His pricing was similar to the others and he understood that I didn't want any drywall damage. The others could or would not accomodate this request. He was flexible about the day and time for installation and worked around remote work meetings schedules and separate fan delivery from Home Depot. He was able come by on a Friday and his crew were able to pre wire in everything in a couple of hours without any holes in the drywall by pulling the wire through the existing conduit. The fans arrived the next day on Saturday and he was able to again accomodate the remote work meeting schedule and able to install these very nice fans in a couple of hours and even immediately corrected the tilted rod that one of his crew had installed incorrectly. I am a perfectionist and one of the most difficult people to impress and gotta say I was very impressed. We were impressed by his communications, punctuality, and flexibility. We recommend Duke Electric for any electrical jobs whether they are large or small.

However, we discussed in detail over the phone that his initial fee would cover diagnostics and repair if done within the first hour. As soon as the team found the issue (10mins) they figured a socket needed to be relocated. Immediately an upcharge of $100 was mentioned on grounds that it was too much additional labor. They put a new socket and plate but it did not feel justified for the up charge. They were out within the hour. EDIT: Within 10mins of the neutral review I got a text message from the owner threatening to report to the city on some work where they had no knowledge of how/ where/ what was done. I responded that they don't need to blackmail and that it will posted on yelp too (screenshot attached). Immediately I got a call where the owner started to put up a fight. Never seen such practice. Just for this I have taken a star off!

He first came out to provide the estimate, and after an initial option didn't quite meet our needs, he came back and installed an outdoor motion-sensor LED security light that works perfectly for what we wanted. The new light is impressively bright--even during the daytime while Ken was installing and testing it, we could immediately tell how much light it puts out! The motion sensor and light intensity work very well for our needs. What impressed us most was Ken's attention to detail. He added a box between the wall and the light so the wiring could fit properly and the installation would look clean and professional, and he did it at no additional charge. We really appreciated his patience and willingness to work with us until we were completely satisfied rather than just getting the job done and moving on. So around 3 PM at work I got a frantic text from another (different) project manager asking me to open my garage. Well, hello, there is no power, so how can I open the garage? I am more that happy with the results. This was a long term project. Ray was my contact and worked with me. They waited for 6 months as I was waiting for rebates to get approved from my utility. The approval came the beginning of July. The crew removed all of the old HVAC and installed the new system. This was just before the recent heat wave, so they worked hard to get it working before it hit. I now know that my old system was a POS. The new system has been excellent. It handled the 100F days without an issue.

I scheduled an appointment for them to come check out my house, and Rudy showed up right on time. They even sent me a text with live tracking on the day of the appointment, which was a nice touch. Rudy was really nice and patient. He explained the different systems and gave me a couple of options without trying to push me into anything. I'm still not sure which system is best for my house, so I haven't made a decision yet. My current HVAC is almost three decades old, but I'm not in a hurry to replace it.
