I signed up for their bimonthly pest maintenance program as I have lots of ants, spiders, wasps, etc. living up here in the mountains. I had this service for years. the same guy came each time quarterly and did everything asked. but for the last two years it's been different people coming to do the service who do as little as possible and say, oh we don't do this and we don't do that. I was never given anything in writing saying that there were new limitations. The day after the service was done two weeks ago, I found a huge spider and a scorpion in the area they were supposed to spray. When I requested that they come back and spray that area, they canceled the service. read more

The old lady on the phone was so rude to Me when I needed to reschedule I have a disability which gives me severe anxiety so I get really nervous when I have to leave the house and a condition where I get really hot more so than "normal" and she screamed at me telling me it's not hot very unprofessional and left me in tears. read more

The office staff are friendly and professional. I expressed my concern about having poisons sprayed around my flower gardens. However, recent ant invasion in our home prompted me to call them. My family member had a very bad experience with Charlene the office person at Koby Pest Control. She quoted my family member on the phone that the service was going to be $200.00 and then when the technician Kenny came, he said it was going to be $275.00. My family member called and tried to explain to Charlene that was not the price she quoted her on the phone. Charlene denied what she quoted me. Very bad customer service. Amazing people and amazing service! Never had pest control like this ever before, took care of ant and all spiders and my rodents are all taken care of, they are extremely professional and a family owned, family run place. I recommend them to everyone, I also read a couple other reviews and yes thats what a quote is...a quote, the job here was more than I could explain so I understood they needed to raise me only $25 on my quote, people need to remember the person on the phone can't see the job that needs to he done, its the professional technician that will know exactly the problem! read more

It's been a while, but I thought a follow up was necessary. The weekend Koby Pest Control left the trap, a squirrel was caught (duh.) One squirrel in one trap, while the others lived happily in our attic. We called to tell let them know about the caught squirrel, but no one at the office answered (likely because it was the weekend. Which made little sense to me - what were we supposed to do with the squirrel?) We left a message. Then we were left with a squirrel in a box that we were apparently just supposed to let sit in there until the weekend was over. We're not lousy people, so we felt bad and finally let the squirrel loose on Monday, since no one had gotten back to us. They eventually did get back to us that same day, but we had already set the squirrel free (in a field a few miles away) so we told them to just pick up the traps and be done with it. He was very quick to arrive this time. I was asked if any squirrels were caught and I said explained that we did and that we called and eventually had to let it go since no one got back to us. I was then told "You should have called us - I would have come to pick it up." I responded with, again "I DID call, and left a message. No one picked up or called us back." I got a mild apology, the traps were loaded, and everyone went on their merry way. We later found out that the property manager was told that the guy who picked up the traps set the squirrel free and now the company wanted to be paid for their service. We told the property manager that this was NOT true and that WE had set the squirrel free after no response. The traps and method did absolutely nothing, and the squirrels are still running rampant in the attic to this day (there are more, now.) Not happy to hear that, after everything, the property manager was lied to (or at the very least, the correct information was not properly relayed and the company expected to be paid for doing absolutely nothing.) Future customers beware. I hope Koby Pest Control has learned their lesson. read more

I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone. They have horrible customer service skills, lack professionalism, have poor follow up, and provide incomplete services but still expect to be paid the full amount due. Even though they've dropped the ball several times, I was very patient with them and willing to give them another chance to make things right, however once the woman in the office treated me as if I didn't matter and talked to me in a condescending manner - I was done. Koby Pest Control needs to understand they are not the only pest control company in the area and we live in a very small community, therefore bad news travels fast and a poor reputation will send your business down the drain. In late Aug. 2018, I called Koby to ask them to spray my house every 3 months. However, I was still visited a little over a month later (October 2018) by Bret, who still sprayed my house even though I just had my house sprayed a month or so earlier. At this time, he did an incomplete job by not spraying all structures, nor did he spray the inside of the structures or wipe off the spiderwebs. I called Koby to tell them that they just sprayed month or so earlier, yet they still demanded that I pay the full amount due (which I did). I also asked them to come only when I was home and only once I've talked to them and authorized them to come spray my house. They agreed and said they would note my file. I didn't get another call to schedule an appointment until 4 months later, Feb. 2019. In Feb., the day Bret (the new exterminator since Oct.) wanted to come out to spray would not work with my schedule. Bret then stated he would give me a call back in a few days to reschedule and I never received a call back. Now here in mid-April, 2 months later, and after telling Koby that I did not want anyone showing up at my house unless I speak to them and authorize to come over, I get a knock on my door and standing in front of me was Bret. I was not pleased with this since his visit was unexpected and not authorized, however I thought since he and I was home, let's do this. I proceeded to walk Bret around showing him where I wanted the spider webs cleaned (this should be a standard practice on every visit and not something I should have to point out for them to do). Bret then stated to me that he will have to come back to do the job since he did not have the tool needed to clean the spider webs. I said that was fine and we rescheduled for the following Tues. On the following Tues. it was raining, so I called the office to reschedule my appointment. A woman answered the phone with a very irritated and annoyed tone in her voice (very unprofessional and terrible customer service), she acted and sounded as if I was annoying her by calling. I asked if I could reschedule my appointment since it was raining. The woman abruptly and rudely said for me to hold on, and when she got back on the line she said that Bret would call me back to reschedule. Well, I'm thinking, the problem with that was in my experience Bret doesn't call back to reschedule, so I had little faith that this would happen. So I then asked if I could reschedule with her over the phone. Again, with an annoyed tone to her voice, she said for me to hold on again, which I did. Then once she got back on the line, still with a negative tone in her voice, she again said, "Bret will need to call you to reschedule because we don't know when we are going to be back in your neighborhood again." This is when I had enough of her condescending tone towards me and their overall lack of professionalism, so I told her forget it, that she was rude and Bret doesn't do his right anyway and not to call, I didn't want their service. She hung up on me. Never use Koby Pest control. If there was a 0 star I would give this score to them. The only positive feedback that can be given would be to Greg, the individual exterminator who truly does a great job, has excellent customer service and follow up skills and takes pride in the work he does. It's unfortunate that Koby took Greg off my neighborhood and that the other Koby employees don't follow Greg's lead. read more

One afternoon we noticed some gross bugs flying around our upstairs windows - due to the steep incline on the property these windows are quite high. I was alarmed by these invaders and knew we needed to respond quickly. I called Koby and the person who answered the phone immediately recognized the problem as flying ants and assured me that we weren't the only ones experiencing this kind of event. She was able to send someone out the very next day. The person who came to our house communicated well with us during the day and arrived right on time. As he looked around we mentioned a mother-in-law unit on the property that could also use treatment. Even though that unit wasn't part of our original request, he said he could do it and adjusted the price accordingly (a very reasonable adjustment, btw). This was the first time we had ever called Koby and were impressed with their service from start to finish. We definitely recommend them. read more

I won a free spray treatment at a school fundraiser, they ended up honoring my discount coupon for additional services as well as coming back 3 times to make sure the bugs were wiped out! Hard to love a pest control company, but Mike ( I presume the owner ) came out and did a very thorough inspection and job for a tricky issue, at a very reasonable cost. I had used another service a couple of weeks earlier and had no particular issues with them, but Mike was much more thorough and helpful compared to them, and much more reasonably priced. The stars are for the lovely lady who took my call. A few weeks ago I called to get an estimate for dealing with rodents in an old closed up cabin on my rural property in El Dorado County. The woman I was speaking to turned to ask the owner, who had apparently come into the room and I heard the owner flat out say "we're not doing it we're not doing rodents right now. Too many and we're booked-up." She was pretty terse about it. She didn't even offer to schedule me out a few weeks which I said I was willing to do. I called Koby's to deal with an ant problem at my rental house. They were responsive and the ants are gone. I called them a second time to deal with bats that had made their home in the attic. They put up a cone so the bats could fly out, but not back in. The bats are gone, they screened off the openings so I won't have this problem again. I am happy, my tenants are happy. I have a rental that had a roach infestation about a year ago so I found Koby in the phone book and chose them because they said they would take care of me without a contract. And true to their word they got rid of the problem in two treatments. This year a new tenant next door brought another infestation but my partner called another company that sprayed tree time with no results. They were also very rude and unhelpful. Hi all, I recently contacted Koby Kicks Ants due to a problem with scorpions (yeeeuck) at my 82 year old Mother's new home. I talked to the lady at the office and then immediately got a return call from Mike the owner. Mike quoted me a price and explained what he would do. Well when the appointment time came around he was right on time. Mike went above and beyond what he said he would do. I am so impressed!! He made absolutely sure these little menaces would not be a problem for my Mom. Not only did he kick "ants" on those scorpions...he gave us all piece of mind! Extremely pleased with Koby Pest Control! We had a rodent problem and they came right out when I called. Wow, Greg is super professional and thorough. He checked our entire structure for entry point, checked the attic, and then found the source under the house. He has called weekly and come out to follow up and get rid of our pests!
