The Old Navy store model hasn't changed in years. It's very predictable and familiar. Low prices abound. Things don't generally fit me as we'll as I'd like them too. I can't recall the last time I actually purchased something but somehow I still find myself ending up here. Employees don't go out of their way to be helpful - not that would expect them to. It would be a nice change from the norm, though. It could be Old Navy 2.0. Overall it's an average experience on all levels.

When I shopped here, the store was having a 50%-off sale! Wow! Unfortunately, most of the clothing was in colors that do not look the best on me--brown, black, beige, and olive green. I would prefer that the store offer clothing in colors that flatter different women's skin tones. Nonetheless, I did find some clothes in my preferred colors of blue, grey, and green. As for service, an employee interacted nicely with me.

Well, the store is currently in a temporary location. It was a very large space with awkwardly placed fitting rooms and feels very cold and empty compared to a typical permanent location. The sales associates were adequately friendly but not very outgoing. If they had been, I may have been tempted to shop around, despite the sterile environment. I look forward to going back to their normal location after the updates are complete.

The selection of products varies widely, and you never know what you will find when you visit. For example, clothing for women, men, and children tends to be disorganized on packed racks, because each style might be available in a quantity of only one. I bought a set of four Oneida baking sheets for $11, which I thought was a good value for the quality. When I was ready to check out, I waited for only one minute. The cashier said hello, efficiently rang up my product, and said thank you. Ross is not one of my favorite stores, but I like to stop in periodically to find treasures.

We decided to go somewhere else briefly and came back, and Jess remembered us immediately. She saw us shopping around for bras and I think overheard conversation about me having no idea how to size myself for a bra. Jess came over and offered to help me find the correct size (even though I'm a Cincinnatian), measured me, put me in a dressing room and brought multiple options for me to try on. Sometimes, being a woman who doesn't fall under the "societal beauty standards" body wise, it can be very intimidating to ask for help when trying to size for anything. She was so incredible, friendly, and non-judge mental. In fact I don't think I felt poorly one time when speaking with her. She mentioned that this store is not the location she actually works at and she was just filling in. I somehow need this message to get to her boss because she absolutely needs a raise- she made my entire day and I would hug her if I could or move her to Cincinnati myself so I never have another negative shopping experience. It has kind of made it's way over to this Boscov's location. Do I think Boscov's will close it's doors? No. Just look at their location in Frederick, MD. Do they need to improve this place? YES! This location is much like most of their locations, two-leveled and departments spread throughout, with their bargain auditorium as and added plus. That's why we came here. I always get a gag gift for whomever gets a gift from me. Boscov's auditorium is usually the best place to find off the wall items to throw in for a gag gift. Prices are usually lower than ticketed and sometimes, can be used practically. I went up and down each aisle in there and grabbed an arm full of items that ended up being less than $30 total. This is where the highlights end. The auditorium was located upstairs. Escalators going up were in fine working order. However, when we went to leave, the escalators going down were closed off for repairs. Next logical place to go would be to the elevator. Make our way to the elevator only to find that it just decided to quit working. A lady had gotten into it and hit the button for it to move only for it to not close its doors and not move. It kind of felt like we were trapped here. But there was a sign that pointed you towards the customer service area stating "Stairs". We get there and start following the signs. The signs lead you to a door that says "Emergency Exit: Alarm will sound." Thinking that this was in the Customer Service area and there being a counter here you would have someone direct you what to do. However, no one was manning the counter and there we were, a group of people, confused with what we were to do next. I decided that I would take the chance at pushing the door open. Glad I did, or we would have been standing there in our confusion for a while. When I opened the door there was another sign pointing down indicating that we were to go this way. This led us to the back of the store, kind of where the staff breakroom was and where they housed the backstock. We get to the bottom and start following the signs to indicate where we would get back to the sales floor. Only to be met with a door like upstairs. We weren't sure if this would take us out to the salesfloor or outside. Pushed it open and we were back on the salesfloor. You know what would have solved this problem easier and not caused confusion. Turn the power off to the up escalator and allow people to use them as...wait for it...stairs. It was a total inconvenience to all customers to be led on a wild goose chase with no guide. Plus I'm pretty sure this could be considered a hassle, especially to someone that might not be capable of using the stairs. Hopefully it is fixed by now, but who knows. If you find yourself in this situation, and this is probably the only time you can do this, ignore the warning signs.

My husband was attempting to purchase a man's razor that wasn't marked. They had several different varieties on the shelf all banged up and open boxed and he just happened to be impressed with one that wasn't priced. When we put it with the other items the bar code didn't scan and the checkout lady turned to her supervisor said it wouldn't scan and make a pointing motion to where a tag had apparently fell off as you can still see the adhesive residue. i wanted to just pay for what I had and let them sort this out to keep the line moving but that lady said oh i can suspend this transaction..(thanks asshole!) So she suspended my transaction with the push of one key and ripped off my receipt and handed to her fucking manager so I got pushed aside with that lady to another register...she was on that computer looking up shit for at least 10-15 mintues wtih no success and stated she would have to call another store to find the pricce...SERIOUSLY....????? She never even walked her ample ass to the display to see if she could locate a sticker or bar code---I suggested she find a similar product and use that but she just couldn't do that because it would mess up her precious inventory...seems like they already have a problem. I am not a woman with great patience....so I told the husband he didn't need that damn razor and made the lady take my money for my few other items that I obviously wanted or I would have just left it all and went elsewhere but I did want my little travel cover for my kindle and the dog leash and collar for my dog...so I let her take another 10 mintues to review my entire receipt and finally take my money... Next time I'm skipping this store and experience....
