Clearance area in home goods is terrible and neglected. In the back northeast corner of the small kitchen gadgets there is this huge shelf that is trashed. It has customer food trash that no one has picked up that is woven in with the merchandise. They have old Easter baskets that are on clearance that customers have broken into and eaten and left the trash. The merchandise is disorganized and you don't even want to look through it. Management- get a clue!!! Tell your staff to do their jobs!!! read more

I was kept for more than half an hour waiting for my receipt because the machine gave a blank receipt for my purchase. In the end, after a long time they made a new receipt and the person who gave it to me told me, in a very loud voice and somehow scolding me, that I was not allowed to use a certain coupon more than once and I had already used it twice. He was wrong and the cashier confirmed that he was wrong. I felt embarrassed while he was scolding me in front of the rest of the customers for something I had not done. And if I had done it, that is no way to treat a customer!! He had no right to treat me like that. All the rest of the people were listening to him and looking at me. I just wanted to leave. They kept me waiting, treated me bad and not even a "sorry for the inconvenience" came out from their mouth. Soooo disappointed. read more

Not quite as nice as the one on McDermott Rd in my opinion, and driving on Preston can be a drag during the holidays. Like any other Kohl's, being able to see through the mark up/mark down nonsense is necessary. Also, knowing how to "ask" the associates for discounts is part of the game. They seem to have this stash of coupons at the register that come out depending on how nice you are to them. Mostly, the 60-70% discount racks are nice to look through. read more

I love going to Kohl's because I am guaranteed to find a good deal. There are ALWAYS sales on things, and on top of that almost always a coupon available on top of that. This location is usually pretty clean, which I appreciate when I am in a rush and need to find something quick. I went in just the other night and got two name brand sweaters, a dress, a pair of work slacks, a pair of shoes, and a tank top for about $175... I've paid more for the dress and a pair of shoes alone! The one and only complaint I have ever had about this location is the fact that the cashiers are usually kind of slow, and there is one older gentlemen who could use some serious lessons in the manners/friendliness department!! read more

I love me some Kohl's..but for some reason this location misses the mark. They recently renovated it, so it looks awesome...updated fitting rooms, restrooms, etc..but the selection isn't there. I went the other day to look for some new work out shoes, and found a nice pair on display. I looked for my size, found it and opened up the box..no shoes! I figured they must be nearby or in the back.. so I summoned an employee. She looked everywhere and said they must have been stolen. Umm, okay. So, I find another pair that looked decent, I find my size and grab the box and can already tell it's empty. I tell her again, and she's dumbfounded and suggests they were stolen as well. Yeah.. I doubt these shoes decked out in security tags were stolen, it may have been more of a lazy department issue. Or if they were stolen, had to have been an employee. Weird experience. I never had a twilight zone experience such as this at the Plano McDermott location. read more

I went in knowing that I would be shopping the clearance racks. I was not disappointed by my finds. However, when I got to the register, 4 out of the 5 items rung up incorrectly. I didn't notice the error until I got in the car. I immediately went back into the store and was directed to the customer service desk. Carrie at the desk went out of her way to help me. She was able to simply void the original transaction and re-ring everything at the corrected prices. She was very pleasant and helpful. Her type of customer service was exemplary and I was very pleased by the time we were finished. My bill went from $109 down to $81!! read more

I used to shop the McKinney, Tx store and loved it. The Preston location is now closer but don't care much for this Frisco store. Shopped after Christmas and saw no real deals, unless you wanted to buy lots of expensive ornaments. Tried to find jeans. Got really frustrated with full racks and wrong sizes put on wrong hangers. I used to do all my clothes shopping at Kohl's but it seems that prices have jumped up so much that even their clearance items are what I would consider "original" price! read more

DON'T ORDER ONLINE and pickup your order at Kohl's Frisco. My designated pickup person for some reason was not showing on the order and Nathan was inconsiderate and rude and would not allow him to pickup the order even though he had the email order pickup printout from my account. Even when I was placed on the phone and told them it was OK, they would not allow the pickup. Marlan Nathan's supervisor was not much more help and just quoted company policy. They would not even ship it to me after all that hassle. It was not like this pickup person was picking up a color TV, it was simply 2 bundles of socks and a pair of work out pants! These are the types of these that causes businesses to shut down. read more

I experienced an incident at Kohl's today that left an unfavorable impression and caused me to cancel an intended purchase. I was shopping today for men's dress shirts and I have always had success with Kohl's. So, I proceeded to drive to Kohl's to make my purchase. It was slightly beginning to rain, but it was nothing drastic. As I entered the parking lot and proceeded to the entrance, I was shocked to find the doors locked. Two other customers, myself plus one employee was dumbstruck and wondered aloud if Kohl's was shuttering their stores? Finally, a tall black employee ventured to the locked doors to announce that the store was closed because of the weather. Frustrated, I left to take care of the other errands I needed to accomplished, and I returned three (3) hours later to purchase the dress shirts from earlier. I entered the store and asked to speak to the manager to inquire about the earlier incident. After waiting 5 to 10 minutes, this guy walked up and he was dressed like someone working in the backroom instead of a clean - cut, well - dressed store's representative. I introduced myself and inquired about the store's closure earlier. Detecting a slight irritation in his voice, I listened as he attempted to provide a lame excuse that Kohl's has an internal weather warning system and that protocol recommended closing the store to ensure the safety of the employees and the customers within the store. The problem with his statement was the fact that the store was locked a good 30 minutes before Frisco's emergency sirens were activated and no other business from Rolater to Business 121 was close. In the end, I did not make my intended purchase because this Kohl's representative flippant attitude suggested that he could care less whether I spend my disposable income there or not. So, I decided to let my wallet speak for me. read more

They make it impossible to return or exchange gifts. For a return they would give me $5 for a pair of dress slacks. Umm no! For an exchange you have to find one item for the exact amount (not even a penny off) in the same department. Well that's almost impossible to find. Rude service to boot!!! read more

I love this Kohl's! Jack, manager, is super nice and wants the customer to be happy. JJ, on the other hand don't really give a poop. If he doesn't know the answer to your question or can't figure the computer out, you lose. He will just blow you off. I had a $10 coupon and he couldn't figure out why the computer wouldn't accept it so he said it was only for online. I was supposed to get a $10 Kohl's cash and since he couldn't find the paper that slides into the printer he just blew it off and sent me away, saying he couldn't find the paper! I told Jack about it one day, not knowing he was in management and he told me that the registers had been having trouble with that coupon all day and that JJ should have honored it. read more

Kohls has a wide range of products and does a good job of separating their categories. They have a large women's, men's, juniors, and children's section as well as home furnishing and kitchen products. They offer coupons for 15 percent off almost everyday which seems to please the customers. They also frequently add bigger deals such as 25 to 30 percent off and often do promotions such as opportunities for Kohl's cash which are essentially a $10 coupon for whatever you like. They have friendly employees but they are incredibly slow. With one person in front of you it can still take up to 15 minutes to be seen. This tends to be because they like to talk to customers about Kohl's cards at the register, causing more conversation and questions asked at the register. They try their hardest but are not always successful at getting people checked out very fast, but overall it is a great store to shop at. read more

I came in the evening of July 6th to exchange sizes for a set of pajamas before I left town the next morning. I found the new size, took that and my bag with the original set to the customer service desk to make the switch in sizes. The rude "customer service" woman, said she was not able to ring me since their system was down. I said I only needed to switch a size and she maintained her position that she could not ring me up but offered to hold the item for me. This was not helpful since I needed the item that I had in my hand now, not later. So why on earth would the store be open and allow shoppers to spend time shopping only to be disappointed when they arrived at the check-out lane and told their order could NOT be rung up??? WTH- at the very least they should have had a notice on the front doors AND made frequent verbal announcements so shoppers would be aware that they were wasting their time shopping and would have to leave empty handed. Extremely disappointing. read more
