I've come here many, many, many, times just to browse and relieve stress - yes I'm a women, and shopping can be calling and relaxing. A great selection of jewelry, purses and shoes. And an even better selection of the women's clothing and the homegoods section!!! 9/10 times I would walk out with something. Even if that something only cost me $5. Very rarely did I walk out empty handed. It was clean and the staff were always helpful! The staff working the fitting room were always nice and helpful as well! It didn't matter how many items you brought in with you! You could try on your whole cart if you wished!

I was in the area so I decided to give this one a go and I'm really glad I did. I purchased an adorable butterfly ring from the Jewlery counter and the cashier was absolutely wonderful! She didn't sigh at every request unlike my experience at other Tj Maxx's. I found that most of the people who worked here were wonderful. Another woman told me about all the new items they had just gotten in and pointed me in the right direction. I ended up buying more stuff and when I went to cash out at the register I was in awe at how friendly and helpful this cashier also was. This store is also ORDERLY and neat unlike other TJ's where you can't find anything! Maybe it's because I had so many problems at other stores that I was expecting worse, but I'm glad I gave it a go and I would definitely return to this store! Kudos to the management here for training really helpful and friendly cashiers and for keeping it clean!

Imagine you're putting on a fair, and while attendees from all over the world and campuses attend,…read morethe stars are local gifts given a new life to be sold or resold here, at the Fisher Home Hospice Shop. That is the Fisher Home Hospice Shop: a marvelous showroom of timeless artifacts, clothes, books, games, and necessities that you might overlook or fail to live without. Let me give you a nice laundry list of my purchase of a tidy litany of needs, all for under a hundred dollars: Relevant literature/books for me, my new favorite clutch purse bag, snow gloves, two phone holders for vehicles, fine clothing for me and my family, household staples like notepads or three ring binder punches, and for sure my list could go on. Let's stop saying that the money you pay for these is too much or too little and instead look to what your purchase does: it funds the Fisher Hospice Home. This isn't your typical 'store,' and would be more fair to call it a non-profit venture. Volunteers maintain the store floor, swap out goods seasonally, review donations, and they all work as volunteers, for gratuity alone. The love they spend on what visitors might like is obvious, from their childrens' toy section, to their miniature library, to the household goods section. The space is maintained, full of light, and is accessible. What might challenge you is that what you find here is going to be more personal to you, instead of some wide class you happen to be a part of. That is what happens when you merchandise in timeless necessities--you would just as likely find a selfie stick here as you might find typewriter paper. What you leave with is actually liberating: there's no tracker of your behavior as a consumer, there's no brand loyalty that you're analyzed for, you're just a local shopper. Perhaps that's why the Fisher Home Hospice Shop feels like any internationally savvy visitor would visit, because what strikes you might be as surprising as any other bargain reseller, like Marshalls or TJ Maxx. Here, it's local, it's for a cause, and it's open to the public. A former friend recommended I visit the Fisher Home Hospice Shop, and I now regret I thought their advice meant I would only visit once! :)

The owner is a rude, dismissive, condescending control freak…read more.... Was interested in consigning... both times, speaking with her over the phone to get an idea of what she was looking for; and when I brought in some things, She never stopped talking! And I mean she NEVER STOPPED TALKING. After the phone conversation, I thought.... will she be accommodating and be a person that could work well with my things on consignment...? I decide to give it a try. When I went to drop off, the motor mouth started again and did not stop until she scrutinized the clothing, accessory and shoes. When I managed to get a word in edgewise, she repeated the same thing over and over, like I was stupid and didn't either understand or hear her the firs 5 times she said it. I agreed to consign, believing the clothing etc. would be on the selling floor either that day or next. After a week, I thought it might be a good thing to check to see if anything sold. When I arrived, she was deep in conversation with a "looky loo".... I asked about the things and immediately she went into a tirade saying that she told me the things would not be out on the selling floor either bcoz they were spring..... huh? Why would I consign and leave my possessions over to her to be put " wherever she wanted"....? And not to be sold on the selling floor???? Either she's completely crazy or she took me a fool... When I asked why she didn't tell me this... she raised her voice, became belligerent and kept repeating " they're spring items, they are spring things....over and over". When I saw and heard her attitude with me, I raised my voice also and said why would I leave my things with you and not be out for possible sale/s. She did not appreciate me questioning her, bcoz she's such a controlling individual so I asked for all my things back immediately. Upon leaving her overstocked, cluttered, messy environmen, and a poor excuse for a consignment shop, I let her know she's a rude, insulting, nasty person who obviously feels the deep need to act obnoxious... toward a "potential client" ! So glad I did not give her any of my business... I have consigned before... many times in the neighborhoods of Needham, Norwell and Brookline. Avoid this person and place if you can......Terrible owner!!
