In honor of National Pizza Month, we have a tradition of trying local pizza spots every Friday of the month of October. This place came highly recommended by our friends, and they were all spot on. When I first looked at the menu, I was surprised at how many choices they have! You can choose wheat, or a gluten free cauliflower crust for many of the pizzas. You also have the option to CYO (create your own) and build a pizza from crust, to sauce, to toppings. There are so many options- and the hubs is pretty traditional, so we chose one off the menu. We went with the "No Nitrate" which is essentially a meat lovers type of pie, except this one had onions-- which was really nice! We carried out, and the place was packed. The service was still excellent and the staff were super friendly and asked that I check to make sure everything looked ok before I left with our order-- which I thought was really nice! The staff at knead are always extremely friendly and go out of their way to speak in a get to know you way. Not just how is everything. The food is always fresh and can tell they put love in to it. Always plenty of seating for the family, and my son appreciates that the tv usually has sports in. Recommend trying the club pizza, trust me it's good! read more

Had a great dinner with friends at Knead a couple weekends ago. Pizza was delicious, hot, and cooked perfectly! Staff was helpful, the manager was great, and they were super accommodating for our little bit larger crowd. Everyone was wearing masks and doing their best social distancing, staff wore gloves, and washed hands often. They have a really great beer selection, too. They had some Ships Wheel Hard Cider that I had heard about but never gotten a chance to try. I appreciate that about a little hometown place supporting other local businesses! I like KP for the most part. Flavor is good but the pizzas tend to be dry for me. If I ask for extra sauce online it tends to get overlooked but in person it's ok because I can "tell them when to stop". The normal dough texture seems odd to me compared to other pizza I've had in the past. I don't know how else to explain it... it's a little hard, waxy even... maybe because it's undercooked at times. Not always like that though and not like that lately so much. I love all the options they have. It's super custom and you can honestly get fantastic deals for the amount of pizza & toppings you leave with. Always looking for great pizza and after checking yelp for nearby restaurants Knead Pizza popped up and the pictures alone made me want to come and try it. The restaurant was very clean and inviting coming in. The two employees there were very polite and helpful and patient with me as it was our first time visiting. They had great recommendations. I decided to try no nitrate but added mushrooms and spinach. It smelled amazing, looked great and tasted amazing. The crust was perfect...not to thin and held all the toppings well without being weighed down and floppy! The flavors were great! This was a good pizza experience. I was leary about trying this place at first, but my wife convinced me to give it a try. As far as Chipotle style assembly line pizza goes, the quality and flavor are better than Mod, in my opinion. May main critique would be this: I think they need to slow their oven down by a minute or so. My traditional crust was right on the acceptable edge of doneness for my taste, but my wifes gluten free crust was definitely under done. We had them refire it for a little longer. BE ADVISED. Do not order a pizza if you have a gluten allergy. The kitchen is not safe for Celiacs. While they do have gluten free crust, they bake it on the same pans as all the other pizzas. And the sauce is dipped with the same spoon. They DID clean the prep area and change their gloves. Good effort but I'm still sick. my mistake. I should have stopped them and ordered a salad. Everyone else said their pizzas were terrific! The staff need a little more education on prepping for gluten free needs. You can't burn off gluten from a pizza pan. Nice try. read more

Well I took my kids there today as a treat both of them are teenagers and both of them love pizza we are a big fan of make your own pizza I have a gluten allergy which makes it hard for us to go out to different restaurants. So we thought we would try this today I have never tasted or more cardboard crappy disgusting pizza ever I cannot believe I wasted $30 on this we will never eat there again. We live in Leesville so were excited to hear about a new pizza place about half the distance to where we normally have to go for a decent pizza (Nicky's, 5 Points). But I had grave concerns since it was near the high school. Last time I had pizza near the high school it was clearly designed to appeal to the Domino's crowd. So we were relieved to discover this was actually pretty good pizza. The menu was very interesting, lots of unique specialty pizzas. And for those not as adventurous, you have the option to create your own. They did offer a gluten-free option although this was not a concern of ours. Best of all, they had a great beer selection including some interesting craft beers on tap. The atmosphere was very casual, almost fast food. You walk up and order, then they bring it out to you when it's done. They also have flat screen TVs for you sports fans. Price is comparable any sit-down restaurant (think Mellow Mushroom or Uno's as opposed to a delivery place like Domino's or Little Caesar's). We enjoyed the Mediterranean pizza, substituting red sauce for the white that it came with. The crust was thin like we like it, but could have been more crisp IMO - we like it crispy! But the ingredients were fresh and tasty. We ordered a large which was a 14" I believe and it was just the right size for two hungry adults. No leftovers this time. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Service was fast on a Friday night, probably b/c the local high school had an away game thank god. Notwithstanding the crust crispiness factor, this is probably the best pizza around without me having to travel to downtown Cola or fight the traffic on 378. We like Angelo's pizza also but Knead has a little more modern vibe. We will definitely be back. read more

We are big fans of this type of make your own pizza joint (Uncle Maddios) and when we found out about Knead we just had to try it. Think Moe's or Subway but pizza. The service was great and the pizza was really good. My daughter decided to add something after the fact and they were very nice and accommodated her wish and were very patient.
