came to this Kohl's location and contrary to the other reviews, I had a great experience. This store in particular was a little disorganized when it came to accessories and gifts, however they still had a good selection of products here on sale. Say what you want about whether or not the prices are really reflective of their respective discounts, I find many of the stuff they have here to be of excellent quality, and that this location does a great job keeping things in stock. read more

Stopped by this Kohls today to break up the long return journey to W est Jefferson . This store was an absolute mess. The stock on display was out of place and in complete disarray, the sales racks were not sorted or organized in any manner, and there was merchandise in the aisles on the floor. It was so frustrating to even search for anything that I left empty handed...a first for me after a trip to kohls, especially with a gift card in hand. It looked like the merchandise and the displays were completely ignored. Shame on the store personnel for the condition of this store and on the management for accepting this practice. read more

There is an online pickup line, sign, and special checkout but no one is staffing it today. I'm here to pick up a product I ordered online. I would have been first in line but I have had to wait 30+ min to be helped. They have 3 more registers that could be staffed. They couldn't find my online order after I stood in line waiting. I really love this store! I buy most of my clothes and my son's clothes here. They are of good quality and last very well. I love how they let you stack discounts so even the penny-pinchers can feel good about shopping. The store associates are usually very nice and helpful. I will remain a faithful customer as long as shopping is feasible. read more

This must be the worst Kohl's location I've ever been to. Not only was the store terribly unorganized, but they had extremely poor customer service as well. My mother and I stopped at this location today (8-4-15) in order to shop for shoes. We were in the market to purchase two pairs. We found one pair that would fit my daughter but there was only one shoe in the box. I asked at the customer service desk for assistance in the shoe department and we remained there for 30 minutes and no one ever showed up to help us. Shoe stock was pitched everywhere and half of the stock didn't even show a price. I wouldn't return to this store for all the money in the world. read more

i will have to agree strongly with others, when trying to buy sale priced merchandise and no pricing is available, but; it's on sale!? that's bad enough, but; when no one in the store (including the manager) can't give you a price, that's even worse. why have it out, when you can't affix a price on it? their best suggestion is to pay the price on the nearest item (simuliar) that is not on sale and not in the bargain area. otherwise, don't put this merchandise out or for sale, if you don't know what to sell it for. send it back to distribution, store it away or even give it away to the needy and take a tax break! nuff said. read more
