We're doing research for a home remodel and haven't had a chance to look at flooring in person. While we were visiting Hilo, we stopped in to look at options. The customer service was excellent. The staff was accommodating, answered our questions, showed us samples, and gave us recommendations. Very appreciative of their patience and help! read more

Great place with an amazing selection. The staff - particularly Justin - was very helpful and welcoming-

Great deals if you know what you are looking for for! Definitely knows how to buy good quality materials at a bargain. Had blinds installed recently and house will probably sell a lot faster for slightly more than before. read more

From the second we walked through the door we were greeted by a very helpful staff and the gentleman that was there to work with my fiancé did not try to sell her anything she did not ask for. He actually put the ball in her court and was there for the assist. Now, the installers were up and beyond what I expected, I've contracted remodels for forty years in this state on all islands and I've never seen installers that put such attention to detail. We could not be happier with the end results. B. Winston read more

Incredible & Affordable selection of tile and flooring. Order arrives as expected and on time. Great Service.

Very poor customer service. Went in 3 times to explain what we wanted and they said they'd get back to us. After waiting over a week to hear from them, we followed up a call. We left a message to please call us and let us know what was the outcome regarding stock that she was going to check on. Gal left us a message asking what was our question?! Huh?! She STILL hasn't answered our questions. Unprofessional. Meanwhile we have gotten our carpet installed professionally by another company who were efficient and provided top notch service all around. Exceeded our expectations. So glad we looked elsewhere. DON'T waste your time with Carpet Isle! read more

When it came time to update the kitchen counters I started looking in the Hilo area for tile. Lots of people were happy to install it for me but to save some money I decided to DIY. I found for selection and friendly service Loretta at Carpet Isle had my back. First rate materials and handy advise on installation (Or if you prefer installation is available). Loretta knew exactly what I needed and had suggestions for matching backsplash and trim. I got premium results at a quarter the price of an installed countertop from some other who only sell what they install. read more

worst customer service.....if there was a negative star I would give them that. Try getting credit for broken damaged tile. They will blame everyone else but themselves for delivering damaged tile. I would never recommend nor shop here for anything. Bad attitude and bad service. read more

This place operates like a car sales showroom. I went to ask about the price and availability of 12x12 floor tile and after 15 minutes of hard sell tactics we left. They will not answer simple questions directly, but insist on bulldozing into your remodeling job and will not give straight answers about product availability and cost. Try Floor Decor, Pacific Island Floors, HPM or Home Depot. This place is only for naive homeowners to get sucked into a major project. Not a place to go to just buy materials. read more

We were looking at putting blinds on our newly purchased home. Loretta at Carpet Isle was great at spending time with us and going over viable options. She was patient and insightful and helped us to price out blinds that would work for us. While we did not purchase them at this time, she is a great resource and these folks are worth taking the time to see for your window treatment options. read more

This place is a rip off. I went in for 700 sq ft of laminate flooring. I was quoted $6400. This was with some fictitious discount. I was told the installation would take about 3 months to get on the schedule and the price I was quoted did not include installation. I took the information and left to shop around. I found the exact flooring by the same maker and got a quote for $3400. I called carpet Isle the next morning to find out why they were so much more expensive for the same product and ask if they priced matched. Kendra, the sales lady that helped me, was busy and I was told she call back shortly. By the end of the day I had not heard from her. I called back. I ask her the price per sq ft. she said she gave me a bulk rate price. I told her about the quote. She wanted to see it in writing. I told her I didn't have to prove anything to her and what was her price per sq ft. She was going to check with her manager and call me back the next day. She didn't. Two days later she calls back and leaves a voice mail about this fantastic deal she had. I called her back and left a message to call back. The whole day has passed and she still has not callback. I purchased the laminate from the other merchant for $3400. He gave me great customer service. and answered all of my questions. I won't be wasting my time at carpet Isle again. read more

Carpetisle Flooring America is only about sales and not service. I have purchased and installed both laminate flooring and carpeting. The flooring has started to separate and blister. The carpeting is separating at the seams. I called Carpetisle twice in a span of two weeks and was told that I would receive a call back on those two occasions. I waited almost another week demanding to speak to the manager. Again i was told that I would receive a call back. I finally got one.a day or 2 later. Anyway a Co. representative finally came to check ont my complaint. I was told that a manufacturer's representative will be coming by to reinspect the damages to the flooring. i was also told that the carpeting would be fixed. The company representative informed me that (he/she) would be my advocate to resolve my complaint. This was on 4/22/15. today is 6/11/15 and I have yet to hear anything from Carpetisle Flooring America. Anyone wanting to purchase and install flooring or carpets be advised that. there are other businesses in Hilo that believe that servicing the customer after the sale is just as important as the sale. This does not seem so with Carpetisle Flooring America Ask around to see how many property managers recommend Carpetisle Flooring America. read more
