Two stars based on trying to buy a Stihl electric pole saw. Definitely a disconnect between these…read moreguys and how Stihl's website describes their dealers. I ordered a saw online and per website would receive confirmation one to two days later. I waited five business days and then called them. Found out the battery was backordered; expected in a week or so. Waited two more weeks without any contact from them and phoned again. Guy answers the phone, doesn't identify himself, and tells me he has no idea about the saw but took my number to have someone call me back. I did get a call back five hours later with the news that battery is still backordered and not expected until last week of July. That comes and goes with no word from them, so I call back. Am told battery is still backordered and no idea when it will arrive. Stihl products are not cheap; my rig would have been $650. I've never seen a business work less at making a sale. I needed a saw, for sure, but is it too much to ask that they keep me appraised of status? Like the Stihl website says they will? I guess so. I cancelled the order, ultimately, since it didn't seem like they wanted my business. I have since purchased a product from another vendor.

I scheduled last week with someone who was just helping out at the front I called yesterday to verify and get the time of my appointment, and was told they don't do same day appointments (bring it in and take it home same day) - they accepted my appointment regardless, got me in, and now I wait and apologize to the other bikes and bikers. They were not very happy with me coming to this appointment and thinking they did same day appointments. I did not realize bike shops were any different from other shops. This is my second time to a bike shop, my last appointment took a same day- and it wasn't explained to me otherwise that these folks didn't take appointments. I would have dropped it off last week in that case. No big deal. Regardless. They've been accommodating, and I'm incredibly grateful to them for fitting me in.

And just being himself, a down to earth, no bull guy. He showed me the tires. The exact ones I wanted. I purchased 4 tires saved 200.00 and no bull charges like tire disposal feels, shop fees, etc. His quoted price included everything, even tax. Just can't believe why anyone would go anywhere else. If they tried Competition Cycle just once, they wouldn't go anywhere else.
