In his initial assessment, Candido identified all areas which were contributing to the problem and explained what he would do and why (every contractor should do this but it doesn't always happen). He also identified an area contributing to ingress of water to the house that two other contractors missed. His estimate was extremely fair (one contractor quoted a total of $24k for the same solutions). The work was started within days of agreement on the scope of work and it was completed within 1.5 days. Work included excavating and installation of a dry well, regrading and relaying a stone path, and partial repaving of the driveway. He and his colleague even cleared a gutter and replaced and repitched some existing drainage on the side of the house. No trash or mess was left behind after the work was done. It's been a few weeks since the installation and repairs and am relieved to see no water coming into the basement even after several downpours and no damp basement walls. I'm happy we went with Candido and would gladly work with him again on another project.

Originally, I thought patching the inside of the basement would suffice. I found Complete Paving & Masonry on Yelp, and reached out; Jerry responded very quickly and was able to come by to provide a visual inspection and a quote. He recommended that work needs to be done on the outside in order to fix the inside. We took a walk around the outside and he provided points of what work needed to be done. Essentially, he recommended to dig up the dirt around the foundation; patch and seal the foundation; put in some gravel and then cover it up with dirt. This would help prevent water from leaking through the foundation into the basement/garage. After conversing with my fellow condo neighbor, we hired Jerry's team to do the work. Within a week, they were able to come on site and start the work. It took them 4 days to do the work (original quote was 3-5 days). Jerry and his team did a magnificent job. They went above and beyond the original estimate's work at no extra charge to improve the water flow surrounding the condo. They also did some additional patch work on the outside of the condo. When the job was completed, Jerry walked me through everything his team did and why it was done, so I was able to understand the reason for the work. Jerry is friendly, honest, and provides top notch service. I highly recommend his team for any mason work.

Lo and behold city hall said no permit was pulled and no inspection was ordered. Their names are Freddie and Matthew. The work was done by 2 gentlemen who do not speak English. I will be taking legal action on this matter to recoup what i paid since I have to have all the work completely redone and it has comprised the integrity of our 4 season room. I also just recently lost my husband and they preyed on that. Unfortunately, i was scammed. I repeat, do not use them.

I thought that was steep for an estimate fee but went ahead and scheduled them to come out the following Monday at 8:00am and I would just go into work a little late. Monday 8:00 am came and no one arrived, I waited a while and then called Linwood at 8:20 to see what was up, The recording said Linwood was closed on Mondays so I left a message explaining no one had showed up and left for work. Later in the morning I received a call from a man who stated someone showed up at my house at 8:20 to do the estimate and no one was home. I told the guy we had an 8:00am appointment and after not hearing anything I left for work at 8:20am. The man stated "we are not punctual with our appointments" He went on to say that it could have been anywhere between 8 and 9 and that the salseman is usualy good about telling customers that. I told the man I would call and reschedule later. On Wednesday I called the salesman and stated I thought they should waive the estimate fee of $85.00 and re schedule the appointment. The salseman said he would talk to the owner as he could not make that decision and call me back later in the day. No one ever called me back so I guess with those estimate fees Linwood just doesnt need the business.
