Really great experience!…read more I've been wanting to come here for a long time, back In my student days I walked past it countless of times for some reason thinking I'd never be able afford it aha I was meant to attend here a few months ago with my friend but she got ill however the whole booking journey was a very pleasant one. This time I booked the Thai restaurant upstairs for my dad's birthday. Walking in from the 32°c heat the air con was welcoming. On the tappenyaki floor were wooden elephants and beautiful natural wooden tables etc. Upstairs was beautifully decorated with Thai carvings, paintings and wicker fish traps! I was greeted by name and we had the whole place to ourselves. The menu was diverse with starters costing between £7 to £10 and mains about £15 . After being served cold lemon water by a lovely waiter we chose between us chilli squid, chicken satay and crying tiger (spicy steak) for starters. The steak was a bit overcooked for my preference but it was beautifully cut and seasoned so it still enjoyable although the side salad consisted of iceburg lettuce with no dressing etc. my dad's chicken satay was a lovely portion and looked tasty and my sisters squid was a nice size too. The coating didn't stick very well to it but still very tasty . For mains my partner chose pineapple rice with prawns, myself yellow curry with crispy sea bass, my sister the chicken green Thai curry and my father the jungle curry . Despite the heavy-handed turmeric in the rice this was the closest thing we've had to pineapple rice since our Thailand trip . Was really fresh and tasty . My yellow curry was divine with perfectly cooked sea bass. Both my dad and sisters meal also looked fabulous! At the end they had remembered my dads birthday and brought out a candlelit dessert. Overall a very welcoming service with beautiful food just subtle tweaks though to make it perfect. I will definitely return.

From the outside it looks basic but when you see the menu and get your food served it's far from basic! Amazing sized portions and just so authentic. We just made it through the starters before indulging into our mains. Little did I expect that my portion would be enough for 3 people instead of myself. Had to box it up and will gladly polish off tomorrow. Can't recommend this place more as it's off the main street, staff and service were so welcoming, serving was quick (albeit it was quiet) and the prices are so cheap! Total package

I'm so glad that this place has received good reviews across the board. Mine won't add much more:…read morethe exterior appearance does it few favours, the interior decor is on the way to feeling like someone's front room, but the food was great. With a couple of other people we went for one of the banquets to experience what they have to offer - I was very happy with everything. My companions felt that the starters were a little disappointing, or at least quite generic and at times lacking flavour. I thought they were great though, because I value variety over quality perhaps! We all liked the soups though, which were packed with chicken and other tasty bits. The we had a selection of mains, from prawns to beer and so on. Tender meat, interesting sauces and fresh ingredients: all fine by me.

Didn't seem to care about feeding a Jewish vegetarian pork and prawn dumplings in his vegetable…read moretempura. We ordered vegetable tempura as part of my family's going away meal, and I ate one of the tempura pieces and through the texture was weird and different. I bit into a second and knew then that something was off. I opened it up and saw prawn. I then opened up the other tempura'ed dumplings by hand. There were also chicken ones as well. It was mostly vegetables, but the fact remains that meat was mixed into this vegetarian dish. It was all good except for that. The reason I'm leaving a terrible review is because we let the restaurant know, and they really didn't seem to understand what was wrong or why this was bad. Nor did they apologise for the fact the order was wrong. Liverpool is big on vegetarian food, and it's 2022. People know what vegetarian means. I didn't want any free stuff or anything, just for them to apologise and promise to do better in the future. I wouldn't even have left this review if they had just apologised and promised to do better in the future. It's not that hard to say sorry for giving someone the wrong item. I ordered something with the expectation it would be vegetarian. It was not.

Thai Spice in Chorlton offers authentic Thai cuisine in a modern and bright setting. Granted, it wasn't exactly their busiest time, but they seemed very professional and I'm sure this standard wouldn't slip during rush hour. With the early dining menu, you get to choose a starter and a main from their varied menu for £11.95. One thing I will say though is that I'd like to see more fish dishes on offer at this restaurant. I absolutely love their Gai Satay Chicken as a starter, which is presented with a garnish and special peanut sauce. For my main I went for Pad Gra Tiem with beef, which is basically a stir fry with garlic and black pepper. It was simple yet delicious. Their Pad Thai was very authentic too, the classic dish that I always use as a benchmark in great Thai cuisine.
