I have now had one filling and three cleanings in my year and a half as a client and am grateful to have found Blanc for a number of reasons: 1) Flexibility with scheduling and the team here was even understanding when I arrived (I NEVER do this) 15 minutes late to a cleaning. 2) No nonsense "service" with just facts. No additional "selling" of things that has made me feel really scheezy at other dentist offices. 3) Tight knit and kind team that always makes me feel at ease. 4) FAST appointments. Even my filling took less than an hour. Overall the best experience I've ever had at a dentist and this team will have me as a patient for as long as I live in Philadelphia. Thanks so much, team!

Honestly, the best. Years ago, back in 2013, I sent my dad here on a Groupon to get a cleaning and…read morean idea of how much fixing up his teeth would cost. Dr. Fan sat with him and did many slides of x-rays and wrote out the skeletons of a comprehensive plan to tackle all the issues. My dad then had a separate health crisis and also spent some time abroad. Fast forward to end of 2018, my dad had been living under my care for two years, and I'm adamant he receives regular dental care. I wrestle him back here for a cleaning a month ago. We discover that an old dental bridge is teetering on the edge of collapse. Dr. Fan again devises a full plan that calls for the bridge to be taken out, two teeth removed, and dental implants. Upon learning the cost of such an undertaking, my dad starts to waffle. The day before his first appointment to start the implant process, he shows up to the clinic wanting to negotiate the price down. Dr. Fan took the time to explain to him what he was and wasn't being charged for (actually discounts), and why some materials cost what they do. Instead of being impatient or offended, Dr. Fan provided my dad actual medical advice and care, above and beyond what is required of him. All the front desk people and dental technicians are super nice and friendly. We had a mix-up about payment that was completely my doing. I ran right back after getting home, and in the probably half hour I was gone, they'd already taken all the steps they could on their end to hopefully help resolve the issue. They went through all that trouble even though it was totally not their fault. I have every confidence in the work Dr. Fan does, and I think the clinic is staffed with really caring and kind people. If I didn't have such anxiety that prevents me from "breaking up" with my own dentist, I'd come here myself. Wholeheartedly recommend.

I would advise caution if you are considering returning to the new owners. Though they had my insurance information and it was billed by Dr. Rice's staff previously, they did not give me a heads up that I would not be covered under the new ownership and I have been stuck with a large bill. Unless you have specific issues that need to be addressed, a typical check-up will last you no more than 25 minutes. As someone who has done a fair amount of dentist hopping due to previous dentists always trying to sell me products, the efficient service of Dr. Rice has been a welcome change. One note about the Yelp check-in offer: you will ALWAYS receive a goodie bag with toothpaste, a toothbrush, and floss after every cleaning, regardless of whether or not you check-in. The receptionist was actually very confused when I showed her the offer on my phone as she had apparently never seen it before. Just know that if you'll always get a goodie bag no matter what you do.

My dentist instructed me to have some root canal work done so I contacted Dr. Kaminsky and was told that his office could perform the work I needed. After being examined and having x-rays taken, Dr. Kaminsky agreed that his office could do the work and set up an appointment for the procedure. 2 days before my endodontist appointment I contacted the office and was told that his office had tried to email me (they wrote down the wrong email address) saying that the endodontist was concerned and wouldn't perform the root canal without a consultation. Why they hadn't called me sooner when I didn't respond to the email, I do not know. I went in an hour before the appointment to meet the endodontist. He told me that my bridgework's condition was questionable and he wanted to have a scan taken(costing several hundred dollars) so he could come up with a course of treatment. Treatment? All I came in for was a root canal. I responded that I had come in for the root canal and I would go back to my dentist to consult with him about the bridgework. He said he wouldn't perform the root canal without a scan so I left. My dentist is tops in his field with over 40 years experience along with having taught many dentists at the University of Pennsylvania's dental school. He is an artist in his field and I've had these teeth for 20 years with only one or 2 minor issues. Because of Dr. Kaminsky's office insistence on a scan and even though he hadn't seen any noticeable issues, I had him perform a scan. He informed me that my bridgework was fine and that all I needed was the root canal work that he had prescribed. Dr. Kaminsky's office had the nerve to send me a bill for the consultation. I just went in for a root canal, but was coerced into possibly signing on for an extra procedure and expensive dental work. I'm thankful that I left, but am disturbed that I did not receive one of the necessary root canals which my 2024 insurance would have covered . I have had to wait months to get the needed work done and have experienced a month of unnecessary anxiety over the thought that my bridgework was failing. The possibility of requiring very costly procedures which I think Dr. Kaminsky's office would have been glad to offer caused me more than one sleepless night.
