Upon arrival, there was plenty of parking and I snagged the one VIP spot right up front of their business. Tim assisted me and I was the only one there so hardly any wait at all and he even took me in early! WINNING!! Well it was a Saturday afternoon so that must have been the reason too. It's not the spot you'd like to spend your weekend but hey I got responsibilities ya know! It's also near my go-to auto shop, Elite services so this place was highly recommended to me by them. Anyway, I'm writing this review as they do my smog check! Fingers cross I pass the inspection. It's a 2006 Scion. I know my baby is old, but it's a classic at this point and functions just fine and I make sure I give her love, proper maintenance work, and pep talks. Great service and was in and out in 30 ish minutes even though they were busy. Fair price.

Another close by smog test place was closed when they should have been open. So the next day i remembered seeing this place from Miramar Rd. Stopped by after work. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What I didn't realize is they were already closed but the nice gentleman was outside and said come on in. Even though he had closed he still took me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He said he was waiting on a delivery which is why he was still there. ***DO NOT BRING YOUR 1999 OR OLDER CARS HERE!!!*** Technician spent over an hour inspecting my car to find something to fail. The pictures below show that he failed my car because a hose was not connected when he could have easily put it back on no problem. How do I know he didn't remove that hose to get me to pay for a re inspection. Do not trust this place they will fail you if they can find anything even remotely wrong even if it's an easy fix as connecting a hose. Again, how do I know he didn't disconnect it? I don't, and even if you try and argue as I did they will deny any wrong doing. Go else where. Do not trust these people. read more

Best to make an appointment as they'll be taken care of first but walk-ins are welcome provided the appointment slots are not taken. Driveway is easy to get up to. It's shared parking with other businesses here. Place is located right off Miramar road. There's seating inside, chairs are a little dated but that's ok. There is a small TV in the customer lounge which is right next to the register. I made a call around 3pm and was able to bring my car at 4pm. Someone answered the phone right away. Their customer service is good. Sometimes the lady that does the register and answer the phones isn't the best with English, but it is manageable. My family and I have been coming here for years. They are honest and help you out with options if your car doesn't pass. I will be coming back anytime I need to smog any of my families cars and I will be recommending this place to family and friends. read more

Quick and thorough service! Came here without an appointment and there was going an hour wait, but I asked if there's an available appointment later that day and there was! Easy drive way to drive up to and very friendly staff. They tested my car very thoroughly because in the past I've had it done at other places and it was just too quick.. suspiciously quick.. as if they didn't do a really do anything.. Called up on a Tuesday at 8:30 for a smog test and scheduled it for same day at 9:30. My car was promptly worked in at 9:30 and trat was done in 20 minutes. Yesterday I got that dreaded letter from the DMV informing me that my registration was due in a couple of months - and not just that, I needed to have a smog test! Since I was off that day to take care of some other car-related stuff, I decided to have it taken care of and after some searching and calling ahead, drove up to Smog Test Only. Located in one of the many strip malls off of Miramar Road, this independent location only has one garage, but at least they were able to fit me in that late in the day. While the customer lounge is a bit outdated in terms of décor and chairs (not to mention having an old-school TV/VHS combo... at least it worked!), at least it's comfortable. As for the smog test - it passed (and with the new catalytic converter I had, it had better)! $60 total, and I was able to get it taken care of! Give this small place a shot the next time you need to have your vehicle's smog test done! read more

If your car is a trash can with wheels like mine is, do it a favor and bring it here for smog check. I love the environment, but California's smog regulations are straight up ridiculous (they're even worse - hard to believe - for trash cans with wheels). My car has failed a bunch of times, so it's not to say this place is easy, but they were very accommodating, gave me $35 discount, and the best part was it took only 20 minutes after failing. Plus, they new I had been coming in and predicted that the car was going to fail again. So didn't charge me a dime for it and recommended that I change the converter and come back later in the week. I bring my car out from LA to get it smog checked and will continue to do it until it decides to spontaneously combust and I can finally buy myself a new car. Great place. Better staff. read more
