When you're dealing with something as important as registration deadlines, professionalism and respect matter. I left feeling frustrated and unsupported. EDIT #1: This truck passed the smog check in December, 2024, for a title transfer. This shop failed the smog check because there were no CARB EO numbers, but in order for the truck to have passed last time, those numbers had to have been on the catalytic converters. If they couldn't find the numbers it was either because there was dirt obscuring them or because the numbers were positioned so that a mirror (which all shops have) could display them. Once we get the truck checked again, I'm going to file a complaint with the California Bureau of Automotive Repair. EDIT #2: Now that I think about it, this guy should never have run the smog check and charged us if he couldn't see CARB EO numbers. I'm filing a CBAR complaint right now.
