I had the seafood bisque and I almost couldn't believe we were in DuBois - I'm from Napa California. It wasn't your typical heavy cream and unidentifiable seafood. The crab was tender and the cream light enough the seafood could shine. I also ordered the smoked duck salad that had goat cheese and caramelized onions in field greens. Outstanding. The venue is also a great price, and has a convenient location (there are several hotels less than 5 minutes away). The beautiful fields behind the venue are perfect for photos as is the creek that runs next to the barn (if you are brave enough to dip your toes!). There is plenty of room at the venue including the lawns surrounding the barn which we used for lawn games. If you want an amazing venue for a great price in North Central PA - look no further!

Getting water is even a challenge and a you will hear a complaint if you ask the server. Table service isn't quick but the food is good. As an out of town, often in town visitor I want to love it like I do my home lodge, but it's just not very welcoming. They have a nice sized outside area with a run down bocci court and frequent live music in the summer months. The building is modern and open with what looks like an area that could be used as a venue for events. A large parking lot is also available on site.

Caroll is a great hostess and wonderful cook. We used not only the rooms but the Garden Center for the bridal party hair and makeup, the pavilion and fire ring for the rehearsal dinner and the grounds for gorgeous bridal party pictures. Our wedding was not held there, but she hosts wedding as well. I would have loved to have more time to just enjoy the peace and quiet on the porch.
