I work for an AV installation company, and We contacted them for a custom designed rolling piece for a sound console, they refused to give us deign drawings for approval because they were afraid we would have someone else build it. So we had to sign off with no clear picture of what we were getting. It took six months of "oh we'll ship it next next month" "... End of the month" "...two weeks" etc. and ultimately a threat to pull our payment befor they shipped it to us. It was packed poorly enough that it broke in shipment. They sent a replacement of the part that broke two weeks later. It was in six pieces with no instructions or diagrams, and as far as securing the $15,000 console they sent a bag of Home Depot l-brackets and literally said "figure something out"
Once we had everything assembled we went to take it to the client's site, and the weight of the legs on the companion side-car made them strip out of their mountings when we picked it up. As for the main console section, we loaded and secured the console and moved it from the booth to the house mix position (the purpose of the rolling cart) ONCE. W went over two door thresholds and one elevator entrance with three men easing it over each bump. On the return trip the cart was listing to one side because the wheel post had popped the tack weld on the re-enforcement grommet and bent the tube steel it was set in.
Since we are on the East coast we offered to repair the cart, and take over the warranty, relieving KKAudio of all responsibility, in exchange for a partial refund. They agreed, but have yet to refund us any of our money and have stopped returning e-mails.
All in summary, very slow, poor communication, poor craftsmanship, NO support and ultimately non-responsive.
Do not get involved with these people. read more
