I dropped off my car for the day and went to work. I received a call around 4 pm (they close at 5:30) that they had just begun to work on my car. The man I spoke with (Jason) informed me that two of the used tires I had previously purchased didn't have enough studs. He offered me 2 new tires. I asked that he check the warehouse for used tires. He agreed and stated he would call me back. After 45 minutes,I had not received a call. I called and Jason informed me he had passed the job onto someone else but that yes I should have been called, they were putting two used tires on. When I went to pick up my car, it was after hours. I turned the key and immediately saw flashing and beeping indicators for low tire pressure. I would have gone in to ask an employee to take a second look but no one was available. I stopped at a gas station and checked tire pressure, filled them all up and drove the 45 miles back to anchorage, all with the tire pressure sensor light blinking at me. The next morning I woke up to a flat tire. In anchorage, with a looming commute to Wasilla. I had the tire repaired in anchorage and called diversified immediately. Jason was professional and apologetic and saw me as soon as I got to Wasilla. He wasn't able to identify the problem but put on a new tire for me free of charge. Bottom line: don't go during busy season, good customer service and a job well done the second time.

Recently I had a significant leak in one of my vehicles that looked like it was coming from the radiator...this was a job for a professional. Of course, I start calling around to various shops and no one will take the vehicle that day because of the maintenance backlog. I called several shops and one referred me to Wasilla Family Auto, so I gave them a call. Despite having other vehicles in the queue they were able to fix my vehicle before the day was over. They understood that I needed the vehicle, have an inflexible schedule and work 45 minutes away, so they worked with me. Nick later told me that I didn't need an alternator replaced but instead a new battery. He then sent a new estimate which was even more than the previous one. I felt like I was being taken advantage of and told him not to do any further work. I then asked what I owed at that time. He said that they changed out the battery and it was $400. They charged me $400 to swap my car battery...that to me is outrageous !!!!
