Very cramped seating and uncomfortable , driver deviated from normal route resulting in late arrival. Never updated us as to arrival time.

I used Klein Transportation to take my school's Ski club on a trip to Vermont and back. Brian was our driver. He was amazing!-- accommodating and professional!! I will definitely use Klein for our next group trip. read more

Returned today from a 9 day trip to Branson. This is a Shout out to our driver, MICHAEL FOSTER. He did a great job driving and helping those who had trouble with ambulation. I highly recommend him as a driver for your trip. read more

THE WORST!!!!!!!!! I hired them over a year in advance to shuttle my daughter's bridal party around, and then drive my guests to and from the venue. I emailed them days before my daughter's wedding to go over all the details and schedule. They never even showed up to pick up the bridal party at all. Each of the bridal party needed to find their own transportation to the venue. The "guest bus" did arrive on time and drove my guests to the venue.... BUT....the bus driver proceeded to tell my guests to leave the wedding reception 20 minutes early if they wanted a ride back. My guests all bee-lined out 20 minutes before the end for fear of not getting a ride back ,My band leader pleaded with my guests not to leave, but they were so afraid of being stranded. I eventually ended the reception 10 minutes early. They ruined the "finale" I had planned... I would never recommend them to anyone. read more

The booking process was smooth and the reminder was also helpful. My friend and I got to sit together even though we bout our tickets at separate times. It was a very smooth and event free ride to Cape May. Linda the tour guide was awesome and the driver was a very good driver. Will book again! read more

PS Take that bus and retire it!!! read more

Seriously, I'm not sure what the two people above are talking about. They should try a different company from around here and then come back and try Klein again before they post. As a teacher, I have ridden on almost all of the bus companies in the area and I can tell you without a doubt that Klein is the best. Just recently, myself and a co-teacher of mine had a trip planned to New York with them and it snowed so school was closed. I called in the middle of the night and someone picked up just like they do in the day time and said "oh yeah, no problem...call back on Monday and we'll find a time to reschedule your trip!" Just like that! No complaining, no gripes about money. They really do care about their customers! On another note, the buses are clean and even smell clean when you step on board...the idea of sitting in the seat of one other company we used made me want to vomit. The bus smelled like old bear and smoke. Not on Klein. Everything was perfect from original call until their very friendly and helpful driver helped me carry my bags to get to my car at the end of the night. I'm sorry, I realize people sometimes have bad experiences (and especially on your wedding day - I get it) but to blast the company after what appears to be a very small lateness, is really truly very silly. This company tries very hard to be safe and clean and for that they get my vote - AND my business! They deserve better than that. Especially since they at least had the decency to show up with a clean bus. You should thank your lucky stars because if you were on the bus that I was on that one time, that wedding dress would not have been so white after you sat down. read more

I had to give 1 star because 0 wasn't an option...the worst service!! After 20yrs of my mother running/organizing/planning casino bus trips she is LEFT BEHIND IN ATLANTIC CITY! Yes, this transportation service left my 75 year old mother and her 3 elderly friends behind because the bus driver decided to leave early. They never contacted my mother or her friends of this change. in fact, the driver was so careless to not count the people (about 22 in all) that they didn't even realize that they left them behind! Never will use/plan a trip with them again. Awful. same goes to customer service and management for all the calls that i have left messages for a return phonecall..and nothing. Stay AWAY!!! Plan elsewhere!!! read more

Wow, three "one star" reviews. That was a surprise. I have used Kleins for many many years, all my uses have been one-day outings. Every trip with them has been perfect. On time, proper seat, comfy ride, super nice guide and driver. I was considering 5-stars even, but that's rare for me, hardly ever does anything get 5-stars from me but they come darn close. I nicked one star because my wife and I are mid-40's and almost the whole bus is always 60-plus it seems, so we don't get to bond too much with the other riders. The Beach bus, the Yuengling tour, Winery days, my wife and I have done all of those this year alone without a hitch and they're the most INEXPENSIVE place around too. We have NEVER used their catering, personal charter, or bridal stuff so I can't really comment on those. Hmmmm.... As far as I am concerned, they come highly recommended by ME for the day tours! read more

Just wanted to let you know how well our trip went on Sat. ! Our families had a blast! We all LOVED BUS DRIVER LARRY! He was so friendly and an excellent driver too. We had a few stragglers when we were getting ready to leave NYC Sat. and he entertained the bus with trivia questions/facts since he knew many of the families went to see the Statue of Liberty and the 911 museum. The ride home was so smooth and despite leaving NYC late we arrived home safely and made up the lost time because traffic was a breeze. I received many e-mails later Sat. night and some yesterday thanking the PTO for doing this bus trip and for using Klein's. Larry's wife was driving the NYC run and he told our tour about Klein's Saturday bus trips. Many were interested! Thank you again for helping us out! read more

The bus driver is ridiculous. Follows only map quest directions. Takes forever worst bus trip ever. I don't think guy knows what is going on at all. He does know how to ride the break, I'll give him that. read more

Why didn't I come to yelp first when looking for a bus company?! Klein really disappointed me. Everything up to the day went smoothly - scheduling, payment, questions, etc. In advance of my wedding, I emailed the coordinator I'd been dealing with to alert her that the GPS would send the bus from the hotel to the church via Lincoln Drive - no place for buses - and asked them to come up with an alternate route in advance to avoid trouble. She responded to me somewhat snarkily stating that their drivers were all well aware that they should not drive on Lincoln Drive. Lo-and-behold, my groom and wedding party were ever-so-slightly late to the church for photos, while I waited anxiously in the bridal suite at the church. Obviously, I was not on the bus, because my groom and I had to ride separately. The driver had been pulled over for - you guessed it - driving on Lincoln Drive (no place for buses). The lateness was not a huge deal, but c'mon, this was a buzz kill at the very least. My poor groom, with all of his anticipation about getting to the church, and he had to hold tight on the bus while the driver got reprimanded by the police. The worst part of all of this is that I foresaw this problem and tried to prevent. After the wedding, I wrote to the company about this issue. The rep handled it terribly, stating that the company was not at fault for the lateness and offered nothing - not even a real apology for their mistake. It's a shame that they hit on the mark in so many areas, except for the most important one - getting my groom and wedding party to the church smoothly, without event! C'mon, Klein.... read more

So glad Klein rescued the Bieber travelers. Thank you. Great, convenient device to NYC!

We took the bus from Baltimore to Kentucky. And back. The trip going up was okay but the bus broke down in the way back. We had to wait 2.5 hours on a Sunday afternoon for another bus to come. The bus driver Jay was good and somewhat apologetic. read more

Bus broke down and left us stranded on the side of interstate for hours waiting for replacement bus. Worst bus company ever! Do not use them unless you like breaking down and being stranded! Old, worn and outdated buses badly in need of maintenance and upgrades! read more

Well, this is the revised edition.....we travel with Kleins on a rather frequent basis. It's fairly cheap, snooze while the driver "drives" etc. We use to really love their "Friday Beach Buses" --- super great pricing for a day at the beach. We purchased our tickets in December for the following June ---- OK, we love sitting in the very front. This past June, even though we purchased our tickets in Dec. we were pushed to the back of the bus. UGH.....are you kidding me!!! People getting on the bus were commenting how they called the night before and were given seats in the very front. WTH......REALLY?????????? We called Kleins Monday morning, E Mailed etc. Nah....we realized they really don't have their customers interest at heart nor do they really care. This past Friday we drove down ourselves and discovered.....it's not so bad and we had a blast!!!!! read more

TRIP PLANNER BEWARE. Some very bad business practices in place here at Klein Transportation. Took a trip to NY City. Three (3) pick up locations in the order of Wyomissing, Douglasville and last pick up at King of Prussia. Our pick up time was 8:30 AM in King of Prussia with an estimated arrival time of 11:00 AM in NYC. Perfect! and we were there on time. We would see our show, get back on the bus and be back to our destination in approximately 2 1/2 hours. Or so we thought. When we arrived back on the bus we were told that we would return to King of Prussia in reverse order which added almost 1 1/2 hrs to our trip home. When you book a trip based on how much time it takes to get somewhere & back THIS TRIP WAS A TOTAL DECEPTION. This adds a real problem for DISABLED persons who have a max amount of time they know they can tolerate riding on a bus. This was the case for me and it was a torturous ride home that I was not prepared for. Whoever heard of a bus trip that did not just reverse it's trip home instead of going way out of the way, on less quality roads, through little towns with stop lights as opposed to taking major highways with better road conditions and no stop lights? We went so far out of our way to get to the same destinations to get the people to Wyomissing home 10 minutes earlier, but added 1 1/2 hours to trip to King of Prussia. AND THIS CHANGE IN ROUTE HOME WAS NOT ADVERTISED NOR WAS IT COMMUNICATED TO ME WHEN I MADE THE RESERVATIONS BY PHONE. Not until we got on the bus to return home did the driver announce this tidbit of very important information. YES I did contact the company and even spoke to the owner of the company. It was explained away that because the amount of people that get on at the first stop far outweigh the number at my stop of King of Prussia (not true for THIS trip) and have a longer ride at the beginning of the trip, they want to shorten their ride home. Got it. But in order to do this the driver had to go ridiculously out of his way to accomplish this. It saved Wyomissing riders only 10 minutes, but added 1 1/2 hrs to King of Prussia riders. Now Mr Klein explained they usually have more Wyomissing riders than King of Prussia riders (but they did not on this trip) so they accommodate the Wyomissing riders (even if the route makes no sense) Well this is no way to build up a fan base or ridership from King of Prussia ......I had 3 people with me for their first trip from King of Prussia and they were raving on the way there how they would definitely do this again!!! ON THE WAY BACK, looking at maps on our smart phones to see hop incredibly out of the way we went on the changed route, and on the not so quality roads through towns and stop lights, these 3 people said never again! ADD me to the list. IF THEY ARE GOING TO DO THINGS THIS WAY IT MUST BE ADVERTISED!!! AND CONVEYED THROUGH CUSTOMER SERVICE WHEN WE CALL TO RESERVE A TRIP!!! NOT ANNOUNCED BY THE BUST DRIVER JUST AS WE ARE DEPARTING FOR HOME!!! WE WERE DECEIVED FROM THE GET GO OF THIS TRIP. We signed up for one thing and got something different. Even after talking with Mr. Wayne Klein, owner of the company, knowing we had no knowledge from the get go that we would have to endure this ridiculous ride home, did he attempt to rectify the inconvenience, frustrations and uncomfortable ride home for his patrons at King of Prussia. It is the way it is and according to Mr Klein will remain their read more

Our Indoor Drumline just completed a trip to Dayton Ohio on Klein for WGI Finals, bus arrived to pick up students at school only a few minutes late, not a problem, we met Brian the bus driver who I must say is exactly what every bus driver should be like AWESOME. He opened up the bus and we began to load, once loaded and closed, we were off to Dayton, an 8 hour drive. Brian fit right in with our group of parents and joined us on several occasions for lunch/dinner/breakfast. He came in to view our students performance as well as other performances and he appears to have enjoyed himself as well. I know he told us he is scheduled to go out again for our school taking the Choir to Boston, they are in for a treat with this exceptional person. We were driven around by a quality driver who only once had to back the bus up to maneuver, he drove that bus as well as anyone could. Very happy with both the personality of Brian and the service that he & Klein Provided. read more

Can't beat the summer beach deal. Believe it's $34 in 2011 but you can save $1 by purchasing your tickets on their website. Live 10 minutes from their office so it makes a perfect day - leave at 7am, get back at 9pm and only have to do 20 minutes of driving total... really sweet after a day in the waves. Totally worth every penny. They also have a connection for beach pass and shower for $8 (those are first come first serve) but that was really nice after the wave hopping to shower, have dinner and then jump on the bus by 6:15 to head home by 6:30. Driver very professional and the bathroom on the bus was nice for the little one. read more

I took a day trip with Klein's to NYC from King of Prussia, PA on Wednesday, 7/15/2015. The bus arrived 45 minutes late and it was blamed on the rainy weather. One of the women waiting with me in the park & ride, who frequently takes Klein's to NYC, told me they are always late. No one waiting in KOP received a call or a text with an updated arrival time. BUT, the real issue occurred on the trip back. For some unknown reason, the bus went completely out of the way, adding a ridiculous amount of time and miles to drop off folks in Reading, PA and Douglasville, PA. first. NO ONE on the bus had a clue why such a route would be taken. Anyone with a decent sense of direction knows that KOP is the most logical first drop off point from NYC, especially since Douglassville is Klein's HOME BASE and the bus THEN had to RETURN to Douglasville from KOP. Who is in charge of directions and efficiency in this company? I can assure Klein's management that they lost a minimum of 10 return customers with that ridiculous planning. Whatever the silly reasoning is behind the return trip debacle, at a minimum, the passengers should be told about the return itinerary in advance. If I had known my return trip would be 4 hours, I would not have booked my trip with Klein's. So Folks........stick with the Bolt Bus or AMTRAK. You'll be home and tucked in within the normal NYC commute time of 2 hours, rather than roaming the back roads of the far western suburbs. read more
