Brickworx repaired the brick portion of my house. It was most tick point maintenance. The owner provided a very reasonable estimate and performed the work himself. The work looks great. In particular, he took the time to ensure the masonry was the same shade as the existing masonry. I was unable to be there when he was doing the work. Haven't been able to get anyone to come out and repair my outdoor fireplace . Had calls into 4 different businesses and nobody would give me the time of day . I called this company and they called me back within 24hrs and said they could come right out . They showed up when they said and made the repair ! They did a great job and did it correctly no shortcuts . All anyone can ask for nowadays is someone to show up . Priced very competitive also ! Will use again and refer them also! read more

Brickworx is nothing but an ex-con, Stuart Ostrom, running a scam. I contracted with them for foundation, chimney and pave stone patio repair. After several delays Stuart and his crew (his wife and a teen boy) showed up for a total of 6 hours on one day and I never saw them again. I would call and he would make promises and excuses but I don't believe he ever intended to complete the work as he had already received $1000 from me up front. When I first met Stuart I felt he seemed professional and knowledgeable so I trusted him. It was a costly mistake for a senior on a fixed income but hopefully this review will keep others from repeating it. read more

Please beware of this individual and his wife. At first, he will appear professional and very knowledgeable. I hired him to repair cracks in my basement, fix my concrete/blocks on my back porch and a few other things. BAIT AND SWITCH ON MATERIAL used for the repairs to the cracks in my basement. On his estimate, he stated he would use Rhino Carbon repair because it was the best and would last the longest. He described it in full and again stated it was the best. It is also one of the most expensive, per Stuart. I paid up front for the materials. I have attached photos of the "repair" he did to one of the many cracks in the basement. I asked him why he didn't use the Rhino Carbon repair and he assured me it was as good as Rhino. This repair work was done in June of this year. You can see the cracks and the separation. It's happening to all the areas he repaired in the basement. Just awful. At minimum, he lacks professionalism and would show up to work at 3pm, 4pm and even as late a 5pm. He demanded payment BEFORE the completion of the work, which includes clean-up, walk through and customer satisfaction. Learn from me. My last interaction with him included telling him I would contact the police if he continued his behaviors. I had to fire him due to his belligerence, never showing up when he said he would, constantly demanding money and clearly, subpar workmanship. He came and picked up his tools and left all his debris in my yard. I paid this man over $6,000.00 for very little work, that was at best, crap. I have now learned to check the courts for any criminal or civil judgements on all contractors. This is very sad but please, learn form me and do not hire this man if it is anything beyond changing a light bulb. read more

I am deeply satisfied with the foundation repair on my house. He used carbon fiber to seal up all of the loose cracks and made sure no birds or rodents can jump into my basement. The speed in which he worked was amazing and his fee was far more affordable than other contractors. read more

I really want to leave no stars! Horrible experience and I should have read the previous review. He showed up and immediately started on our bricksteps and seems to be professional and related how he does a job correctly and he is so knowledable. Once he stated the job went up $250 in price. I stupidly paid him at the end before I saw cracks after he left. He then bid out our fountain pond and started on that. He realized into it he needed another $100 and he changed the color of the pond. He said he would paint the old color and seal it (which according to he the expert it needed) He had every excuse imaginable why he didn't come back and would be coming out but never show. He is a liar and a cheat and should not ever he used!!!! read more

We had trouble hooking up but we finally did.He and his wife did a great job.I had the logs not set right and he even set them the right way.He even gave me a discount on the job cause it took a while to get him out here.I would strongly recommend him to do a chimney again. Stuart states that Brickworx was built on family values and principles. Those must be pretty low. If you deal with Stuart make sure you have a written contract and hold a very significant sum of money until the work is completely done. I contacted Stuart for a brick porch repair on the recommendation of a friend. He came late that same day, quoted a price and said he could start right then. I should have asked for a written contract but the opportunity to actually get the work done right away clouded my judgement. Stuart said he was finished except for a short, simple acid wash to clean the brick surfaces. He told me he would be back to do that in a week after the concrete set up and asked for payment. I foolishly did not check the work carefully and went ahead and paid him the complete amount. He did not do all the agreed to work. He has not come back to complete the missing work or do the acid wash. He has blocked calls and texts on my phone. He doesn't respond to email. When I did manage to contact Stuart through another phone he promised to be out the next day but never showed up. Again, be very cautious in dealing with Stuart and Brickworx. Make sure you get a written contract and hold a large part of the agreed price until the work is truly finished. read more
