This is a family-owned business that takes great pride in what they offer. They got back to us immediately, offered a free estimate, and they were very accommodating and flexible dealing with our schedules. I knew I wanted a walkway to the porch that stood out and one that I could plant around to add a lot of color & character to the front of the house; they created multiple potential outlines in order to provide us with options and came up with creative ideas to fit in everything on our wish list all while staying within our tight budget. Work began and the amount of care for our home, their attention to detail, knowledge of the trade, and quality of their work was evident from day. Not only did they meet our expectations set by neighbors who had worked with them in the past, they also went above and beyond to exceed them. Their prices were more than fair, the project was completed in a timely manner, and we couldn't be more satisfied. I would highly recommend Murray Construction to anyone looking for concrete/exterior work and will definitely use them again.

Walter then shows up in 45 minutes later with the clipboard in his hand to give me an estimate! Guy had no recollection of being in my house or giving me a bid, completely unprofessional and not really sure what is wrong with this company or Walter! This was a referral from Home Depot and I have told them not to put his name out there. I would suggest not using this company for anything!

By March of 2023, after months of no communication we reached out and he could still not give us an estimate of when he would be able to start our deck. (He works alone so each deck takes him a very long time). At that point, after over a year of waiting patiently we asked for a refund and were told that it would be mailed. It has now been 7 months since our refund request and we are still awaiting the return of our deposit. To add insult to injury Rob has spent the last month ignoring our emails and a certified letter. We've spent the better part of a year attempting to resolve this privately and amicably without making this public but he has left us no choice. TL/DR. He severely misled us with the timeline and has refused to give us our deposit back.

I had Crable Paving & Excavating pave our driveway at the end of April 2025. This is the second…read moretime I have used the service of CPE. In 2019, they excavated an area for the construction of a pole barn and trenched the electric line to it. I was extremely pleased with their work in 2019. Darryl did the excavation work himself and built a stone retaining wall in the process of excavation as well. This year, we finally paved our driveway and called Crable Paving & Excavating for an estimate. Darryl and his crew responded promptly with an estimate; ultimately, they were the best estimate with a price much better than a local competitor. The work was completed in two days (as promised, one for prepping the driveway and one for paving), and everything was completed to the highest standards. Darryl took the time to explain what was needed and why; on the day of paving, he even gave "lessons" about the paving process. Based on our experiences with this contractor, I would highly recommend Crable Paving & Excavating for paving or excavating work.

So the man tells us no problem but then doesn't leave it at that. He proceeds to tell us that they have plenty of other work repairing other driveways that were completed by other companies. Well this is where I draw the line with how I am spoken to. First, you aren't the first person to get back to us. We literally had 8 other quotes, 2 of them on the same day of the request. Not a week later! Second, unless you are the best asphalt Contractor on the planet and can guarantee your work is free of needing repairs for life, Don't you dare presume to tell me that the contractor I selected is not good enough. Third and lastly, Great I'm glad you have plenty of work cause after that interaction you certainly will never, ever have our business!

Quick response to my inquiry and questions. 4 stars = roof, done in one day, mine and my two neighbors. Gutter guy came out 2 days later but said wrong color was selected, when finally done it was done quickly. 3 stars= clean up, this was one of their selling features, it was a windy day, looked like a war zone but cleaned up in the dark with flashlights. However, I found 6 nails in my driveway, makes me concerned what I will find in my grass and back yard. Gutter guy did not clean up at all, very disappointing. 1 star=communication, called Saturday night to let us know they were coming Monday. had no idea how the roof went even though someone was home all day, called after roof done for status and to know when gutters works be done, no response. I guess I will find out when they come to collect the balance of my invoice. I was offered their referral bonus if I got my two neighbors to join in with getting the roof done, which they did but I only got my referral bonus after posting on their fb post, my referral has yet to get his referral money. Gutters done over 5 weeks after roof, after the 2nd followup on it, I was told we would be notified before it was going to be done which didn't happen. I used Alliance for a large roofing project and also to replace a shower base. Alliance provided a…read morelifetime mold-free guarantee for the shower work. Imagine my surprise then when no more than six months after the work was completed, my shower base had developed extensive mold in the seaming between the base and the wall tile. I contacted the owner to make him aware of the issue, and he stated that they had used the wrong caulk and would address the issue by replacing the caulk. However, when they came back they used the same caulk as the first time and the employee stated that was the caulk they always use. After a short time, the mold came back just as before. I contacted the owner yet again and was told I should just clean the caulk and he cannot come re-caulk every year when mold grows (notwithstanding the fact that the project was guaranteed mold-free). What seems more likely to me is that the correct caulk is not being used, or poor workmanship has caused mold to grow underneath the mold-free caulking. After repeated attempts to communicate with the company and the owner to remedy the issue, they have now become completely non-responsive. I would only recommend this company if you are willing shell out several thousand dollars and take the risk of being left with a deteriorating final product and no recourse for correction. Zero stars, do not recommend.
