The breakfast area was spotless, truly "brand new" clean, and the food was fresh, well stocked, and honestly delicious for hotel food. But Terra is what made this stay stand out. Even when it was busy, she was everywhere, keeping everything clean, full, and running smoothly while constantly checking in with guests. She brought such a genuine, positive energy to the space. What really stood out was how she connected with people. She took the time to show my son how things worked and explain why, and I saw her doing the same for other families. That level of care is rare. The best way to describe her is superhuman. She is truly next level. Every hotel needs a Terra.

We came up to northern Pa last month and stayed in this absolutely wonderful bed and breakfast for…read more2 nights, in the cranberry room. It is the most peaceful place and we loved staying there. There is a shared living room, kitchen, and wrap around porch. We spent hours on the porch as we don't have any outdoor space at our home in the city. We met sooo many nice people who were staying there and we all hung out on the porch together each day. We arrived on a Sunday night and learned from other guests that no places are open for dining on Sundays, so we went to the local food store and bought steaks and other side dishes and cooked out on the gas grill area. Like everyone is saying in their reviews, the breakfast is spectacular. We also bought a ton of homemade jam, salsa, and honey in the gift shop. It was quite reasonably priced. In terms of exercising, I didn't really feel safe biking or running from the bnb as the roads have no shoulder and the large trucks speed down the road, but my bf biked from there every day. I walked the steep hilly dirt road across the street and drove to safer places to run/bike. Everything is a pretty far drive away, but I think that is normal life for this part of the state and we just enjoyed the scenery of country life on our drives. I def would stay here again next time if I come back to this area.

It was in a quiet little Pennsylvanian town, with a quaint pond and bridge out front and a wide parking lot. Felt like a giant Southern estate by the water. Beds were plush and comfortable. Stairs in the lobby led up to the library, which was a warm plus. Has a pool with a slide (fun!) and a gym. Breakfast was included, with adequate options. Rating: 4 /5 This hotel is an award winning hotel, and I can see why. The staff was friendly and helpful. The decor, ambience, and offerings were all wonderful. The rooms are as pictured, they are spacious and accessible. I would have given 5 stars, but for 2 reasons: 1. The bed was very firm. I do feel like most hotel beds are, but for an "award winning hotel" I was interested to see if the room were different, and they were not much different than any other comfort inn. 2. "Breakfast buffet": Again with this being an "award winning hotel" I was excited for a breakfast buffet that would be as good as the adjoining restaurant food we had the night prior. However, it was pretty standard and very small. They have 2 waffle irons( which most hotels have), they had the smallest platter of hot food I have seen. It was 1 dish with 3 sections. Powdered eggs with a garnish, red potatoes ( they were good though!), and very small thin slices of ham that was sitting in water. This dish that held the food was so small, only 1 person at a time could go up to it. You move down the line to a selection of cereals. A microwave to microwave instant oatmeal, a fridge with hard boiled eggs, milk choices, etc. coffee is from a machine. The breakfast area seating needs to be update as well. The chairs were very worn and for a family of four we had these 4 big chairs at a small table. If I was coming through the area and needed to stay here again, I would, but because of the breakfast and bed- I wouldn't go out of my way just to stay at this hotel, unfortunately.

We stayed there twice in August, on our way to and from Canada. The first time we managed to leave behind our special pillows (mine is orthopedic, for neck and back problems). Also, we carry some food up with us to our cabin, so we use ice packs. The rooms have refrigerators but no freezer compartment. However, they took the freezer packs and put them in their freezer so we were good to go the next day. A special shout-out to Dean Harmon, the extremely helpful person in charge both evenings.
