UNITY EXTERIORS TO THERESCUE…read more You always hear about it happening; you just think "never to me."--The nightmare of a contractor walking out in the middle of your job and then ghosting you. Ours came in the form of an exterior wrapped in Tyvek for almost 3 months, siding on the ground, and continued false promises of, "We'll be there the first of next week." It became evident that we would never get the job completed or see any portion of the money we paid in advance. Searching for a new contractor, we made calls to several different companies explaining our predicament. Tim, the owner of Unity Exteriors was the first to answer. He came out the next day and carefully assessed what we had on hand vs what would be needed to finish the job. As we made our walkthrough together, he also made a number of suggestions that might reduce further expenses. He understood our dilemma. He looked at his upcoming calendar for the first available start date and told us when he would have to release that date should we choose not to proceed. We had an estimate in our hands by the next day that was thorough and reasonable. Once we decided on Unity, they followed through exactly as promised. Tim kept us informed every step of the way and there were no hidden costs. We are thrilled with the job, and would highlyrecommend Unity to anyone. -Tom and Joan Kelley.

They clearly have no interest in standing behind their work. They left nails all over my yard, which is dangerous and completely unacceptable. That alone tells you everything about their level of care and professionalism. This company comes across as nothing more than storm chasers looking for quick jobs and fast money. Once the contract is signed, they don't care about the quality of the work or the customer. Very Disappointing Experience - Unpaid Roofing Work…read more On August 22nd, my company completed a roofing job for Andy, the owner of Eaton Exteriors, at 703 Emerson Ave. We completed the work as agreed, but getting paid has been nothing but a headache. For weeks, Andy avoided my calls and messages when I tried to collect payment. Eventually, he told me the money was ready, but only offered half of what was owed. Since then, he has stopped returning my calls and messages altogether. As a business owner myself, I understand that challenges happen. But communication, honesty, and honoring your financial commitments should never be optional. Unfortunately, I am now moving forward with filing a mechanic's lien against the property to recover the money owed. I would strongly caution other contractors and subcontractors about doing business with Eaton Exteriors based on my experience. We did our part, completed the job, and simply expect to be paid for our work. A handshake and a contract should mean something in this industry.

They took their time with the design and really listened to what we wanted- the finished product is not cookie cutter in the slightest, but truly custom. They gave us a detailed quote and discussed where we could save money, and offered outstanding advice during materials selection. Their people value craftsmanship and did an outstanding job quality wise, with no cut corners. They were also incredibly considerate of our family, especially during Covid. If they were around anyone from the household, masks were firmly on. Our project was also delayed for a day or two because they needed to help a former customer with a weather-related emergency- we really respect that kind of integrity and support for former customers. I absolutely recommend this company and can not recommend them highly enough. Honest, upfront business dealings- the project was completed on time and within the quoted budget, respect for customers, and superior craftsmanship. If you are planning a major renovation, absolutely give KPS a call!
