I went to the Santa Clara show. 75 miles each way for me. 10 bucks to get in. 10 bucks generally is the price for a giant show - hundred to two-hundred tables. You're usually going to spend some time there. There might have been 16-18 vendors at most. 2 were Pokemon guys. 1 guy was selling shirts. 1 guy was selling rings. 1 guy was all boxing. 1 guy just had a bunch of his cards, I'm assuming he had collected, spewed all over a table. I literally covered the entire "show" in ten minutes. I walk back out and ask the young lady behind the table "is this it? Ten bucks for this?" I thought for sure there had to be another room. She says "yes" and is turning her head away from me before she finishes the word with a "We got our ten bucks, keep moving" attitude. Ten bucks for that? About a dollar a minute. I've never been to a show in my life that I didn't walk away with something. I've been going to shows for decades and have never seen a show that charged 10 bucks for around 18 vendors, many who weren't even sports. This is the biggest absolute rip off I've ever encountered in sports card shows. If it had been 100% sports guys and it was a dollar it would have been overcharging (so many places have small shows like this for free). But ten??? I have 20 other things I can be doing with my Saturday instead of driving 150 miles and paying ten bucks for that ridiculous show. I'm so mad I can't see straight. Of course I emailed Gary Takahashi, the guy who runs this whole scam. Let me know everything I wrote here. No response. It's more important to him to get his ten dollars now and lose all the business in the future from me and the multitude of people I'm going to make sure are aware of this scammer than simply say "I'm sorry, let me refund your entrance fee at least." F this guy and these shows. If you want to get ripped off, go to this scammer's show. There's a couple other great shows in the bay area regularly, email me if you want that info. It was great, it felt like a real site and had pictures and mock videos of what it could potentially look like. He added the capabilities of online chat if someone is visiting your page and also to take payment on there as well. Again this was not real website yet but it sure felt like it. He also also helped us with getting higher on the google search engine which we were like 4 pages back and didn't even know.
