I've been a patient in the past and had great service from the PT assistant/students. Unfortunately, my last experience is the complete opposite. I am a patient and have re-established care and am undergoing treatment with Koh, I arrived at my scheduled appointment and that's when they informed me that they will no longer be seeing me due to staffing shortages. That is completely unacceptable. When a medical provider accepts a patient, establishes care and begins treatment with them they should not drop the patient based on their insurance. The most uncomfortable part of the experience was that there was no compassion by the front office, lady, especially after pleading with her that I am in pain even to drive to this location, her repeated responses were other providers offices that were significantly further, she wasn't even listening to my needs and pain levels as a patient. It's very sad that compassion in healthcare just doesn't exist anymore, we're all just a number with whose insurance pays the highest gets the service. read more

I had my collarbone surgery in March, Dr. Koh is my third PT since the surgery. The previous two PT were nice but Dr. Koh's knowledge, skill and myofascial release is another level. I couldn't raise my left arm high when going for the first treatment, but came out with both arms almost the same height raised. I was amazed how effective Koh's technique! Myofascial is a painful treatment to me because I didn't know this type of technique existed. It had been five months passed since my surgery and my muscles and fascial adhesions were in pretty bad condition. I am glad I finally found Dr Koh and my condition is better every week. Dr Koh only books his time as a "concierge medical" appointment which means you basically have to "subscribe" for a month, pay a flat fee and hope you can make all the appointments. He doesn't accept insurance and you have to pay out of pocket to see him. Read your contract carefully because they charge a $100 cancellation fee if you cancel within 24 hours, which seems overly punitive to me because under this agreement you've already paid for X number of sessions within a month whether you're able to attend them all or not. You read that right: you'll also get charged an additional $100 on top of the appointment that you've essentially already paid for and had to miss, which is what happened to me after faithfully attending all my appointments that month, I had to cancel a few hours ahead of my last appointment. In terms of care, his myofascial release technique hurts a heck of a lot and I'm not sure I got any real benefit out of it. read more

KOH Physical Therapy Lab can be a helpful place for some. Unfortunately, my experience on PT for pelvic floor therapy and a leg injury over the last six months has made me feel that this is not the right fit for everyone. Here are some categories of experiences that made me come to this conclusion after over half a year with them. Service - it was often difficult to get anyone to answer phone calls. Much of logistics was coordinated by text. Sometimes this worked and other times, it felt like text was used to avoid more tedious tasks. Some admin, like Arianna, who recently left, were wonderful when I could catch them. Others suffered from poor communication skills. Insurance - KOH does accept many PPOs, which is great. However, with Anthem, they would suddenly cancel appointments based on insurance feedback with little to no notice (less than 24 hours once). When I hit an insurance issue, it took over 1.5 months for their team to try to start addressing the insurance issue. They promised to contact my insurance for an appeal, and when I called the insurance 6 weeks later, I was told Koh's office had never even contacted them to coordinate or deal with the issue. This was unlike past experiences at other medical offices and was truly upsetting as someone who was suffering while waiting for insurance to clear. The whole process was so difficult that I gave up on getting treatment for my pelvic floor. Treatment structure - actual treatment is only about 10-15 minutes most sessions, and you pay comparably to sessions that last 30-60 minutes elsewhere. Sometimes half the treatment would be a massage gun. I never received concrete plans on progression, and I was sometimes given homework to do exercises involving an activity that I'd already explained I struggle with and causes me pain - not to challenge me but it seems sometimes because they forgot. Physical Therapists - he couple of times I got to see Dr. Koh, he was very professional and knowledgeable. Treatment can be very painful, but he explains everything well. Once I had my leg injury, I was assigned to another PT and a couple extra people on rotation. One guy on rotation was really great (Lionel). I always came away feeling a bit improved after seeing him. My main PT was nice but I did not feel I progressed as I would have liked to and did not have a good sense of the "plan" after 3 months with him. I also had an unpleasant interaction when I arrived 10-12 minutes late due to a work emergency after driving 30+ minutes in traffic. They wanted to still charge me $80 and refused to treat me even for the 10-15 minutes remaining. The PT let me know he needs to prioritize the patients that arrive on time. Fair enough, but his tone and manner was that I was "bad" and there was no consideration for the reason or that I regularly have been driving an hour roundtrip just to see them. So overall, Dr. Koh is likely as amazing as many say he is. However, treatment time is extremely limited, seeing him directly is extremely expensive or challenging due to his schedule, his associates are not consistent in treatment and plan, and customer service as well as support on insurance and the fun logistics of it all has been really unfortunate. Also, there is little to no consideration on cancellation fees as well as the late fee I did not realize existed - but I'm sure for those happy enough with treatment, they will not mind. Wishing all those needing healing the best experience. And I hope that some of these paint points are considered by Dr. Koh and his team because I know their main goal is to help patients recover from pain. read more

I've been struggling with a frozen shoulder for over a year. I'm writing this review more in regard to the continuing education side business they use called AQuire. I registered to take a CEU course with them, and prior to attending their in-person session in April 2026 they were active in responding through email and their Instagram business messaging regarding some scheduling technicalities. After taking the in-person course I completed and passed the online portion of the course in order to receive my certificate of completion, however an error occurred and I could not download the certificate and then I was unable to login to their platform to even access my online profile. I emailed them multiple times through email, their Instragam business messaging, and called them as well regarding my issue but they completely ignored all my attempts at contacting them. I needed the certificate in order to get reimbursed through my work but seeing as they did not fulfill their end on giving me my certificate, I can't help but feel scammed by this business and am currently not recommending anyone to use their AQuire continuing education services. read more

Dr. Koh was recommended to me by another PT. I figured when people in the field tell you he is the best, you should listen. I came to him with back pain and he improved my mobility, strength, and addressed the pain. I have been going to Koh Therapy for almost a year now, and I can honestly say it is the best physical therapy experience I've ever had. I've seen many PTs in the past, but none have matched the level of care, attention and results I've gotten here. I initially saw Dr. Koh for some pelvic pain and weakness, and he helped improve my symptoms tremendously. He is not only skilled but also incredibly kind, thoughtful and genuinely invested in his patients' progress. Even though I no longer see him regularly, he still checks in on me when I'm at the clinic, which really shows how much he cares. For most of the year, I've worked closely with Ren and he's helped me through so much-herniated disc, diastases recti, knee pain, shoulder pain and wrist pain. He takes the time to really listen, explains everything clearly and never rushes my appointments. I also appreciate that he is very mindful of my pain tolerance and adjusts accordingly. It's clear he truly cares about his patients' well-being. Thanks to him, most of my pain has significantly improved which is amazing! I can't imagine going anywhere else. Dr. Koh is a gifted physical therapist. But unless you are an athlete or somebody important, you will likely be seen after intake by somebody fresh out of PT school as he expands his business. To their credit, Dr. Koh has an eye for hiring PTs with high EQ. I can't imagine being a PT and not being good at small talk. Shout out to Justin for his most excellent bedside manner. Likewise, the front desk staff are pleasant and professional. Some noteworthy quirks about this place: - They schedule 20 minute sessions, compared to the standard 45-60 mins - KOH's treatment philosophy focuses a lot, maybe too much, on old-school manual therapy (hands-on techniques). I was referred to Koh Physical Therapy by my doctor for treatment of ruptured tendons and an avulsion fracture in my foot and ankle. The first visit was very short, but I felt the therapist did a good job of explaining what the treatment was going to be. My 2nd and 3rd visits were done by a student, with no supervision. She used some sort of metal tool that she gouged into my flesh as hard as she possibly could and raked it along my tendons, which almost had me in tears. It was all I could do to not jump off the table. She did this for 15 minutes and then said, "Ok we'll see you next week". Huh? I've been in PT at least 10 other times for various injuries and other issues, and I never experienced anything even close to that before. I said, "that's it?" She said yes, and that I should roll my foot on a tennis ball when I get home. That's it. That was the full extent of my Physical Therapy visits. No working my ankle, no stretching, no massaging. I was in and out in 20 minutes both times. I asked why the visits were so short, and she said that that was all she needed to do for me. Are you kidding me? I have a serious injury which happened to me 5 months ago and have been in a boot and then a brace the whole time. I was so sore and bruised after I left there I could barely walk. I went back to my podiatrist the next day and told him about what had happened. He was dumbfounded, and said he had never heard of that sort of treatment before. He told me that I was absolutely not to go back there ever again. He was horrified. He immediately found me another PT clinic to go to. It's more than twice as far away as Koh, but will be totally worth it. So if you decide to go there, make sure you get an actual therapist to do your treatments. Make sure they give you the full 45-60 minutes that they're billing your insurance for, and don't let them use some funky torture tool on you without doing any other treatments. In other words, I wouldn't go there. I'd find another place that's professional and uses actual therapists. read more

Being new to any PT therapy I had my doubts. Several close friends and even some of my colleagues recommended Koh PTLab. Dr. Koh and team have restored my mobility in my wrists, elbow and shoulders. My wrists feel like I am back in high school. They started with a questionnaire about pain points which led to the first visit evaluation. I learned about how some injuries and scar tissue have limited some of my mobility. It included a full work up of injury locations and an evaluation of muscles and tendons that were connected to the area. Staff was incredible, any questions about billing and even their concierge services were explained to me in detail. I been coming to this place off and on for about 12 years. It's been years since I've been back but I recently started going back because of a pinch nerve in my neck. I'd say it's been at least 3-4 months that I've been receiving therapy. The therapist I been working with is amazing. To bad the owners wife who makes all financial decisions made me feel otherwise on what really is importante to this company. I guess In the contract if u no show or don't cancel 24 hours in advance u get charged 80 dollars. I had no idea of the charge. Obviously it's my fault for not reading the contract but dam 80 bucks? Anyways, I no showed once and canceled twice a few hours before my appointments because my son was sick. I was charged in total 240 dollars lol and I had no idea because they didn't notify me of the charges. When speaking to the owners wife I pleaded with her that I couldn't afford That hit and to please help me and reverse at least two of the charges. She did one and told me she needed to check numbers before she could reverse the other two. Three weeks went by and I asked her again and told me no she couldn't do it. Basically she was whiling to lose a patient even tho I had 9 more sessions scheduled and even more to come. Can't believe how money hungry one can be. In front of ur face she pretends to be a sweetheart but she's a fake. Anyways, never going back to that place again! read more

Dr. Lee is a literal lifesaver. I have a bulging disc at L4-L5 and a herniated disc at L5-S1--a SEVERE herniation across the whole backside of my disc that led one orthopedic surgeon to say "get surgery" right off the bat. When I met that surgeon, I wasn't able to go grocery shopping, stand for more than 5 minutes to do dishes, or walk outside with my son due to severe sciatic pain. I was a limping mess. I went to another surgeon for a 2nd opinion and he was more conservative. He recommended PT, an epidural steroid injection, muscle relaxers, 1000 mg of naproxen daily (instead of the 3200 mg of ibuprofen I was taking), and a back brace. I ended up canceling the steroid injection because Dr. Lee and I got my pain to a much lower level in just 2 weeks. And now that we've been doing spinal decompression exercises and core strengthening for about 5 weeks, I'm at 500 mg naproxen ~every 36 hours, and only because of some lingering calf pain that I could probably power through haha. I NEVER thought I would get to this point. I assumed I'd be recovering from a discectomy mid-December, but here I am, walking around the mall/grocery store/neighborhood, cleaning the house, playing with my son, and doing Pilates without severe sciatic pain. I'm not entirely out of the woods yet, but I am so close. Next goal: no pain meds at all read more

Stay away if your looking for Therapy! They only provide 10 mins or less of therapy and charge you for the entire hour. I went for my first session and after 10 mins of evaluation and 10 mins of therapy, I was told my session was over. I was assured during the initial evaluation I would get at least 40 min sessions and that didn't happen! I escalated to front desk (Erick and may) and was told that Alice or Lisa (supervisors) would get back to me and no one got back to me. My advice - stay away from this place! read more

My daughter plays indoor and beach volleyball spending 6-7 days training on the court and the sand. She sacrificed her body to play both sports at the expense of her back. She was at the point that every time she jumped, she could feel pain. She went to see Dr. Koh who patiently gave her an evaluation on what was leading to her pain. Literally from the tip of her head to the toes on her feet, she could feel pain. From that first visit, Dr. Koh brought relief and hope to my daughter. He found the source of her pain and knew the tools that were needed to help her get better. She spent 4 weeks going to PT to get back to 100% to play in her championship season of beach volleyball which had her playing almost every single day pain free! Both Dr. Koh and Dr. Lee resolved the issue for my daughter and gave her helpful and healthy life-long tools to be more proactive as an athlete. I highly recommend Koh Physical Therapy. I really enjoy going to KOH pt. Therapists Shiva and Tyler are wonderful and always listen to what I have to say. Ive been to many PT offices and my favorite thing about this place is how they incorporate both physical therapy exercises/ stretching with manual muscle manipulation techniques. Alot of places just work with you a little and give you exercises to do at home but I really feel that they go the extra mile with doing that AND scraping/massage (massage is not for relaxation) to help loosen and alleviate some immediate pain and tightness. I've been remiss in writing about this life changing experience and epiphany with Dr. Koh and KOH Physical Therapy Lab. Aside from the phenomenal physiological results and benefits, it's been an eye opening paradigm shift in my perception of physical therapy. My son is an elite prep athlete who attends a perennially top ranked preparatory school that touts a hockey program of excellence, currently ranked number one in the country. Like many hockey players, he wore his injuries, bumps and bruises like badges of honor for the first few years in the program. But after the injuries became nagging, we decided to try physical therapy and Dr. Koh's reputation was second to none. There is a reason he has professional top tier athletes as patients and is affiliated with our beloved TEAM USA athletes. After just one session, my son and I left totally stunned and dumbfounded at the remarkable, and I mean remarkable, change in his pain and mobility. Without sounding like a late night informercial, it was an absolute game changer. In a one hour session, my son's soreness and tenderness went away in a few days and the nagging injuries from skating and shooting were gone. He remarked how his shots felt stronger and mobility on the ice improved. The facilities are immaculate and stocked with state of art equipment. On a subsequent visit, Dr. Koh used a new ultrasonic machine he acquired from Europe to destroy scar tissue on my son's knee. The scar tissue formed what looked like a cyst on his knee and had been there over a year. I'm telling you it was gone by the end of the session. It was like voodoo magic, but all based on modern day medicine. The staff is professional and congenial to a fault. We absolutely love interacting with them, and they will spare no expense in courtesy and time to make your session as accommodating and comfortable as possible. Let me be extremely Frank, and at the risk of hyperbole, compare what a session with Dr. Koh is like. Imagine receiving financial mentoring from Warren Buffet, getting singing lessons from Pavarotti or Adele, baking lessons from Christini Tosi, and basketball training from the Black Mamba. You are getting the same level of expertise and outlier knowledge with Dr. Koh the PHYSICAL THERAPY WHISPERER. Why live in pain or immobility?
