They came to take a tree down/haul away and in the process; took out part of our neighbor's fence and also destroyed a very large beautifully stacked woodpile we had in our backyard. They also (via their business card and invoice) said they accept visa/mc/amex on the quote. Upon coming to collect they said their credit card machine was down and we had to pay by check. That seemed odd, but we did and then called the office to voice our concern. We were then told we would be given a $300 credit towards a future job and that they had forgot to cross out the acceptable credit card payments and they do not accept them. We then decided to give them another chance and have them haul away already cut/sectioned downed trees that we had. The quote seemed high, especially with the "$300 credit", but figured they would be more professional. They were not. We asked the crew when here to haul away a few extra pieces of wood. After 10 calls/voicemails to the office that were never responded to; a worker came to the door and told me it would be an extra $150 via the boss. I asked him to have the "boss" call me since they hadn't all morning, to which he said they were not at the office, they were "off." This is 11am on a non-holiday Monday. I told him that price was ridiculous, but stated that hey had to re-stack the wood pile they destroyed during their last job. They did without hesitation. After going back to the area, we noticed that they left an absolute mess. There were large pieces of the tree from the prior job they did not haul away (because it was under the destroyed wood pile) along with limbs and smaller chunks, and also they stashed the neighbor's destroyed fence as well. All phone calls to this company since have gone unanswered and we have yet to get a call back from 10+ voicemails. The company and Jose seemed to be legit, but they are not. Be very very very very wary as their pricing was much cheaper than other companies, but you will be left with much more of a headache and the feeling that you were taken. Oh and they still do not accept credit cards while everything they sign/quote/give says they are happy to accept those methods......We wish we could give negative stars. We wanted to compliment the workers as they were on time and seemed professional until we discovered the mess left from the original tree removal.

Where do I begin with problems with this company?…read more My spouse and I hired them to cut grass and dig out shrubs. The shrub work was never done. We called them back and they returned. The workers cut the shrubs low to make it look like they dug out the roots so we called them back again. One numerous occasions they cut shrubs that separate our property from our neighbors, cutting buds off in the spring, hemetizing them instead of proper pruning. Our neighbors finally stopped using them for pruning because they were getting charged for illegally cutting ours. Some of our neighbors still use them and until I complained they routinely dumped lawn waste in the federal parkland across the street. The mix of English ivy and bamboo has taken root and is damaging trees. Most recently they've continued to use gas-powered leaf blowers in DC even though it's illegal. I've had to call the company twice to report it. I also reminded them it is illegal to blow the leaves into the NPS land across the street. They should have zero stars.

Mr. Milton and his team did a great job of removing three trees in front and the troubling roots. Not only did they remove them, they also removed two more trees in my backyard as well. They stump grinded all of the removed trees, put down, leveled out top soil and planted grass seed. They did a great job and one of my neighbors who is in real estate commented about how thorough and detailed the team was in their work.

While the team was on site, Milton asked me if there was any other trees that needed to be addressed. I pointed out two already dead White Oak trees, both over 60 feet tall, a Bradford Pear tree in a field of bamboo, an Eastern Red Cedar that had been damaged by the blizzard of '22 and noted a couple of low-hanging branches on a Scotch Pine tree that was too close to the ground for the vehicles that parked under it. All of it was taken care of and when I asked for the chipped wood to be left on my property, they asked where I wanted it and left it as I asked. Some of the wood chips are still smoking to this day from the heat of the chipper itself.
