I've been wrong before and I was wrong about teak bali. They agreed to help me and demanded $3500 up front to "draw some pictures" which they did. They never once mentioned a full project price and I was led to believe they were a complete operation. They are not. They draw some pictures and are very quiet about everything having to do with the project as they are located in Indonesia and are not available on the island. Everything had to be done remotely which is excessively clunky. They eventually quoted me a price of over $400/sf. Not economical at all. They asked me to house "their representative" on the island because "it's too far for him to drive". They have a draftsman but they don't have architects so they wanted me to hire another architect to draw up their renderings for permits!! They wanted me to hire out all the preliminary work and had no recommendation for builders!! They literally told me to "send your builder to Indonesia so we can show him how it's put together"!! Unreal. Totally misrepresented their company and what they do. They tell me their "drafting fees" are $100/hour and they feel they've "given me a deal" by "only" charging me $61/hour! I'm sorry. Misrepresentation. 100%
