I love Kohl's. I have been making up for lost time by hitting a number of them whenever I have a chance. On Thursday, I specifically was here to check whether there were baby Yoda silicone ice cube trays. The store in Eagan only had one, which I picked up for myself. I used it to make the most adorable, yet functional ice cubes in my hotel room's freezer that I needed to get one for a friend as a gift. I lucked out. This place had six of these ice cube trays. I got one. They were a steal at 50% off. This store also had a nice selection of graphic t-shirt. I ended up getting a Disney one with classic characters on the front, such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Daisy, Donald Duck, and Goofy. It was on sale, so I had to. I needed to try the t-shirt in a fitting room. Due to the pandemic, the store has one main fitting room in the middle of the store. The smaller ones scattered around the store were closed off. The fitting room that I was in was clean and bright. I liked the three hooks and a long rail to hang my items up and try them on. I ended up getting a long-sleeved tie-dyed shirt that was also marked down. I loved that the sleeves were longer. I normally have the reverse problem with sleeves. I went to line up at this store. It was a couple of days before Christmas, so the line was longer than usual. It moved at a decent pace. I got an older woman at the checkout who was in good spirits. I paid using a credit card. I also had my Kohl's points barcode scanned. It's a decent store with a ton of parking. Like with all Kohl's, you can do curbside pickup. The customer service counter is to the right when you enter the set of doors to the right of the Kohl's logo. This store is also special because it has a Sephora built into it. The Sephora is decent. It felt like being at a regular standalone one. I was impressed with the products that I saw, from the complete Fenty Beauty line, to Drunk Elephant. I liked shopping here. I have shopped at this Kohls location for over 20 years & today will be my last visit. The service has digressed significantly over the past several years. I understand that there was a complete paradigm shift post-Covid, however; you can only use that excuse for so long. The employees seem as though they are not properly trained to do the simplest of tasks regarding returns/price adjustments, etc. I attempted to return a hat/glove set that didn't fit this morning. The employee that helped (?) me was unable to locate the order number or SKU number of the product in her computer even though I pulled up the order on my phone & provided the information to her. She tried over & over again. I was becoming impatient & asked her to get someone else to help her. Another employee pulled up the information finally. I paid with Kohls cash & should have received that amount back. She insisted that the dollar amount was 0, so I wasn't due anything back. After I (the customer) explained how the return credit works in this situation, I was able to get my Kohls cash back. I have shopped at the Eagan location recently & have not experienced this level of service. This tells me that the onboarding of employees is not at the level that it should be. read more

My friend and I joke that - "hey there's a sale at Kohl's" - but seriously everything at Kohl's is always on sale! If you sign up for Kohl's Rewards it seems there is always a coupon queued up in the Kohl's app or a postcard in your USPS mailbox. I've spent many hundreds of dollars here from clothing to housewares. I don't even want to imagine what that total is. I find the Apple Valley store cleaner and organized well than some of the Kohl's I've gone in. My only complaint would be that at times racks are so full or close to each other that an able-body person has troubles maneuvering through the aisles I can't imagine what it's like for anyone with accessibility issues. Anyway I found myself here on Thursday evening for a pickup. My first time ordering through the app a product that wasn't in store. No shipping costs, pay through the app, notifications for pickup, & wallah walk in and they have a line for returns and one for online pickup- scan your phone, show your ID and you're on your way. The longest part was waiting for them to find my item in the back room - maybe 5 minutes? read more

I want to like shopping at Kohl's, but my experiences are consistently disappointing. The merchandise is disorganized and frequently found on the floor. There is never enough staff and if you can find someone they can rarely help you find what you're looking for. The final disappointment is the check out process which involves long lines and slow point of sale systems. read more

The selection seems to get worse as their prices seem to go up. A lot of the 'promotions' are gimmicks, and end up paying more than the competition. Seems to be mind games with the promotions. The staff is super nice. It's too bad I can't find any shorts for my son, when it's spring time coming into summer. Their selection is horrible. read more

I placed an order online and did curbside pick up at the Apple valley location. The workers that are outside are slow and do not get to cars very fast to even ask for their barcode to find their order. I'm assuming inside this part is very unorganized. They had said my order must have been at another store, but I called the customer service desk and they reassured me that my order was there. They were very helpful but the boy running the stuff out isn't trying to help everyone and ignores people that get out of their car to ask questions about their order. We have been here now for 50 minutes and still have not received our order of ONE thing that they apparently found. It's great people watching though, I've seen 3 Karen's so far so overall it's pretty entertaining. read more

I bought a bracelet from this Kohl's location, but when I got home I realized the elastic band inside was very thin in one spot, and if it broke, the bracelet couldn't be worn, so I brought it back. I waited in line for 10 minutes, only to be told jewelry has to be returned at the jewelry department. However, I could not find any employees there. One of the cashiers told me she'd send someone over there right away, but after 10 minutes of waiting, I returned to the customer service/returns area and asked if they would please give me my refund here, having already waited 20 minutes. The employee acted like she was doing me this huge favor, and felt it was necessary to remind me that, in the future, jewelry has to be returned to the jewelry department. read more

This department store has some horrible customer service. I had went in with a friend and we purchased socks we stood in like which wasn't a big deal but when we got to the counter the woman did not say hello or ask if we found everything alright I had to say hello to her. She then took our socks and rung them up gave us the total and we paid with a gift card, she seemed annoyed that we had the gift card. After the transaction was complete she slid the bag and that was that. Not very pleased. read more

Shopped at Kohl's yesterday. Boxes all over the floor in every department. They unload trucks and put boxes in any place they can find! I couldn't even get to the socks that I came into store to buy! The shoe department never has signing correct and very dirty. read more

Having 2 kids that are constantly growing, I absolutely love Kohl's. I appreciate the opportunity to get them decent clothing that will last longer than just one season, for a reasonable price. I also appreciate that I don't have to carry my Kohl's card with as the store can easily do a card look up at the point of sale... this is so convenient as I hate carrying all of those store private label credit cards around with me. read more

Would give negative 5 stars if I could. Treats employees like garbage, only cares about getting credits for the store instead of caring about the employees. They treated me like i wasn't worthy of shopping there and told me to leave if I wasn't going to buy anything. Keep in mind I was still looking for something to buy, would not recommend going to this store. Called an employee a few minutes early from there break which an employer can't do to an employee. The clocks dont lie, extremely unsatisfied with this store. The one younger cashier was the only nice one besides one or two managers. Minnie was the employee who called her off break and Minnie is clearly not management and doesn't have the power to do that to any employee. read more

I have shopped Kohl's for many years clothes small appliances etc. but I ordered a chaise lounge chair. And when it arrived (wed) it was low quality construction and the bolts do not fit could put. The chair together and there was damage to the structure. Piece of crap. I could started return pick up process was told 48 hours box is 6foot x 4foot size of refrigerator. Blocking my entry, bathroom and kitchen. I am disabled. 48 hours to long. I wait (fri) nothing I called fri,sat,&mon.... nothing but the same old lip service, we will pick it up ASAP will expedite, put a rush blah blah blah week later still blocking my bathroom. I'm trapped in my apartment throwing my human waste out my apartment window like it is Victorian England have not showered in a week! I call screaming crying for them to pick up this giant box of crap chair and get it out of my way .. he tells me over and over to be patient! I'm dirty and angry and in desperate need of shower and can't get to my appointments at veterans hospital cause I can't get out the door a 6x4 foot box is blocking my way out. Hope there is no fire. I've been a fan of Kohls for many years; they carry many stylish and affordable lines of clothes as well as one of the few department stores where I can still find my favorite brand of jeans. I've been rather disappointed by the Apple Valley store. The racks seem packed in tighter than most Kohls so I can't fit a cart between them without knocking things off. I don't go terribly often, but when I do it seems like the store is always in need of organizing. I went two days ago on President's Day (which I realize is a shopping holiday); there were a fair amount of people in the store, but it wasn't terribly busy. However, from the way the store looked one would have sworn it was Black Friday. Clothes were falling off of racks and lying on the floor. The discard racks in the women's dressing rooms were packed full so people started leaving clothes they didn't want in the rooms and many had at least a dozen articles hanging and lying around the room. No one was cleaning the rooms because people either were setting up Easter displays or getting called to other areas of the store to assist customers. I'd like to say this was a one day occurrence, but from talking to other parents, Sundays are often short staffed as well and similar things happen. read more

Wanted to purchase a Christmas present for my college age son and noticed that I could get a 25% discount if I opened up a Kohls charge card account. Thought that was a pretty good deal so I went ahead and got the account setup and went to make my purchase. Turns out that the $100 order I was trying to purchase included some "exclusive items" and the promised discount could not be applied to my order. Now my credit has a hard inquiry that affects my credit for a card that I will not use out of principal. I could understand and accept the situation if the item page had a specific notice that this item is not available for discounts but it definitely did not not have that type of notice. We placed an order online for in-store pick-up on 11/11/19. We were physically in-store when we placed the order and actually walked the items we order to the in-store pick-up counter. We were unaware that it takes an hour to process and that we couldn't get the items yet. This was no problem at all. Since we had the items in hand, we left them with the gal at the counter so they didn't have to send someone out to find the items. I received an email saying the order was confirmed. On Thursday 11/14/19 my wife went into the store to pick up the items. At the counter, she was given one item. Upon asking about the other item, the woman behind the counter replied "Oh that was cancelled." We never received an email that it was cancelled so my wife let her know that and showed her the email. She then replied saying, "Nope it was cancelled, you received an email and your money was refunded." Although the money was refunded, we never received any communication about the cancelled item and had no clue it was cancelled until 11/14. This is super frustrating as the items purchased were gifts for my mother-in-law and now we don't have her other gift. Extremely poor customer service, communication and it didn't help that the Kohl's representative was rude. read more

I have always loved to shop Kohl's in Apple Valleywith their specials and coupons. I have spent LOTS of money there over many many years as a satisfied customer. But within the last couple months Kohl's has changed. There size selection in women's clothes and shoes is very slim. The common sizes are never on the rack. The huge stocking bins are in between the main isles and it's very hard to get around. They never used to have all the clothing to be hung in the departments smashed on racks in the isles. It makes it look very junky, it's hard to get around them and people are shopping off those racks since they aren't being placed in the proper departments. I really think they should hire a few people to do re-stocking after the store closes or before it opens. Then the store would go back to being the clean and neat store that it once was. I LOVE Kohls, spent enough to earn the higher tiered Kohls card every year. However, this store's management is not pleasant or even polite. If I have to visit a store, I now will bypass this store for one further out because I prefer not to ever have the need to interact with the management. read more

i love this location! they always bend over backwards to help. i had a situation where it had just turned into a mess from another location. they helped me sort it out and one of the managers was able to give me advice on how to resolve my impossible situation. and they have an awesome lady that is usually at the jewlery counter! read more
