I always enjoy a quick stroll thru Goodwill. I usually bypass clothes and shoes and head towards the house things. Every once in awhile I can pick up a few unique things I can use. I've found recently on a few visits to local stores that they have raised prices on everything. What used to cost $2 now seems to cost $4 or more. I recently saw a picture in a frame that I thought was nice. They had a $25 sticker on it and the frame and glass were cracked. Some of the clothes I can find cheaper on clearance at Walmart or Target. I have also seen items with the original price sticker from when they were bought, and a Goodwill sticker beside it with a higher price. I understand they want to make more profits but let's be reasonable. People come to Goodwill for the bargains. I rarely go anymore. read more

I used to really enjoy this location but like many goodwills they have changed the way they price there inventory. Quite honestly I don't even bother going anymore. Everything is overly priced and most key everything is junk. I can literally purchase new for a few dollars more. Granted you may be looking for something unique and vintage but I promise you will dig for hours. Items used to be priced individually now everything is lumped together in categories. An example being stuffed animals, they are all in one big box listed for 2.99. Some are worth a quarter and others $10. It doesn't make sense to me. read more

I was there today looking around for baskets for a fundraiser. This is only the second time I've been there, first time everything was fine. I spent maybe an hour walking around looking for things to use as baskets for a fundraiser. I get to the register and the girl is wrapping my ceramic items and this other staff member comes out of nowhere. She says to the girl that the price on the ceramic bowl I picked up had the wrong price-it was the plastic price. I have no idea what's going on and she rescans everything I have. It suddenly hits me that she thinks I switched tags, I ask her that and she says you have tags hanging off your cart. It was one. I said if I changed tags why would I be dumb enough to leave it on the cart? I ask her if she has anything to say and she says a fake exaggerated sorry. I'm still not really sure what I did but I left. I left my things there and left. Of course I don't know her name but I will find it out. How sad to think someone would steal from GoodWill. read more

Probably the worst customer service experience I've ever experienced. I came into this store in early May and while I didn't find what I originally set out to look for I ended up purchasing some items. At the cash wrap, I was told that the card reader wasn't working properly and I was told to re-insert my card again. I left the very average store after paying with my items. Several days later, it was realized that I was charged well over $100 for my purchases which was significantly less. When I came in to bring this to the store manager's attention, she behaved in a very rude manner. She treated me as though I made it all up even though I had my receipt and my bank statement in hand saying things like "well that is what your bank is claiming." Like, what? Why throw around accusations when there's a clear, defined way to get to the root of this and do simple math. She was very short and spoke orders at me. I waited and waited while she looked up the transaction "in the back" and she finally discovered the store's mistakes. Upon discovery, she only said come over here with your receipt. She then said "enter your card." I was immediately annoyed because that will tie up my $ for 3-5 days, I asked if they could refund my money with cash. She said "I don't think we have enough." Without even checking. I asked her to check and she said they didn't have any cash. Next, I noticed the price on the card reader was still the incorrect amount the be refunded. So I asked for that to be corrected before finally inserting my card. I was given a receipt and she underlined something on it and shoved it across the counter with her hand without saying anything. So I asked her, "are you sorry that this happened to me?" And she nodded and I said "are you grateful for my business?" And she said yeah but ..... then went into a spiel trying to excuse her own faulty response. "I had to look all this stuff up" she said to me LOL to which I relied, "Yes, that's your job." Unbelievable. Hopefully, I get refunded. This wasn't a small amount of $ to me! I found her behavior and dispositions to be unacceptable for someone in her position and I find this type of error made by Goodwill to be unforgivable. I will think twice before donating or stepping foot in one to shop ever again. This experience and staff has tarnished the brand's reputation for me. read more

Goodwill is my friend. Everyone is so helpful and courteous at the drop off, I am never shy about shopping by to make a drop off. I have never visited the store, but I intend to do so soon and will update after my visit. The thing I love about Goodwill is the fact that it's such a great cause. Sales of my donated items help to fund such a good cause. The first time I shopped at Goodwill was for a DIY picture frame project. I found great frames here and some were unused and still in their new packaging for cheap. While I was looking for frames, I noticed the book and board game section. This location has the best selection for these. I've also been to their Wexford and McKnight locations, but Cranberry is the cleanest one. I was surprised that some books are recently released, and I've been lucky to find brand new, unused board games too. Recently, I came here to check out their halloween costumes. They have a section for halloween that is donated by costume shops (possibly surplus?, so they are new/unworn). Unfortunately, I didn't find anything I like, but it might be worth checking out esp for kids' costumes. Because it's a second hand store, each visit will be a different experience, but I recommend this place if you are looking for inexpensive picture frames, books and board games. I can't say anything about clothes/shoes bc I haven't personally browsed/purchased them from here. At times, there will be a wait at the register, but the associates are nice: they wrap breakable items, ask if you have a student, senior or military discount, and the staff at the donation center are always there and efficient. My experience when I've donated at other Goodwill and Salvation Army stores were not as pleasant as here. read more

Worst donating experience...the Cranberry Twp Goodwill, a supposedly non-profit enterprise (they actually pay their disabled workers well below minimum wage and pay the top folks hefty salaries) essentially acts like a consignment shop, without the benefits. I took used but sturdy dining room chairs in decent, good condition and was told they did not want them. The person was quite insulting and said that Goodwill was not a dump for people's junk! Actually, unless an item is broken, damaged, or unusable, a donation business should accept it. Maybe the lady was just in a bad mood because she certainly came out swinging! Sheesh! From now on I will donate clean, used items to true non-profits like St.Vincent de Paul or Salvation Army!! read more

This store is one of the worst goodwills i have ever been in! It is disorganized filthy and expensive for junk!!! The merchandise is falling off shelves piled on top of other junk and the employees rude. The prices are outrageous! Someone must be using resale comps from ebay in the donation area. If you want to donate goods donate somewhere that prices merchandise to be affordable! This store has stopped being a charity prices are better at Walmart where you can find new items at a cheaper price. read more

I'm not entirely sure why this Goodwill only has two stars. I thoroughly enjoy shopping here. I've found some great tops and skirts and even some awesome furniture. In this wonderful age of DIY activities, this Goodwill is filled with the opportunity to find the creative project of your dreams. I think the racks of clothes are in impeccable order. It's crazy easy to look for your size. I've never been there and thought, "ugh! Why are all the sizes mixed up?!" This is a big deal to me because I'm not the world's greatest shopper to begin with so it makes it far less stressful to identify the rack that's my size and have at it! Prices are, obviously, incredibly reasonable. I picked up three Ikea kitchen chairs for $4 a piece and revamped them to match my kitchen table. It, of course, can be hit or miss so you have to keep an open mind. Overall, the staff is nice and the place is clean and there is constantly new donations coming through. It's my favorite place to thrift! read more

I used to visit every week before teaching in Pittsburgh. Loved to see the variety of things that were on display. Sometimes one could get a major deal on an expensive suitcase. You have to mine this store weekly to make it worthwhile. Donations come in and are resold. i really don't know how to go about this review. I stopped in duing my lunch one day. I mean a thrift store in an upper class area? yes please! The first thing I noticed is that they offer a lot of purses. Some were really cute and in good shape. While browsing shoes I saw a pair of red Keds that looked newer. I also saw a pair of sperrys that weren't too bad. I browsed the home selection which had alot of plates, cups and vases. other items seemed to be worn down. I didn't leave with shoes or a purse, but I did find a cute sweater (American eagle brand) and its was $5! great find. My problem with this goodwill is the layout--- of both the store and the parking lot. The store was crazy busy during my lunch at 1pm. I mean BUSY! I couldn't even find a parking spot! There was another car In front of me waiting for a spot.. so a lined formed to even PARK here.. The layout inside is awkward if you ask me. The aisles are very tiny. no way can 2 carts get through. There's got to be a better system. some aisles are vertical, others are horizontal which makes things even more crowded. The goodwill by my house in southside is always changing its layout to change things up and give the store some new life by moving stuff around. it was waayyy too tiny in here. Add a crap ton of people and it was not the best thrift store experience. I love thrifting and im sure great finds can be purchased here, but browsing and taking your time is nearly impossible since theres no room for other carts and its over crowded. I'll try back one day after work to see if the crowd is smaller at that time. read more

I found an entire outfit for my daughters baptism (skirt, sweater, shoes, and purse) as well as a tie for my boyfriend and hat for my son for under $20!! Now for the bad, the layout inside is very cramped and dark. Also there is only one fitting room in the store right now, the other one is being remodeled, I was there on a Saturday afternoon so it was relatively busy and I ended up waiting about 45 minutes for a fitting room. Another thing I didn't quite understand is that the shoes are on top of the clothing racks instead of organized all in one location so you have to wander all over the store just to see the selection, and they aren't even put up by size I thought that this was very inconvenient. All in all it was a good experience the store just needs better organizational skills. read more

I give donations there. I am short and trying to lift heavy bags up on that dock is a real struggle for me. The men working there just stand there watching and will not help. The guy told me they are not allowed off the dock. I now go to the Goodwill in Wexford where they will help you unload your vehicle. I will never go back to the Cranberry store! read more

the only complaint I have regards the new, higher pricing that was instituted along with the color of the week sale. It seems sometimes that the colored tags are swapped out to benefit the store, particularly in housewares. One time you go there and everything you like in housewares has a yellow tag, but the sale is on red. Then you go back when it's yellow tag sale week, and the housewares magically all have red tags on them. Not certain because I haven't tested this theory, but it seems fishy that whatever color the sale is, the housewares aren't that color..... read more

Store is reasonably clean but smells stale. Difficult to access and small parking lot. Associates are usually friendly and helpful. Good selection of clothing if that's your thing. I'm happy to see these clothes for sale at Goodwill as opposed to them disintegrating in the Seneca landfill. Review #145. read more

This location told me that they throw away 75% of their donations. I saw pallets of good stuff being put into a dumpster and my almost new childrens othing was also being thrown away not even making it to the store. They also said if something doesnt sell in three weeks then it gets tossed. Dont donate here. You're better off just throwing your stuff away, but it's definitely not getting to those in need. read more

While prices are relatively good, selection is terrible. I frequent thrift stores quite often, this store and the Wexford stores are the worst of the 5-6 goodwills I go to. It's like the workers throw away things that people may look for and just put out what they think may sell and they aren't very good at choosing those things. read more

This store has the worst customer service of any Goodwill I have ever been to. The manager (short, heavy set blonde with glasses-id guess in her fifties) is extremely rude and should not be in a job that requires her to work with people. Ever. I was waiting in a huge line that literally reached the back of the store, and I was about half way through the line and realized I needed to leave soon to pick up my daughter from preschool and there was no way I would make it at the pace they were going with one cashier-I asked another employee working nearby if there was anyone else who was able to run the other register; she looked at the line, understanding my frustration and said something to the young cashier about calling for someone else in the back to help. The other guy who could help said the register wasn't even set up for him to run. I ask the girl at the register if it would be possible for them to hold my things and I would pick up the next day and she said no, so i asked to speak with a manager...I had already been in line for 20 minutes with a fidgety 3 yr old at this point and still had 3 people ahead of me...the manager came over and asked "what's the problem" and I explained that I had been in line a long time and had to leave to pick up my child could they hold my things and she said "no we won't do that", and I was pretty irate at that point so I said they really should have another cashier running register with a line this long (there were about 8 people behind me at this point) , that it was ridiculous and she argued with me and just said "no, this is fine we have someone else that comes later and no one is complaining about it other than you." And then she accused me of complaining before about the long lines, and I said no I don't think so and she argued with me and said "oh yes it was". Completely unbelievable. Miserable. The new store on freedom rd in Cranberry has much nicer (and efficient) staff...the rt 19 one used to have some really friendly, helpful workers but I think they were driven away by this awful shrew. All this, and an employee told me a few months ago that this store throws away over half of what gets donated...gross bathroom, just done with this place...go a couple miles further to the nice one. read more
