It determines whether I proceed. Kenneth (wildlife expert) was the 1st person I interacted with. Kayla (ofc mgr) was the 2nd... I can't say enough about these 2 employees! They both went above & beyond. They made me feel like they understood what I was going through, and it didn't seem like it was just a job for them. I feel they actually cared about my concerns. I called because I saw a gray rat snake on my porch after baby birds. I was terrified. Like REALLY petrified!!! Kenneth explained in detail where it possibly came from, and he calmed my fears by explaining a solution. He was calm. I like a a lot of information so that I can make an informed decision. He was patient with me, answered all my questions, and was polite & kind. Because of his customer service, I canceled my ongoing account with Orkin, and switched to this company 100%. They provide the same service as Orkin, but the additional service of wildlife protection, for basically the same price. My next encounter was with the office manager Kayla. She also was kind, helpful and patient. She walked me through how to sign up for the online account. And even though I called back several times she was kind and patient each time, and walked me through the process step by step until I completed sign-up. Her instructions were perfect. When I told her I don't give out credit card information over the phone, she figured out a way for me to do it myself online. I am happy to be a new customer because of these 2. Because of these 2, I have also recommended this company to several others in my neighborhood who are experiencing the same snakes (Kenneth explained they are most likely coming from nearby land being cleared in our subdivision for new lots). I also recommended this company to friends and family who live elsewhere in the city that I think could benefit from their expertise. Give them a try!

The tenant in the duplex I own saw evidence of rodents, and after my husband I couldn't get a handle on it, I sought out an exterminator. Perks WorX responded to my Request a Quote via Yelp, and we were able to schedule a time for them to come out within the following days. Come to find out, we weren't dealing with mice but with Norwegian rats (viking rats!!!!), and the exterminator also pointed us to a raccoon living in the attic (ew!!!). I hate that I know way more about both of these creatures than I did before, but I'm thankful that Perks WorX had such information to impart. Their prices were the best I found, and they were able to get our rat situation (again, ew!) under control, and we have a plan for the raccoon. I was also able to text them questions throughout the process. While I hope I don't have to call an exterminator again when another pest situation arises ... Their pricing continually kept increasing and they wore me out trying to up sell me. A couple years ago I started using Boggs. Their pricing is reasonable and I've found them to be very responsive. Boggs recently did what I call my Fall service by spraying the perimeter of my home for insects. They also spread granules in my landscaping to kill millipedes and silver fish. The very next day, while working in my yard, I noticed Red Wasp taking up residence in my overhang. I called Boggs and they returned two days later. Courtney sprayed a solution that killed them on contact and left a residue that killed returning wasp. Since they had been at my house just two days prior, I was only charged a small fee for the service call. Very reasonable. Additionally, Boggs doesn't constantly try to up sell you. Everytime they leave, they just say "If anything comes up gives us a call".

Canceling Aptive has been way harder than dealing with the ants…read more I've been a customer for several years and tried to cancel about a month ago. The agent told me my card was removed (it wasn't) and said I couldn't cancel yet because I was on auto-renew -- I was told to call back at the beginning of the year. So I did. And that's when the fun really started. I emailed the address they list for support -- turns out it's no longer monitored. I was told to send "written notice" to another email, which then replied that they don't handle cancellations. I was told to call instead... except live agents were out for the New Year holiday. All this while I'm getting texts about a future service appointment that I'm actively trying to cancel. Every path leads to a dead end. Email says call. Call says no one's available. Another email says they don't do cancellations. Meanwhile, service is still scheduled. If you're thinking about Aptive, just know that signing up is easy -- getting out is not. At this point, I'm honestly not sure who the bigger pest is: Aptive or the ants.

I called this morning to try and cancel AGAIN and he basically told me no, and that they'll give me 2 free services. So I paid $233.50 for a random family in my old home to have two free services. Now I have to go into my bank today and close the account so these people can't steal more money from me. I'd rather have ants than deal with these bottom feeder people. He also said I'm paying for a 24 month service, 3 visits/year when they've been coming monthly since June.
