EXCELLENT SERViCE and FOOD. THiS iS A DESTiNATiON SPOT!…read moreHands down, best Indian food i have ever had. And i have had Indian food from many restaurants and temples all over the USA and even Hawai'i. This food at Cascade is made with such good intention, you can taste it! Delightful! Pranayumyum for your tumtum! [i just made that up, copyright!] Truly tho. The food made by Chef Bobbi is like prasadam, only better! He makes everything from scratch. He caters to any dietary restriction or request. Most of my friends are meat and dairy eaters, and those items here are fabulous, too. However: i am a strict vegetarian [vegan], gluten and dairy free. Chef Bobbi is attentive to specialty requirements and wishes. He can basically make anything on the menu into a vegetarian dish, et cetera. FAVES: Korma [cashew cream dish], and The Pakura [vegetable fritter, breaded with garbanzo bean flour]. Chef Bobbi will surprise us sometimes with special samples of items. For instance, while i was breaking my fast from Lent, he served me a delightful vegan dal [not even on the menu]. They have brought out wonderful, colorful desserts that my husband can eat [dairy]. This Indian restaurant is a destination. It is absolutely beautiful, at the gateway to the Upper Cascades. There is an exquisite back patio. They have a rad bar section that opens for Summertime. Bartender Rodju will return!? Seriously, everybody has to try this place, and yall will come back! Postscript: if you have dietary restrictions, be sure to ASk! Also, if you are unsure about communication, use your translator in Hindi. Chef Bobbi also knows poquito Español.

Indian cuisine was a nice treat to see when we searched Yelp for dinner options in the area - other restaurant options are more or less the same. They have incredible food, thus they are busy. There is indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside near the patio and it's a nice view of the mountains and trees. The staff are friendly, but because it was during a busy holiday weekend dinner rush, it took a bit for our food. It's definitely worth the wait! We ordered vegetable pakoras for an appetizer that comes with two yummy dipping sauces. I had the saag lamb, and the server does ask for your spice level preference. The mango lassi pairs perfectly with rich and spicy food, it's a creamy, lightly sweet yogurt-style drink. It's a lot of food for a great price, especially considering it's a touristy area near the park. It's a great place to eat and refill up from a long day of hiking or exploring.

So much we brought some home. Shared the bbq pulled pork sandwich with cold slaw on top, again excellent food. Glad we shared, plenty of food. For dessert we shared a 20 oz homemade hard ice cream Blackberry milkshake. So thick we used spoons ! The young server was open & very friendly. Took our order without notes and got it right!

I absolutely love the outdoor seating area as it is nestled among the pine trees and there are lots of seating options and some games you can play while waiting for your food. Beautiful surroundings. What most people come here for are the yummy large burgers and fries and shakes, etc. Although in their menu the offer sandwiches, wraps and salads too. Everyone I saw while there had burgers on their trays. The appetizers are also very yummy. We shared the garlic cheese curds to start and they were very tasty and served hot. Among our group of 5 people we tried a variety of the burger options including Jalapeno Burger, Grilled Onion Burger. I substituted the sweet tempura brussels sprouts for fries and another did onion rings. The rest of us had the delicious fries. The burgers were very big and difficult to finish for several of us so we took a lot of it home. While here we also ordered the special "Doggy Burger" for our dog. This is a basic cooked hamburger which we chopped up for the dog. And I also ordered a slice of the white chocolate raspberry dessert that the worker said was fresh out of the oven. That had to come home for a later day as we were stuffed. Great tasting food here! I'll be back.

I was admittedly a pessimist, because the last handful of places we've visited have been in the 'eh' category. We decided to try it anyway. I ordered a caramel macchiato and loaded avocado toast. Husband got the chipotle chicken panini. They warned us that there was a short wait, which turned out to be so worth it. The avocado toast was the absolute best avocado toast I've ever had. The sweet little red onions tied it all together. As soon as we left I told my husband I was going to dream about it lol. I am a bit of a coffee connoisseur. I've worked at coffee shops and this I'm pretty picky when it comes to my coffee. This was one of the best coffees I've ever had. And I don't take my food ratings lightly. I don't even know what it was about the coffee that was so good. I watched them make it and it was as not much different than I've seen elsewhere - but somehow it was just so good. I doubt I'll happen to be traveling this part of the states again, but if I do, I'd go out of my way to come here again. My husband also loved the panini. 5 stars. Well done!
