Improperly installed piers, house much worse than at start. When contacted multiple times, told we…read morehad "old house" and shouldn't expect better. Stairs suddenly started creaking. Couldn't shut exterior door or open without difficulty. Broke threshold and torqued door frame. Even twisted deadbolt lock. Did not respond to letter, phone calls or emails requesting issue addressed. From start problems, settling poor dirt work, sunken kn, did not fill holes properly. They did not want to return. Three no call/no show . We eventually hired dry basement who sent a structural engineer out. Showed our hallway 1.5" out of level, plus new cracks in walls etc. Engineer recommended totally different style of pier, plus footing etc. Ended up done level and correctly. Stsirs silent. And! Exterior door opens and shuts smoothly... in our "old house."

I was met at the property by a gentleman named "Ron". Here is my problem with Pro Foundation: They sent out the same "salesman" from (6) months previous. He told me (then) that he had an estimate for me, and mentioned no prohibition of the job, the job site, etc. Although he had to call me back TWICE for my email address, I still did not get the estimate. When I asked around this year for a company that does this kind of work, even other companies referred me back to PFT. Apparently they specialize in this kind of project. Ok, fair enough. I called them back last week, and a new appointment was set up for 8:30 - 9:00 this morning." Ron" called me at 8:20, asking if he had the correct address, and that he had knocked on the door of the correct house, "and some old lady" told him that she "didn't know anything about it." The "old lady" is my mother, also known as the paying client. Once he realized that he had committed an indiscretion with his comment, he (very noticeably) back tracked and said: "We can't do this job. The street is too busy for the big truck." No mention was made 6 months previous of the street creating undo restriction, etc. I am glad for this company that they have garnered the reputation that they have. It is a reputation that can't possibly have anything to do with the public relations skills of "Ron". Suggestion: Request ANYONE other than this boorish clod when asking for an estimate. As of a day after a request for management to return a call, I have not been contacted by any representative of this company. I stated clearly to the receptionist that took my call, that I needed to discuss a problem with an employee, and was assured that someone would "be back with you (me), today." . If I should ever be contacted by this company, I will make an update, in an effort to be fair in my assessment.
