Ultimately, our opinion is he oversold and underdelivered for many reasons. One reason being his emphasis on communication, however, his subs or employees would arrive and ask me what was to be worked on for the day. Also disappointing were the consistent errors, low quality work, and avoidable damage created in other areas of our home, which I had to pay a different contractor to fix. We felt specific (not all) of his subs or employees were careless and no where near experienced enough to be called professional home remodelers. Ken also told me he knew his crew and worked with them for many years, however, a newer team member of his initiated a highly aggressive fight in my home with another employee, where expletives were being shouted between them and in front of me and my small child. His employees were later captured on my Ring camera laughing about me and my child being scared. It was the most unprofessional conduct we have ever experienced by a contractor in the 10 years we have owned our home. When my husband called to ensure Ken was informed of the situation, he cut my husband off and said, "a little grace would be nice." There was a complete lack of care or accountability as the owner of the company. I would not recommend this company for PROFESSIONAL home remodeling.

Ken Bennett and the rest of the crew at Home Experts did a great job with remodeling our bathroom…read moreon a budget. we struggled with the hardware ordering due to stock outage at the manufacturer but once it came in Ken's team jumped on the job. they completed the job in roughly 3 weeks. they had their demo team ready, plumbing, drywall, and carpenters ready to go. All very nice to work with. they did their best to ensure details were done correctly and with taste. when we asked for a few "extras" they didn't haggle and took care of it. we highly recommend them. Thank you Ken and team!

No show at the job. Told me the bank took the money for past bills due that hadn't been paid. Tried to then tell me he had a wife and 2 kids die in a car crash in February. Sent me photos of a woman and kids who could have been anyone off the internet. What kind of logic is that. Also said that he took his deceased wife's grandmother in to live with him as she didn't have a place to stay. Then proceeded to tell me he needed another advance of $1400 to go back to the job. I ended up calling the Avon IN cops to see what his public record is. No record of a car crash in Camby in February with a mother and two children passing. Public record for anyone that wants to get info on some other things he has done. Do your research!!!! Anyway - gave him a second chance and sent him $100. No show at the job again. Zeke T and Carla C can tell you as well.

Unfortunately, this is a little bit of a half review because the work with universal was not really…read morecompleted from start to finish. Universal was very responsive and very helpful in coming to inspect and assess a house. I was purchasing in the Hamilton County area on the roof. The individual they sent I believe his name was. Kyle was very nice and very thorough. He took lots of pictures and gave me lots of very clear communication and explanation. He was very honest as well as far as how good or how bad his findings were. Which was fantastic!! His findings also coincided with the findings of the home inspection report and home inspectors that were also on site. So it's good to know that not only were they looking at the same things, but that they also assessed and concluded similar findings. Unfortunately, I had asked for a report that detailed out the findings that I never received it. I did follow up twice and still never received it. Although this assessment was free of charge that is irrelevant, I was still expecting and promised a report. While they did come with high recommendation, which is why I reached out to this company I would expect that they close the loop with a potential client with the report in the findings so that those estimates can be taken into consideration for actual execution once I close on the house

The rep acted like it was a pain to leave the samples for the gutters and tried to rush us. I also had no clue he expected me to decide on the spot. The repair was not great either. This company lacks integrity and workmanship. Would not use again.
