Purple Plumber is a one man operation and when he was away in the past, another service covered for him. That is where the good review came from in the past. I've now dealt with John, the Purple Plumber himself. What an angry, unhappy man. I work in customer service and this man hit every button of what not to do. He is a great plumber, I believe he is, but he needs to hire someone to deal with people for him. Grumpy, angry, impatient. He got so angry at me for paying within 10 days of a service call, he wanted payment the day of but he doesn't take credit cards. Hard to do if you aren't at home at the time of the service call. He wouldn't work on my type of hot water heater and instead of telling me so, he went off on me about how he hates the type I own. Wow, how is the guy still in business? Neffsville Plumbing and Heating charge $58 for a call out, use them instead. No plumber is perfect but at least if you avoid Purple Plumber, you won't be lectured and grumbled at by some old man that must hate his life and his job.

Maybe my job was too small for him but just say so. I personally would not recommend this guy.

We were caught in the middle of a renovation project and the electrician our Contractor utilizes…read morewas unable to free himself up. My brother-in-law recommended Steve Lenko and his business. Our Contractor agreed to use them because of the delay. Steve came out on a Saturday afternoon only 6 hours after we contacted him in order to review the job. He spent 3 hours at our home going over every aspect of the job, looking at the existing wiring and the proposed options we wanted. Steve not only made some excellent recommendations but also had the foresight to allow for a junction for a first floor connection on the same circuit that may be eliminated in the near future, saving us a lot of work and most likely a bit of money also. I don't know of another Electrician that I've ever used in the past that would think ahead like that for the customer. He said his helper Jim would be out early Monday after a lengthy consultation with him to review all aspects of the job. We were admittedly a bit concerned as we've had owners of businesses come out and sound top notch before and then send their workers out and be totally disappointed. This was truly not the case this time. Outside of the necessary noise required to complete the project we would almost not have known he was there. He arrived right on time every day. Worked the entire day. Never had to do one of those 2-3 hour mystery trips in the middle of the workday when you wonder if you're actually being charged for the offsite time needed for poor planning. Our entire experience was excellent. There is nothing they could have done better or done differently. Several other electrical companies charged over $100 just to come out and do an estimate before even doing any work - I found this to be ridiculous and decided to go with "James Morrow Electrician and Handyman." I can tell you right away that I made a solid decision as that Jim did a great job from the gecko! He was very responsive, professional and explained everything he is going to do over the phone so that I felt comfortable with choosing him as a professional. When he arrived, he was very respectful to the property. He did not mind me watching him install the electrical outlets in my home and explain how the whole system works. Jim did a fantastic job of eliminating one of my existing electrical outlets and moving it up. Kline's repaired our sewer four years ago. At the time I was happy with the service because, let's…read moreface it, the sewer now worked. In May our sewer collapsed again. This time I used Cocalico plumbing because I had used them recently. When the sewer was excavated this time, it was found that Kline's had used the old terra cotta pipes that were there instead of replacing them with PVC. The terra cotta joints were coming apart and where they connected the PVC to the old terra cotta, a corner of it had broken off. I called Klines and talked to James Frizzell, the plumbing manager and sent him several pictures of the damage. He said the work only carries a one year warranty (one year warranty on sewer pipes?) but that I should get back in touch after this work was finished and he would "work with me". After the work was finished I called and emailed him hoping to get some kind of compensation for their poor work. He's answer was they wouldn't do anything about it since the one year warranty had run out and that the Borough had signed off on the work when they did it four years ago. While this is true, knowing they did a poor job and that I was now having to have their work re-done at an expensive cost to me, I was hoping he would "work with me" and give me some type of refund. As a result I will never use Kline's again and will encourage anyone to go with a company that will stand behind their work.

Long story short I've called and talked to so many people through this company about not having a sale sent to this address because it's not like a responsibility to pay for it when it was the old owners bill, so the lady I spoke to ask for my name and I'm told her next time I receive this bill it's under my name (the frustration and angry when I saw this) I keep calling and calling and every time someone said they will take care of it that the bill is no longer going to be under my name because it's not my responsibility that is not to be sent to my address anymore but I keep getting this bill and it still says my name on the bill I just left a very angry voice message
