This place encompasses every "hillbilly/country folk" stereotype imaginable - which for me, makes…read moreit all the more loveable. For a visual - think: goddy belt buckles, cowboy boots, ball-bulging Wranglers (make sure you get a visual for that one), undersized shorts for the ladies and skoal rings. My hometown friends and I have been frequenting this place since we were 16 years old (yes, in Ohio you can legally get into a bar when you're 16). We go for the line dancing and love that the song order is still predictable after 7 years. Word of the wise on the dance floor - stay the hell back from the girls with hankerchiefs in their back pockets - they mean business and really like their dancing space. Admission is only $3 for those over 21. Drinks are cheap - especially compared to Indy. You could easily get sloshed for 20 bucks. Large long island iced tea complete in festive styrofoam cup for only $4.50. Most music is country but around 11:30 they start throwing in some fun off the wall songs like "Stroke It" and "Pussy Control". Go with an open mind and heart for Garth Brooks.

Driving by the triangle during the day you probably wouldn't take a second look at the a frame…read moreshaped building but take a ride down that country road Friday at 11pm and the place comes alive. You are sure to see jacked up pick up trucks and boys (maybe even some girls) with skoal rings. Once inside you are greeted with county music and cowboy boots stomping out the beat. Have no fear if you don't know how to line dance, just jump on the dance floor and look around and someone is sure to show you a step or two. If you are so inclined stop by the bar and grab a beer or a mixed drink for $1.50. This place is sure to surprise you but sure to be a good time!

We aren't even tempted to have Chicken anywhere else. Because we know it won't measure up. This place gets packed at lunch and again around 4:15-5:00 each day. So go early if you can. Britney is the owner and a great person. You will find her there at many times of the day. She pitches in where needed and helps to keep it flowing when it gets busy. And then the jewels of this restaurant and bar is the staff. The Bartenders and servers are all over the place making sure customers are taken care of and checking in often to give the best customer service possible. All of them make us and everyone that walks through the door feel special. You can also order takeout. But the experience of just being there is worth it. The kitchen is ran like a well oiled machine. They stay busy not only frying chicken but all the other wonderful menu items you will find. We can't not have their heavy peppered fried chicken, mashed potatoes and the best gravy too. Thank you for the opportunity to write this review.

If you love karaoke this is the place to be. You can go in…read morethe back area that's free and listen to people sing or sign yourself to sing. Or you could get a private room for just you and your friends and sing as loud and wrong as you please. If you get your own room you can order drinks from there and the come down from the ceiling. It's always amazing to look at.

But the actual experience felt bare and poorly-executed. Cheap. The rooms are very minimalist in design, are not soundproofed (can hear other rooms singing, not to mention the main club room), and the karaoke tech is TERRIBLE: The music defaults to weird keys, is randomly out-of-sync with on-screen lyrics, and the song library is so minimal (do not go to the Japan-themed karaoke bar and expect to karaoke any Japanese songs or anime titles). Add to that the removal of past elements like drinks being lowered through the ceiling and robot deliveries, plus a mandatory gratuity added to your room reservation fee (not just your drinks, which itself is sensible), and I can't help but feel Tokyo Kitty has gone out of their way to cheapen an experience (not the cost) that will eventually run out of one-time customers. Improvements I think could help: Karaoke client overhaul - install a system that works and has a broader selection of music. Probably get better microphones too. Automated drink order system - This is a rare business that actually NEEDS QR code mobile phone menu/ordering. Guests order drinks on their phones, and employees can deliver them as needed. Or, install the novelty drink-delivery system! Flipping a card in a window and waiting for someone to enter and try to juggle drink orders while customers are wailing into a mic is inefficient. Sound proof rooms - or sound dampening. If the hole in the ceiling is pointless to have anymore, get rid of it! Spruce up the place - a few graphic arts of some celebrities hung on the walls feels cheap and lazy (The mural of Eartha Kitt stays. It's so good and adds some real, actual character and warmth, but it's the ONLY thing.) Otherwise, add literally ANYTHING that says "You're in a place called 'Tokyo Kitty'!"
