I've come here many, many, many, times just to browse and relieve stress - yes I'm a women, and shopping can be calling and relaxing. A great selection of jewelry, purses and shoes. And an even better selection of the women's clothing and the homegoods section!!! 9/10 times I would walk out with something. Even if that something only cost me $5. Very rarely did I walk out empty handed. It was clean and the staff were always helpful! The staff working the fitting room were always nice and helpful as well! It didn't matter how many items you brought in with you! You could try on your whole cart if you wished!

I was in the area so I decided to give this one a go and I'm really glad I did. I purchased an adorable butterfly ring from the Jewlery counter and the cashier was absolutely wonderful! She didn't sigh at every request unlike my experience at other Tj Maxx's. I found that most of the people who worked here were wonderful. Another woman told me about all the new items they had just gotten in and pointed me in the right direction. I ended up buying more stuff and when I went to cash out at the register I was in awe at how friendly and helpful this cashier also was. This store is also ORDERLY and neat unlike other TJ's where you can't find anything! Maybe it's because I had so many problems at other stores that I was expecting worse, but I'm glad I gave it a go and I would definitely return to this store! Kudos to the management here for training really helpful and friendly cashiers and for keeping it clean!

I had 90 minutes to kill before the event so I went exploring whatever that section of town is called.. Westerly Center maybe? Lots of interesting shops, friendly looking bars, restaurants, and a commuter rail train station that has the most amazing art gallery, of all things. But this is a review of Christina LTD, a great little clothing and novelty items store down the block from the United. I went in to poke around and saw clothing which looked interesting, but I wasn't in the mood to look at clothes. What really caught my eye were some novelty items that will be on my shopping list for Christmas. I was laughing out loud browsing these items. First to get my attention was a table on which were spread little boxes of gum with the most hilarious statements on the cover. I took pictures but not sure they would be allowed in Yelp so I'll give them to you here: "How About a Big Pack of Shut the Hell Up!", "I gave a s--- earlier. You missed it." and "Cut the S---, Anxiety!" I was already cracking up as I picked those up to purchase; there were another 8 or 10 equally as funny but my house has enough stuff lying around. I moved on to another section and there was shelving with a ton of socks with similarly funny sayings on them. I was still giggling, and planning who will get these gifts. There was a ton of other stuff there to please.. candles, oils, cards, I don't even remember all that was there. I just know that I will be back before Christmas to tackle my list of gifts. Probably back many times. What a gem! You are very lucky if you live close to this store.

Imagine you're putting on a fair, and while attendees from all over the world and campuses attend,…read morethe stars are local gifts given a new life to be sold or resold here, at the Fisher Home Hospice Shop. That is the Fisher Home Hospice Shop: a marvelous showroom of timeless artifacts, clothes, books, games, and necessities that you might overlook or fail to live without. Let me give you a nice laundry list of my purchase of a tidy litany of needs, all for under a hundred dollars: Relevant literature/books for me, my new favorite clutch purse bag, snow gloves, two phone holders for vehicles, fine clothing for me and my family, household staples like notepads or three ring binder punches, and for sure my list could go on. Let's stop saying that the money you pay for these is too much or too little and instead look to what your purchase does: it funds the Fisher Hospice Home. This isn't your typical 'store,' and would be more fair to call it a non-profit venture. Volunteers maintain the store floor, swap out goods seasonally, review donations, and they all work as volunteers, for gratuity alone. The love they spend on what visitors might like is obvious, from their childrens' toy section, to their miniature library, to the household goods section. The space is maintained, full of light, and is accessible. What might challenge you is that what you find here is going to be more personal to you, instead of some wide class you happen to be a part of. That is what happens when you merchandise in timeless necessities--you would just as likely find a selfie stick here as you might find typewriter paper. What you leave with is actually liberating: there's no tracker of your behavior as a consumer, there's no brand loyalty that you're analyzed for, you're just a local shopper. Perhaps that's why the Fisher Home Hospice Shop feels like any internationally savvy visitor would visit, because what strikes you might be as surprising as any other bargain reseller, like Marshalls or TJ Maxx. Here, it's local, it's for a cause, and it's open to the public. A former friend recommended I visit the Fisher Home Hospice Shop, and I now regret I thought their advice meant I would only visit once! :)
