Super friendly owner, and super fast service. The gentleman who helped me out was very professional, said a smog would take 10 mins, and sure enough it did. There was no line, no wait - I was out faster than the DMV would ever be on an appointment. The location is super easy to find, right off the freeway, and the owner gave me a AAA discount :D thank you insurance! That or my 10-month old who was with me was just so darn cute! read more

They are always professional, quick and helpful with tips! Thank you! Be sure to ask about rat and mouse protection!

Really nice. I like that. Clear, helpful, and fast. Did the job at a fair price. Can't ask for more.

***DO NOT GO*** They do not answer their phone or take appointments. I drove 20 minutes and showed up at 4:20pm and was verbally abused! I can not remember when I have been treated so disrespectfully. I mentioned it to a friend and he too had the same experience. read more

Highly Recommended !! Very professional and honest service from Jim and John. Very fast service and on the corner next to AAA / ACSC if you need to renew your registration. In my opinion, it's this kind of place everyone wishes they could find and refer. KM Test Only Center has one price and doesn't play any games or try to feed you any BS. Thank You for great service KM Test Only Center, I will be back for any future tests. read more

Drove up got my car smog checked, had lunch at the shopping center and drove off satisfying the DMV and myself.

Came in around 10:30am on Friday with no appointment. Had to wait for one car in front of me. Smog check takes 10 minutes, no muss, no fuss. Was in and out in under 30 minutes. The receptionist was friendly and the whole experience was pleasant. Definitely will come back!! read more

I had a problem with a lame smog check place and these guys were smart enough to figure out the issue and solve it fast. I highly recommend this smog test place! read more

Walked ...well drove in and he told me it would take 15 min. When I came back the smog check was done. He had looked under the hood and found a rat must have taken residence in there. He showed me some paw prints and the wires it started chewing on... and he suggested to put dryer sheets under the hood or chewing tobacco and the smell would keep the rats out. Hope it works! All on all, great service, nice guy and uncomplicated! I highly recommend that place for a smog check!!! read more

Really nice guy, super fast (5min), and gave me a $10 AAA discount without me asking. Great place!

I showed up today at 2pm and my car was done and ready to go 15 minutes later! Super easy and convenient as there is a shopping center right behind the place to spend the time while waiting. Great service, I highly recommend! read more

I was so grateful to find a local smog test place in carmel valley and near the freeway. Really nice couple and ther is a $10 off coupon that you can show on your phone. With certificate for any car was $49 only $5 more than driving to pb or miramar. Very nice couple who ran the shop who was appreciative of the business! read more

Great service he kept it straight to the point! I was in and out of there in less than 15 minutes. There's plenty of stores and food places around if the wait is longer. read more

Fast and efficient service! I dropped the truck off and walked next door to buy a paper...didn't even get a chance to read it! Great service! read more

Great people, super easy. Fast and friendly. Been here several times and always a good experience. Usually no wait, but sometimes there is a line. Go to the website and print the $10 off coupon before you go. Not a great waiting area, but right next to the shopping center so easy to get a cup of coffee or a bite while waiting. read more

So quick! I was done in less than 10 minutes. Friendly, fast service and straightforward pricing. $59 flat fee; no weird up charges. Will definitely use them again. read more

The surly technician broke the release lever on my steering wheel and didn't tell me what happened until I went back and confronted him. Who breaks a car and then lets the customer drive away? Irresponsible at best. I would give them zero stars if I could. The guy who used to work there two years ago last time I came here was nice. Won't be going back again, plenty of other smog check stations around. read more

I went here yesterday. Called to see if there was a wait and there wasn't any. When I arrived, the guy pulled my car up as I filled out the little bit of my information. He said it would be about 10 minutes. So I meandered over to 7-11, made a round about the store, came back, sat down, and he was backing my car out. SURRIOUSLY?? I was floored at how quick and efficient that visit was. Thank you KM for making the dreaded smog check so pleasant! read more

Wow... Avoid this place like the plague. I have now tried, twice to use their service. First time their dyno was broken, but I have a 4 wheel drive so it made no difference. Two years later, I showed up at 8 am since they open at 8, finally left at 8:30 when nobody had showed up and tie other cars were also waiting. Ain't nobody got time for that. read more

Although my vehicle passed the smog test, the personalities of the technicians need to be checked. I asked several questions only to be answered by grunt sounds. This day an age, it PAYS to be friendly. read more

I forgot to take a photo. We got there and there is only one car ahead of us like a 10 minutes wait. It's flat $59 fee. We were in and out. Would def come back for other my cars. read more

Joe was quick, witty and professional. Hooked me up with a fast smog check and friendly customer service! Would definitely recommend this shop if you're around the del mar/solana area. read more

So fast and friendly! I showed up at about 6:30pm; thankfully they were open later than most stations. I was in and out in about 10 minutes. It was a great price, and the service couldn't have been better. I will go back! read more

Great service, quick and efficient but FYI they can't test all vehicles so recommended somewhere else for my Aston Martin which also worked out great. read more

When here to get a smog test and it was extremely easy and quick. Everyone who worked there was very friendly.

So easy! I went in without an appointment, filled out the paperwork in a minute, and handed off my keys. By the time I got my coffee at the 7-11 next door and walked back, they were done and my car was ready to go! I definitely recommend getting your smog tested here. read more

Needed a smog check. Called Debbie at KM, who was very helpful answering my questions. Showed up at 9 am and only one person ahead of me who was completed quickly. Jim was very prompt in completing the testing and I was finished in about 15 minutes (max). Although he didn't have to do this, he called me over to show me some indications that animals (rats) were trying to make a home in my engine compartment and offered some suggestions on how to avoid that. I'm sold...great customer service all around. Use them...I've already told my two sons in the area about KM. read more

The BEST in Del Mar! Quick service and friendly staff. I enjoyed the small talk and witty banter. $10 off inspection if you have AAA membership. Don't hesitate if you're in the area and need a quickie. read more

Jim does a great job at a fair price. Gets you in and out. He's an honest, hard-working guy; an old-fashioned straight shooter who tells you what's on his mind. I trust him and I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

6 minutes!!! That's how quickly he completed the smog test. I literally timed him from the moment he first got in my car until the smog check was done. Impressive. read more

I went on my lunch hour and was in and out with time left to go to AAA in the mall behind the station and take care of my registration. Very fast and organized, and I used the coupon. Didn't see the dog! :O( read more

It took only 10 minutes to complete my smog check, and maybe 5 more to complete the paperwork & payment. I've been here for my last two renewals and I'm going to keep coming! read more

Absolutely terrible customer service!!! The owner actually cursed at me because I apparently failed to park in the correct area - which is not marked in any visible way as he shares a lot with 2 other businesses. I promptly left since I refuse to do business with anyone like this. Instead, I headed to Car MRI at 6620 Miramar Road - 10 mins away. Well worth it. In and out in 15 mins and $10s cheaper! read more

No nonsense, has forms at the ready with clipboards and pens, quick service (under 15 min) and he did the job at lunchtime! Definitely Recommended. Thanks for the good work Jim. read more

This place is just fine: nice people, great service, great location, decent price, quick, convenient, and no appointment needed. Just bring your car in, stroll halfway around the shopping center, come back, and it's done. It will only take you half of your lunch hour. If you live or work anywhere around here, this is the place to get your car smogged. read more

Was so disappointed!!! First off the tech was dressed like a slob, clapping hands to have me come to bay, instead of walk to May car and saying ready. Didn't say good morning acted like I was doing him a favor. Jumped in car and said would smog because engine light was on. I told him it was transmitting problem and would it pass he said no. Okay I don't want you to smog. Got out of car and gave back my renewal paperwork. Not a thank you or anything. I asked if he was having a bad morning he said no. I told hi I think he was rude and he started to raise his voice and me and call me all kinds of cuss words. So much for good customer service. Do not take your car to this site. read more
