The pharmacist is rude, rigid, and seemingly apathetic regarding customer well-being. I was dealing with a coverage issue with our insurance company and asked Koblin's to provide us a short-term 5-pill refill as we handled the coverage for our typical 30 day prescription. This would have allowed me to pay out of pocket for the 5 pills thus avoiding physical withdrawal until we could get insurance to pay for the larger 30 day rx. The pharmacist refused because "breaking the bottle" would make profiting from the remaining pills hard. I understand they run a small business, but his callous approach and delivery were very upsetting as I tried navigating the complex dynamics between doctors and insurance companies while anxious about impending medication withdrawal. read more

I've been going here through years and it's always been top notch. Today however I encountered an EXTREMELY rude pharmacist who refused to give me all of my medications as he stated "I didn't really need them". I got there as they were closing (I've been caring for my elderly, sick mother and don't have a lot of time lately) after I pleaded he gave me ONE of my prescriptions and told me "to come back tomorrow since I don't really need it". Is he my doctor?! No. Just a BS power play move. If he wants to act this way, maybe I suggest he go work at CVS or Walgreens were that kind of behavior is more acceptable. Sadly I'II be finding another local pharmacist who has the ability of compassion, a quality that SHOULD be a given in the healthcare field. read more

The older pharmacist's behavior is concerning given his position. Not only does he lack compassion, he is unnecessarily argumentative and hostile. I was caught off guard when he interrupted my question just to scold me. It was bizarre. I've been coming here for year mostly with straight forward scripts and auto refills. This is the first time I've had to ask for help from this particular pharmacist and I'm definitely not putting myself in that position again. I'll be going elsewhere. read more

I was in the area and my physician had to call in my prescriptions from out of state. The woman behind the counter came to the register, I gave my name and she returned with 2 bottles. I told her, no there was more and some in a box. She turned back to the prescription area and grabbed another 2 bottles, but no box. I asked her about the box and she said that was all there was for me. We went home to my daughters and I opened the package and just as I surmised, one prescription was missing. I phoned my doctor, and I was told that all my meds were called in. I then had to call the pharmacy back and inform them that I was missing one prescription. I told the pharmacist that I asked the woman twice about my meds and she insisted that is all I was to get. The pharmacist checked and located the meds I was missing and said they would have them delivered to my daughters house. I thought that was very kind until I had to wait 5 hours for the delivery. I tipped the driver, but felt like I was not treated well by this pharmacy. read more

THE RUDEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE. I went there after a doctor visit and was not feeling well. I just needed to fill my prescription. THIS PLACE MADE ME FEEL WORSE. I've been a loyal Koblin's customer since I moved to Nyack 16 years ago. They opened up a Walgreens that is very close to my house and therefore more convenient, but I would rather deal with annoying parking in town and get my scripts taken care of at Koblin's. They know me and take good care of me. Service is always friendly. It's nice to see that things haven't changed since Jerry sold it. Ben, the pharmacist, is great. Takes the time to explain things and helps me out when there are insurance snafus. read more

And now, with the vaccine being administered, Jeff, the pharmacist, makes it his business to ensure that his customers are able to be vaccinated. The service is excellent and the pharmacists and staff are the best. Very competent and helpful! Feel very secure with getting the correct prescription in a timely manner. If they don't have what my family needs they get it in quickly for us. Wait time is great also! Finding a parking spot is certainly worth going to Koblins. I had a compound prescription that I needed filled. My doctor was using a pharmacy in NYC & I asked is there a closer pharmacy that I could use. I was extremely happy to be able to get the medication from Koblin's. It's a community pharmacy & you get great service. Everyone that works here is very pleasant. Plus they have delivery service. Koblin's is my go to place for my prescriptions, I love the pharmacists and find them very helpful figuring out insurance and drug interactions. I trust their advice and feel listened to. I think the rest of the staff are competent and usually friendly. I just wish the parking was easier in Nyack- Koblin's is in the busiest part of town, I do circle the blocks looking for a spot but I usually just try to go at less busy hours. read more
