I followed up the call with another txt indicating I didn't need their services and they immediately replied "OK." Perhaps the job wasn't big enough? I have no idea, however the complete lack of response is, in my opinion, disrespectful and I cannot recommend them. If don't you want the job, just say it. Don't leave customers hanging.

He was able to come out earlier than scheduled which was a plus and got the job finished nearly a day early. The first day of installation, he was the only person there as one of his guys didn't show up but rather than reschedule, he did all the digging and posts all by himself...seriously this was some major manual labor especially without any assistance! He arrived as scheduled to evaluate, measure and prepare the estimate, and he brought samples of his work. He also made several excellent recommendations for enhancing safety and appearance. His estimate was quite reasonable for this type of custom fabrication and installation. We accepted and he arrived to begin work as agreed. After meticously fitting and tack welding, he took the rails back to his shop for finish welding, then out for powder coating. During this time he kept us informed of the status, and delivered and installed the rails when promised. The quality of his finished product and the installation far exceeded our highest expectations and Grant was personable, professional and very pleasant to work with. I highly recommend Mindsight Metal for railings and custom metal fabrication.

Amanda answered and was totally disrespectful and full of excuses, never called to let us know when they were going to come. When they did show up there was no call. They just showed up. There is a total lack of communication between everyone at this company. On each of the two days that they did show up ( always unannounced ) to work the two guys worked for about 3 hours and then left with no word of when they would be back. That's 2 months longer than they told us it would take, and after that the workmanship was not that good. I really regret having Discount Fence do this work for me. Please see the attached photos A total of 3 posts and a few panels, a steel gate and panel. I can and will fix there bad installation myself but I shouldn't have to.

They would just show up on their time and disappear without notice. I understand that there are obstacles that are not seen by the naked eye. Apparently there was a rock in the corner of the fence line but a knock on the door or a phone call from the owner to address the situation for they both knew about it. I would have removed it on my own if we would have know about it for I have the means. The only time the owner came out is when someone in the office told him that we were not paying the balance due. He first started off a bit rough with that miscommunication. Not a good first impression. When I asked about the dip and bowed out corner he brought up the rock situation. Apparently the installer sent him a photo whenI asked to see it, he couldn't show me. There are ways around that but his installer who he said is no longer work for them did not know how apparently. But he said that he would fix it but at our cost. Not very professional. They have been called out three more time to put the fence back together from where it was not attached correctly. Before the last time we called the office for over a month to fix their problem. Missy said that the delay is that they had to order a new top rail, funny since the supply house is in town here. In the end there is no new top rail just the same one with now more with new scratches jamming it back in. Not sure if I am more upset with the work or the unprofessional handling by the owners. Not very professional! Missy claimed that in the fine print they are able to take the easy way out with the rock and live with it. Not very professional. Gerry

All I can say is don't waste your time with these guys. They are terrible at calling you back…read more I went online and requested a call back. They didn't call me back on the day I requested. They finally called me 5 days later. They asked me about my fence and said they would send me an estimate. I waited for 2 weeks but no estimate. I sent them a message and asked for an update. It's been over a week since then, but no response! It has been almost a month, and I still haven't gotten an estimate. Just imagine how long for these guys to install a fence. By the way, they are only open three days a week (M, W, F), and they close at 4:00pm. I decided to give 2 stars, rather than 1, just because they called me back once (5 days late). Otherwise, I give them an F grade. Carl and his crew did an excellent job replacing our original wooden fence and repairing our…read moreneighbors two sections. The work included the fabrication of two large personnel gates and the removal of a large tree limb. Personnel walking by have commented that the fence is attractive. The custom square 2 inch x 2 inch x 3/8 inch lattice top is very attractive. We specified 2 x2 vs standard 2.5 x 2.5 inches for privacy and Carl custom fabricated it in his shop at no additional cost. Wood comes from a local Deming, WA area mill where it is custom milled. The custom Cedar vertical slats are a full 3/4 inch thick. The 6 X 6 pressure treated posts that I specified make the fence very strong and all structural framework is pressure treated wood. The company is very fair in pricing any extras that may come up during construction such as changing from the 4 x 4 posts to 6 x6 posts.

I originally sought to hire a roofing contractor via Yelp and sent a quote request to several companies at once. Edy responded within an hour of my posting and via messaging I shared pics of my roof, my budgetary situation and timeline. Edy acknowledged my concerns and met me at my property to better understand and communicate the reality of my roofing situation. Edy proceeded to share his findings (a roof layered with two layers of heavy asphalt shingles) and his professional advice and hesitation to lay a metal roof over the existing shingles, although doable, at this stage considering the amount of weight already bearing down onto the property's structure. His honesty and hesitancy to complete this job to merely satisfy the customer and collect a financial sum spoke volumes. He offered and I accepted, free of charge, a detailed breakdown of all material needed to complete a metal roofing project and after much negotiation with Edy, addressing the labor costs and trash removal, allowed me to better understand the magnitude of a roofing job. After some thought and citing the fact that he set an honest tone from the onset, I hired him understanding that other unforeseen structural issues could arise and upon their first day on the job site with his crew totaling 4, he in fact discovered a foam barrier placed upon the frame acting as an insulator (I have an a-frame home). Edy and I worked through the issue which resulted in additional materials and labor costs, but after detailed removal of the shingles and meticulously installing the metal sheets over insulation via wood slats, the project was completed beautifully and professionally. Edy and his crew were very detail oriented, respectful, courteous and friendly. He quickly submitted a detailed quote including everything he'd do, including cleaning not only my exterior windows but the screens, frames, and sills as well, but also answered my multiple follow-up questions too. After reviewing other quotes, I hired Nathan and set up an appointment a few days later. He arrived right on time and did an amazing job on my windows! I don't even think I realized how dirty those darned windows were, but the difference was impressive. I was so impressed with Nathan that I booked him for next weekend to come clean my roof.
