Not only is she the consummate professional, she really knows her stuff…read more I needed help in landscaping my family's front yard - as a surprise - and needed it to be beautiful and low maintenance. A friend recommended Rebecca and I am so happy she did. Since it is summer, this is her busy season yet she still found time to come out to the site, do some hands on 'study' of the property, asked for my price point and went to work. I am not a gardener - plants run when they see me coming - so her patience and constant reassurance was key and soothing. She showed up with her Jeep, her tools, iced tea and wonderful smile... and she put me to work (I volunteered) so I could get a feel for things. Ever the perfectionist, Rebecca delivered just what I needed and wanted. Again, not knowing the first thing about plants, green things or the costs of such work, I asked my wine drinking housewife friends about the pricing and they all assured me it was very good and competitive. If you need a little something special done with a nice feminine touch and personable one-on-one serviceability, look no further. Rebecca is your gal pal. AND dogs love her.

To be honest, I don't think that we were expecting a miracle from someone to do this for us with no appointment. Guess what Ms. Vicki did, although they were low on staff, she accompanied us not only by repotting our plants, but also by explaining how to do it. Her wonderful sense of humor made our day! We love you, Ms. Vicki. Don't change your beautiful personality. And to add, my plants thank you so much. They are blooming with joy! The plants are always high quality and they have such a great selection, but it can be pricey compared to other nurseries in the area. During the Spring and Summer they have a sprawling selection of plants, trees, and shrubs, I could (and have) spent hours browsing through them all. The staff is always really nice and you get the vibe that they're genuinely interested in your project and happy to give recommendations. In addition to the actual plants, they have landscaping services, lots of gardening supplies, and even decorative items and gifts. I haven't participated in anything just yet, but they even host all kinds of events and classes throughout the year. Overall, I'm super happy to have such a fun community spot nearby. They only lost a star for me because of the high prices, but as long as the plants keep doing so well I'll keep coming back anyways :)

Patty Silvester is awesome. She has been impressively responsive throughout our shopping experiences. Sent a customer to pick out pavers... he walked out with an almost brand new outdoor kitchen!!! (Although, his wife's eyes looked like they could shoot lasers ha!) that is... until he told her he got EVERYTHING, the grill, mini fridge, cabinetry etc all for $4k!!! (When retail, was about $11k!!) The pavers were great too. And BYL even delivered them down the narrow south end alleyway between abutting brownstones which was rediculously stressful. I thought my jaw was going to fall off. We couldn't even get pick up trucks down there! They brought a forklift on the back of the delivery truck, zipped right down and dropped the pallet EXACTLY where we needed it!!!! Needless to say, very pleased with our experience. Now, had the 2 previous reviewers had more patience, maybe they wouldn't have spent $20-30k on materials but half that AND SCORED SOME! Oh well, their loss - Our gain! We have since gone on to work with BYL for 4 projects. We have gotten to know the team very well. They are responsive to email, pay attention to detail to make sure that nothing is overlooked and when it comes to renovations-- man, even the smallest detail overlooked can have consequences of EPIC proportions. THEY GET IT. THEY GENUINELY CARE FOR THE CUSTOMER AND MAINTAINING A POSITIVE RELATIONSHIP. Love these guys and until they give us a reason to not, will keep coming back.
