I was searching Yelp for surrounding Kohl's stores and almost didn't find this location because the initial first review listed it (incorrectly) as SEPHORA at Kohl's. I just submitted a change, we'll see if it gets updated. It is a Kohl's store with a Sephora located inside of it. Even the signage on the building clearly says Kohl's + Sephora. Anyway, we had been to another location the day before to look for some dress shirts for hubby for an upcoming wedding that we are attending. Somehow we ended up with a wrong size shirt. The label on the shirt was what we needed but the sew in label says L, but we needed a M. We found the identical shirt in the correct size to take up to the checkout to exchange. As I passed by the Intimate's department, I couldn't help but notice the huge inventory of bras and panties. It was such a joy to have so much selection to look through! I found multiple bras to buy (because of course, it was buy one, get one half off, so you have to buy 2 if you're getting some). That really helps the cost seem more reasonable. I don't like paying full price for anything! It's great having so much selection to choose from and that you can try them on. So much better than buying online and have to ship back the rejects. We had bought a bunch of stuff at the other location and received Kohl's cash, so sometimes it's a pain to go an exchange or return because it impacts your Kohl's cash. Luckily, we found the correct size men's dress shirt and I had brought along the Kohl's cash and my receipt and the exchange was painless! I mentioned what a great big Intimate department that was located here. The sales clerk was very kind and had a nice smile and attitude! She thanked us for coming to this location and said that she hoped we would come back. Well, we ended up with even more Kohl's cash so next week we'll be back to spend it! read more

Mom was on the lookout for a more comfortable outfit to change into during a wedding reception. (You know... after all the formal pictures have been taken, etc...) They took out the scanners from the store so I asked an employee if she had one so I check the price before carrying a rug through the store. She told me to scan the product with the app. It showed the rug was on sale. Went to check out and the cashier told me it was much higher. I showed her the scanned amount but it didn't matter. Somehow I should know the rug i wanted was "out of stock" and the app pulled up the next best thing. It makes no sense. Kohl's Sephora is terrible! I ordered a shipment of make-up and after 3 weeks had no order. I called and they told me that everything was boxed up and they were waiting on UPS to pick up the order. (Basically blaming UPS for the delay). They told me to call back next week. I contacted customer service the following week and was told my items were out of stock and I would get a refund for some of my items. Mind you I purchased these items on sale and they were in stock when Kohl's charged my card. How is it out of stock if my items were boxed and waiting on UPS. I will never order from Sephora at Kohl's online ever again, and suggest you do the same! Just go into a free standing Sephora. Kohl's is going to destroy this brand. read more

I visited a grand total of four Kohl's store during my stay in the Dallas area. This one was the only one where I put my phone away and did not take any photos. My boyfriend and I visited this location after he was done work. This store is the closest one to our hotel in Plano. He was in sweet mode. I was looking at bras and he is perfectly comfortable shopping for them with me, compared to when we first started dating. I pointed out that I love the Bali line that I have only found at Kohl's. You buy them by t-shirt size. They come in beautiful colours. They are so comfortable that you can wear them all day. They don't dig into you. And, the coverage is perfect. There was a sale going on where you buy one and get the second for half price. He wanted to get them for me as a gift. I saw a pretty pink version. We were looking for a purple bra and he managed to find the last one in my size. He has come a long way from going into Victoria's Secret and letting a salesperson help him out with bras in my size. I have also learned that you don't necessarily get comfort from a VS bra if you plan on wearing it all day. The funny thing was that we both did not have enough cash on us to pay for the bras. We asked the woman at the checkout counter to hold these items. She was great to do just that. We drove to the nearest ATM (thanks, Google Maps) to get some money. We drove back feeling temporarily richer. He parked by the store and asked me to wait for him in the car as he went in. I gave him my phone, so he could get my rewards bar scanned from my phone. Luckily I keep up with online deals. This dress was a last minute buy and I'm so glad we found it because one of the other Kohl's hardly had a good selection which is expected being that several Daddy/Daughter dances have been going on since start of Feb. I just think $50 reg price is extreme. Dillard's has fancy dresses for $60 so my eyeballs popped out when I looked at the tag on this. Lol. However, it was on sale for $33 and I got an additional 15% off of the dress and some girls tights. Win, win! I loved that the dressing room was organized for garment placement. I understand the holiday season gets very busy given the Christmas demand, but somehow this store is always messy year round. I find it very difficult to locate correct items and sizes, not really sure where a randomly placed item came from most of the time I go. Many of their folded clothes are neatly organized, but beyond that, the clothes on hangers are completely disorganized and jumbled. It's as though Black Friday is everyday each time I come here and the shelves are swiped clean or messy. I enjoyed shopping at Kohl's over the years, but sadly the Garland store completely changed my customer experience. Placed an online order on the 13th of December. On the 14th (close to noon) the order was still not ready. I spoke to the manager named "Maribel" and asked if the order could be cancelled so I would not have to go back to the store and she was 100% unwilling to acknowledge my request and help me. I called the customer service number, my order was cancelled but the abgent never informed that my Kohl's rewards would not go back to my account/would not be available to be used. My account never showed that my order was cancelled either. I neither recommend this store for shopping, nor for picking up orders. read more

I have been going to this location since I moved to Garland and nothing has changed... it is not covid related. First off I love kohl's and have been a costumer for years and years. This location is so disgusting and unorganized. I was just browsing trying to kill time. The children's toy section was a DISASTER. The toys were broken, broken into and stuff taken out, ripped pages from books, nothing separated except for the Melissa and Doug collection. A worker was trying to find something for a order I'm assuming and I made a comment and she just laughed and said "yeah it's pretty rough, I can't find anything around here". Who says that? The purse and shoe section where the clearance items were by the sun glasses was destroyed, no organization, Starbucks all over the floor and on top of the shelves. Shoes were scattered all over the place. The candle section was insane, broken glass and the candles were put on sale with the broken ones? What if I would have cut myself? Or a child being curious? The picture frames were broken and scratched I have no clue how they can even be sold? The shoe section was beyond belief shoes were everywhere not in the boxes not organized it was crazy. I feel as though this particular Kohl's is better stocked for menswear and shoes (both men's and women's shoes). I also find that the jewelry selection of gold and diamonds is better than other locations as well. This is particularly helpful for last minute dazzling presents for my wife when needed. My wife attempts to shop here but she finds it hard to find what she is looking for, especially for her casual work environment. She's 5' 2" 126lbs so she should be able to find something but I have seen her get frustrated looking through the woman's area and the having to go look in the juniors to find something. I do love the that you can almost always find a 30% off coupon somewhere online to use when you check out. In the past you were allowed to use the discount throughout the entire store. Now the coupons are very specific. No Nike, No NFL, etc. They do happen to let you use the code on Adidas and Puma shoes. Almost every pair of shoes I own came from Kohl's. One other really nice thing is the men's suits. They have very nice selection of suit separates that with a little tailoring I end up with a nice suit. Now I'm no lawyer, nor am I a person that needs to wear a bespoke suit every day so these suits do the job for me very well. You can get out of Kohl's with a suit, shirt, belt, tie, shoes, socks, and a pocket square for right around $200.00. That is a deal. I have shopped at other Kohl's around the east side of Dallas and I think this Kohl's is really a great store, especially for the areas I mentioned above. (Side note: I take my suits to Diamonds Alterations in Rowlett off of Lakeview Parkway (HWY 66). They do a great job for a even better price.) read more

10am on a Thursday and the store was destroyed. They obviously left it like this from the night before or the night before that. I couldn't find anything in the correct place and most of the hangar tags were incorrect so I was having to check each item for the correct size. Why would I spend $200 on a blazer here when it's like playing needle in a haystack when I can go across the street to Macy's or Dillard's' and find what I need for the same or lower price? This store was in a shambles at opening time on a Sunday morning. The product on the shelves in every department I visited looked like it hadn't been organized, straightened or folded in weeks. It was impossible to find anything. And the pricing is so confusing. The prices on the products go up and down like the stock market. Very disappointed. Purchased a Citizen dive watch for my husband in their jewelry department. The watch needed links taken out. We came back and I asked the lady behind the counter if she knew how to do this, to which she advised us she did. 45 minutes of pounding later, she went to the inventory and brought out a new watch to scab pieces off of since there was an obvious problem. At that point, I asked for the brand new watch and said we'd go to a jeweler. She handed us the original watch that she jacked up, we went to the car and realized she gave us the broken watch, went back in and asked for the untouched watch. Got it, drove to Sam's Fine Jewelry at Firewheel mall and got it done correctly in less than 5 minutes for a small charge. Won't be doing that again. read more

My mother and I have gone to this Kohl's since I was in middle school. I'm now 20 years old and when my mom came home crying from how terribly they treated her because she didn't understand them (she natively speaks Spanish) and they made her feel like a burden when she tried to return shoes and told she told me how flustered she was because the lady was able to speak Spanish the entire time and spoke to her rudely because of how fast she spoke in English. I have never been more angry. My mom tries her best already to be kind and try her best at the language. I'm still waiting to get in contact with corporate. I don't want them fired but I just want them to be reprimanded and I don't ever want anyone to ever feel like that again. You don't talk to people like they're dumb. You try your best to help them. Kohl's is a department store but remain very clean. Someone is always around to assist you. They usually have discounts from 15-30% off and on top of additional promos. And they provide Kohl's cash which allows you to return and get more items. I usually purchase clothes here but they have from socks to vacuums. read more

I love Kohls so much, the clothes, the deals, but it's all ruined by the fact that not ONE hanger size matches the size on the item of clothing. I can't tell you how many times I've grabbed a dozen Mediums cause the hanger said Medium, then I get in the dressing room and I have Smalls, Larges, Extra Smalls, etc. If you're not going to match the sizes on the hangers to the clothes, then please use hangers with NO SIZES on them at all! It is super confusing and frustrating to have to double check the insides on the tags on all the clothes for the proper sizes, and it sucks because I love this store so much. Objectively speaking I would probably rate this place closer to a 3.5/4 stars, but I own so many clothes from here its gotta be a 5. I feel like a lot of people rag on Kohl's and knock the quality of the clothes, but I don't feel like the quality is any worse than Target and is better than somewhere like Forever 21, with comparable or better pricing. They also have a slew of coupons and discounts so you can always get some great deals. Most of the items I have are from their Apt 9 line, I find the style and quality of that particular line to be the most consistent. A lot of the dresses, skirts and jackets from the line actually have linings which is always something to keep an eye out for when you are judging quality. I also like the Dana Buchman line, because they have some really nice prints, but it tends to skew a little older. I normally avoid the popular Laura Conrad line, because I feel like the clothes are cute, but you are sacrificing quality for the sake of the name, I feel similarly about the Juicy Couture line and sometimes the Jennifer Lopez line too. Sonoma brand can be hit or miss, and my mom really likes the Croft and Barrow clothes. I also like the Fila athletic leggings and the Tek Gear workout tanks. They sell a lot of the name brand bras like Maidenform, Warner's, and Bali at good prices. Their home department is mediocre, avoid The Big One brand sheets and buy the Cuddl Duds blankets. Their shoes aren't that great unless you get something name brand and that department is always a mess. Handbags, accessories and jewelry are meh. Customer service has always been fine. Nothing stellar, but nothing to complain about either. read more

Been dealing for months regarding a credit. Their customer service is so poor! I was shopping in the store and purchased something online because my size wasn't available. I purchased the smaller option in-store and the larger online. I paid for both purchases using a gift card and depleted that gift card at the cash register. My online order was later cancelled because the item was not in stock after all. They said the funds were placed back on my gift card. I no longer have that gift card as it was trashed at the register following it's in store purchase. They have cheated me out of $35 dollars and I have been calling and trying to get my money back since May 28th! Such a FRAUD!!! They keep saying the are mailing me a gift card to my home address and it's been a little over 3 months and NOTHING has been done. This is RIDICULOUS I don't appreciate this and I will NEVER shop or STEP foot in a Kohl's store. Buyers beware!!! Visited this store on Saturday 11/14. I love Kohls in general, but it is very difficult to shop in THIS particular store. With no employees in sight other than cashiers, the shelves were messy, clothes were barely organized, practically none of the hangers matched the size of the items on them, and it was just a big mess everywhere you looked. I actually did see ONE employee on the floor in the shoe department, and he just walked right past a pile of trash on a bench without picking it up (even saw him look at it haha). I would give no stars if it was allowed. This place has the poorest customer service I have ever experienced with any Kohl's. First let me just say the kids shoe section is a complete DISASTER. I was looking for my daughter some size 6 shoes. There were at least 20 empty shoes boxes on the shelves. The rest were either mis-matched or there was only one shoe. I asked for help finding the second shoe to a pair that I really wanted for my daughter. The only help I received was that if I couldn't find it it wasn't there. I asked the manager at the front for help, she told me that if Paul in the shoe section couldn't find it someone else must have purchased it and that I should just order it online. EXCUSE ME if your shoe section didn't look like a tornado just blew through maybe someone could help me. Also knowing a Kohl's employee at another location and that they have spent the last two days only stocking and cleaning up I don't know what the issue is with this store!
