Mainly because I couldn't decide, I went for the mixed platter to start, which was good. The rolls and dips were tasty, some items were a little greasy but the prawn toast was great. The satay sauce was the highlight. I also tried a little of the cauliflower and chicken coconut soup, which was amazingly light but perhaps a bit soapy...? For main I had the masaman. Lots of tender beef, amazingly rich and fragrant nutty, sweet sauce and boiled rice. Incredible. I couldn't finish it as it got a bit sickly but boy, it was good. And meant I didn't need pudding. The Pad Thai was amazingly fresh with plenty of flavour, but didn't live up to (my impossibly high) expectations. Even on weeknights it seems to get quite busy so best to book.

Food was lovely, fresh and good sized portions ( see pics) one friend went for the Thai style fish which was a whole fish served on a platter with separate veg - waitress assisted with removing it from the bone. Had a really lovely evening here - don't be put off by the outside whilst not bad it was clearly an old pub in its former life but a lovely restaurant with nice staff and good food now reside inside. Big car park also resides behind for the drivers amongst you although it easily reachable by tram.

I went with 10 people last week on a work night out, and everyone really enjoyed their meals. The food is freshly cooked with lots of healthy ingredients and the presentation is lovely. Prices are approx £3-4 for a starter and approx £7-8 for a main meal, the portions are generous, but if you can fit in a dessert I recommend the Thai pancakes ;-)

For our mains I had the drunken noodles (guay tiew pad kimow) which was delicious, again with a perfect level of spice-to-flavor ratio and featuring a very generous portion of vegetables. My coworker had the red curry (gaeng phed) which was also very good, great flavor, very rich and creamy. All in all it was a great choice and a good price point. The restaurant itself was nice, comfortable and clean, and the staff was very attentive and friendly. I finished off with a sticky toffee pudding, as one must do when they're over in the U.K. from the US, and I will definitely return next time I'm in town! Not bad and not a lot to lose so we tried it out the next Tuesday. We were welcomed by a young man who was very pleasant and he said we can sit anywhere. It has a feel of a pub but this is not a bad thing for an informal bite to eat. The drinks order you have to place at the bar and pay separately as it is 2 separate businesses. This is a strange thing but it doesn't detract from the quality of the food. Also drinks prices are reasonable. The food was served to the table by a lovely woman with a massive smile. The smell as the doors opened from the kitchen was amazing. The presentation was excellent. We hardly spoke whilst eating, it was that good. The penang curry was nice and spicy but full of flavour and the massaman was nice and mild filled with chicken and potatoes. For £10 this place simply cannot be beat on a Tuesday! Even at full prices it is definitely worth it. If you are in early enough you can even get a seat ready for the evening entertainment on a Friday and Saturday which is good if you're into that sort of thing. Service is faultless, as soon as you enter (no matter how busy they are) they acknowledge you. Takeaway or to eat in the restaurant. The food is very tasty with plenty of flavour and value for money. My favourite is Thai Green curry and I always ask for it mild (cant take hot food, red face ha ha) I recommend one of the Satay Chicken platters to start (the sharing ones are good with a large group) One of my favourite places to dine and you get sweets at the end when you pay :)
