Kalbi and bimbimbap with banchan
Elizabeth W.

Food was amazing and authentic. You know it's good when other Koreans are eating there! Atmosphere needs a little boost, but otherwise everything was great. Service was fast and friendly!

Just come here bruh, don't even question it. I came solo and the owner kept giving me banchan with my Sundaeguk till I full. I should've asked for non-spicy ngl, cause I only finished a second round of all the banchan. Spicy food just makes me full too quick. Very chill inside and if you plan on eating something spicy, sit at a table with a fan directly on top.

1st time everything was delicious. Tasted very authentic and fresh even the sides. The owners were sweet and the place was very quaint. We will definitely be going back again!

Small family run restaurant with an extensive menu. Staff will explain items that one may not be familiar with. Nothing fancy about this place but great food. No alcohol is available so bring your own.

I have been going to Koba Woo for decades. My mom has a couple of places she will go to and this is on her top list. We mainly order the: galbi (Korean BBQ ribs), spicy pork BBQ and occasionally a spicy soup. Today, we ordered the spicy BBQ pork, mackerel and spicy squid stir fry. The food here is on the pricier side compared to other Korean restaurants in town. They definitely don't give small portions. I really like their meat the most. So good! Wrap it in lettuce and add the bean dip with a Jalapeño slice. The side dishes were fresh and tasty. The stand out items in today's side dishes were the cucumber kimchi, kimchi, radish kimchi and bean sprouts. The Stir fried squid wasn't bad, but I have had better elsewhere. The spicy BBQ pork was good as expected. That's one thing I have counted on, that the consistency hasn't changed here at all. The side dishes are seasonal and change all the time. The service is awesome here. She was able to keep up with our side dishes (banchan) refills. Try the barley tea here. It's a cold tea and very refreshing from this heat.

Yookgaejang spicy brisket soup

Good traditional korean food in a classic diner setting. Most korean restaurants in this area are usually fusion or something not traditional. The yookgaejang (spicy brisket soup) is exactly what it should be, with tender brisket, sprouts, leeks, bracken, egg, and glass noodles. great when its raining or in colder weather. The banchan (sides) had a nice homemade quality to them. After I got my food the table next to me started grilling pork belly and it gets pretty smokey in here. prepare to reek of bbq if thats what you're having. I mean its a great smell just saying mebe don't wear anything fancy lol.

Bibimbap I mixed up a bit. Sauce was a bit spicy but perfectly so. I loved the lettuce with it.

First time here and it was absolutely delicious. I had the bibimbap and the spicy rice cake. It was really good. Bibimbap was really refreshing and flavorful and the spicy rice cake was so good and comforting. It was my first time having fish cake and it was awesome. So glad I visited and will be coming back. Staff seemed very sweet as well. If you haven't been and enjoy Korean food definitely give it a try.

Beef Bulgogi with banchan
Bbq R.

This is the most authentic Korean restaurant I have set foot in since stationed in South Korea. The beef bulgogi with banchan was the most authentic I have had since living and eating in S. Korea. I have been searching for a place like this for a while now and I have found my go to place to eat authentic Korean food. Don't expect much for looks but do enjoy what they prepare for you. This place is definitely worth trying.

Chicken wings, banchan & rice togo!!

Not sure if the wings are even on the menu but my moms calls in a order every time I come to visit her! It takes a while to prepare the dish so we always call ahead a good 30-40 minutes. Best wings ever!!!

Ask the Community - Koba Woo Restaurant

What are the banchan that come with it?

kimchee, daikan kimchee, some sort of salted tiny fish, pickled cucumber, bean sprouts, and a few others I can't remember the name of. I could remember them from my time in Korea, but don't know what they're called.

We visited on Halloween, and were greeted by the spooky decor, with cobwebs and skeletons adding an eerie feel to the restaurant. We were immediately greeted and seated, and were excited to dig in. Our food came to us quickly, and we quickly got to cooking our meats. Our server Daley did a great job with helping us integrate vegetables into our experience, advising us to use sesame oil and mushrooms to enhance the spicy pork bulgolgi. The food came out great, and the spice levels were done perfectly! Unfortunately, the heating component was not operational in the buffet, and we were notified that we could only have the fried food if we paid an extra charge. Understandable as the food wouldn't stay warm, I was just sad to not have any crab rangoons. Kpot always does a good job with service and ambiance, and there should never be a question regarding the freshness or seasoning quality of their food. Would definitely come again!

I ordered three different kinds of K-Dog with all filling premium sausage with cheese. I'm ordering take out and sharing them with my parents. I also ordered two avocado smoothies for parents ( they like it chunky) and I got a chocolate milk tea. All drinks added regular boba with a 50 cent charge each if adding boba. I was almost going to buy Taiyaki but it was adding up so next time. It was getting costly. I'm a bit disappointed that they don't have the standard milk tea flavor that I'm use to in California. I guess it's different here in Killeen Texas. Ok we see how this all tastes. I'm gonna taste all the K-Dogs and have my parents take after I taste. I can't eat all this alone. Reviews! lol. So far I tasted the Original, Potato and Ramyun Corn dogs or KDogs. They all tasted the same except exterior have their distinct flavors. All tasted good. The Avocado smoothie were chunky but my parents were hoping Avocado chunks and my chocolate milk tea was ok and chocolatey. I'm not use to it but it's acceptable. I'll go back to try their Taiyaki next time.

The ambiance gives, "order your food -get your food and enjoy it at your home" lol I wish their doors were open so you could seat inside and eat the food but I think Covid-19 did a number on places here in Killeen, because a lot of places will have ample space for dining in but have it closed off and I can't blame them. The turn around rate for businesses out here opening and closing just as fast is crazy. The place I normally go…read moreto get this is at lunch on Fort Hood right off of TJ Mills next to the gas station and AAFES shoppette. They serve beef and spicy pork bulgogi, chicken bulgogi used to be an option but is not anymore (hope they bring it back!) They have lunch sizes (perfect for one) and dinner sizes (that can feed at at the very minimum two people, or eat as two meals for one). Either way, you won't regret either portion because one portion just isn't enough! What's even better is they all come with kimchi: cucumber or traditional cabbage. BOTH very scrumptious, cucumber kimchi isn't as spicy, only because cabbage kimchi is thinner and soaks up more of that spicy kick. Personally, I'd get the cabbage with the beef bulgogi and cucumber with the pork bulgogi since the beef is sweet and pork is spicy. When I got brave enough, I tried the bulgogi fries, which you can see has more photos than the delicious spicy pork. Not only is this fish so beautiful to look at, the taste is OUT OF THIS WORLD DELICIOUS! I'm not a huge fan of beef bulgogi, I prefer chicken and pork but WOW. These bulgogi fries are a GAME CHANGER.
