One of the owners greeted us and gave some basic tips and details. We wandered around and I eavesdropped on a worker explaining care and upkeep of vintage wood furniture. We made a tentative selection and they encouraged us to put it on hold and consider the dimensions. We returned the next day and left with a new-to-us stunning and unique coffee table- and we couldn't be happier. Great people run this place and sell wonderful pieces. Their open and honest suggestions made me feel like shopping with much wiser friends who joined in our excitement as we decorate our home for style and comfort.

This review is overdue, but well-deserved. I went into the Bed and Bath store, in search of a nice…read moreaccent pillow for a lounge chair in my master bedroom. I walked out with two: the first, I walked right to within about 30 seconds of entering the store, and it was magically on sale! The second, I discovered as I browsed through the store so full of gorgeous finds, I could have stayed there all day. I didn't need that second one, but it was so beautiful, I was determined to find a place for it in my home, and I did - it is the perfect addition to my existing bed design. Aside from the stunning pieces in the store (absolutely everything is drool-worthy), the service was impeccable. I was immediately helped by one of the gentlemen working that particular Saturday afternoon. You know when a salesperson strikes just the right balance between being very helpful and leaving you be? That was him. His colleague was equally great. It would be easy for the salespeople in a store like this to be snotty at worst, and stand-offish at best. Given the population that likely comprises the majority of their clientele, this wouldn't be at all surprising. But despite walking into the store in workout clothes with pillow creases and smeared masacara on my face because I'd come straight from a massage up the street - let's just say, I've seen better days - they couldn't have provided better, more genuine VIP service. I like nice things and I LOVE great service, so I will most certainly return the next time I'm looking for something extra special and luxurious for my home (or someone else's)!

Claudine (she opened her own store in SF and has worked for Ligne Roset as well as connections to…read moreother furniture vendors for many years) is just amazing. We went in to check out the store - expecting to get 1 couch and ended up - largely because of her excellent customer service and huge variety of options purchasing pieces for many rooms of our home. What i like about Claudine: 1) Goes above and beyond - highly responsive on email, wants you to be a happy customer no matter what and she has an excellent eye for things. 2) We basically received interior design services for free - over many months she came out to measure, advise help us configure pieces correctly for the space, helped us with extras like recommending paint color that would best match, color scheme matching, fabric matching. 3) When we needed a piece not avail at our store - and we were considering going to Design Within Reach (LC2 furniture) - they were very limited on color options for fabric like 2-3 options. She was able to go straight through another vendor get us the full suite of fabric options avail from Cassina, come over with some recs for the space on what would fit best and secure us a discount. She did this as well for some lamps (recommended options helped to line up purchase). 4) She came out and helped when putting pieces in various rooms, mounting shelves on wall to make sure we were happy. What I like about Ligne Roset: 1) You can basically furnish a whole house - i.e. chairs, tables, rugs (we have several rugs in natural fibers from Ligne Roset which we appreciate greatly), sofas. 2) There is an almost overwhelming amount of fabric choices and colors (which Claudine helped to advise on on combos to choose). 3) Yep it's pricey - but high quality and so far the pieces we have purchased have been amazingly kid proof - the microfiber material (alcantara) is awesome - held up to kids pen marks, chocolate ice cream, even slime/play doh and still look new. I'm also thinking of having these pieces for many years to come given the quality of workmanship. 4) Yep it's made to order overseas which takes a long time - but I was able to get some extras like extra cover for the couch, rugs cut to order, extra pillows, some of these pieces zip off and are washable. I did tell Claudine some of the pieces had to come in before family came for Thanksgiving and she beat her estimate by 2 weeks and kept on top of it (she even checked it out on the assembly line in France when she was out there for a work visit). 5) I like the idea of supporting current designers and an established furniture company as well as a hard working business woman trying to run a successful business (Claudine) who is passionate about what she does and gives such tailored excellent customer service.

I purchased some baskets from them for my little girls room and went back and forth with one of their designers as I wasn't sure what would work in the space. When I purchased the items I was not informed that one of my items (on sale) was not returnable nor was I informed that the other two items I purchased were only returnable for store credit. Neither was this information laid out on my receipt. Two business days later I returned to return the three baskets and was told they don't accept returns on sale items and they only provide store credit for the none sale items. When two of the woman who helped me that day told the manager I had not be informed about their policy the woman running the show still would not make an exception for their error and on top of it was extremely rude and treated me as though I should have just know better. Well now I do know better and will never spend another dime in this store. Be careful with this place they don't value a customer, even one who is buying $300 in tiny baskets.
