I was really disappointed and decided to call the HQ in VA Beach. I was put in touch with Jen the director of their surfboard department and my experience was completely turned around. Jen was professional, listened to my plight and went above and beyond to make things right. She put me in touch with Chris the manager in the obx shop and he carried the torch to the finish line. While speaking to Jen I discovered that they try to use American made products and materials as often as possible. That they really care about their employees and have a deep bench of experienced people that have been with them for many years. WRV is a large company and after the email shuffle I was sure that I wasn't important enough for my problems to be addressed. Jen completely proved me wrong and made me feel that not only was I important as a customer but everyone that works for them and the community around our beaches and in the lineup are number one when it comes to their business. WRV has made a believer out of me when it comes to great people and a solid business model. I will be a lifelong customer after this experience.

I have been to every shoe store in the tidewater area and have met with less than unsatisfactory service. New Balance was the last place I had yet to try and did so on 8/12/25. My family and I walked in and was greeted immediately and asked if there was anything I was looking for. I went there looking for a particular shoe that they offer but they did not have in stock. Nick, was the gentleman that assisted us and I explained my situation and he knew exactly what I was talking about and started to educate me on the shoes they offered that could help my condition. I tried in several pairs as we talked about hip-hop and how the music has changed over the years. I finally settled on pair. Out of all the places I've visited, this was the only place that listened to me and understood my problem. They weren't trying to sell me a shoe, rather a solution and it was worth it to wear that pair out of the store and finally walk on my own without the help of a walking boot. I will definitely be back and will always recommend this store and Nick.

The store was very clean and the clothes were sorted by size and color. The staff were kind and professional. When we went, they were working on finishing construction for their dressing rooms, so that will be a great and needed addition once finished. 95% of the clothes sold there are workout gear, which often has a lot of stretch, so it wasn't an inconvenience not having a dressing room for me when I went there. I had picked up about 12 garments and narrowed my final selections down to 6 items. I'm looking forward to coming back again!

I have shopped stores from coast to coast. The location is somewhat newer for Virginia Beach Town Center. Parking is free off street or nearby parking garages. The area outside has always been tidy. I have probably shopped with my kids around a dozen times. So I will compile experiences which are similar. The styles and designs are for a younger demographic that is a slimmer weight. They have athletic and dressier items. The company roots are in athletic clothing. The products are approximately 90% women, 10% men. So I'm out on the skimmer category. But really any age can enjoy their clothing. They are pricey, make no mistake. A single legging for ladies runs in the $100 neighborhood. For men the same with pants. They do have a sales rack to check. It's often slim pickings. Service 100% always 5 star. The staff is trained well and will bend over backwards to be helpful to customers. Also always super friendly and attentive. I have to admit they are trained to sell too! So you may be browsing and make a purchase. The store is always 100% 5 star clean and organized. The staff has very tight control over the the tidiness of the floor, changing area and checkout. Products and quality always 100% 5 star. LuLulemon makes it a company policy to bring quality to what they make. They also stand begins with a unheard of return policy of no receipt required and limited warranty period. Who else does this? I bought a pair of sunglasses that I still have to this day. I miss the location in VB Town Center. It was one of the best, especially when it had the Rockwall. An employee named Darren ran the Rockwall almost 20 years ago and he works at the Lynnhaven Dicks store in the shoe department. My daughter needed new shoes for a camping trip and Darren, as usual was awesome! Lots of great knowledge and advice and patience. She found some New Balance that was perfect and the right price. Darren's customer service skills are unmatched and I'm so glad that he was there to help us. The chain carries a lot of name brands like Adidas, Nike and Hoka's. The overall store in my opinion has not been as strong, but the selection has been every bit as good. They like others have cut back on staff and it can be challenging to get help when shopping. Customer service is not nearly what it used to be. When checking out the cashier was downright not friendly. So this four-star is much more about a single experience with Darren than the overall store experience through the years. If you need some shoes, ask for Darren.

The service remains top notch and was immediate. I needed a replacement shoe for my four year broken down everyday Hoka's. I have really loved the brand and hoped to stay in them. But was also open to try others. The sales guy understood my needs and confirmed my old Hoka's were trash. They upgraded the Bondi I'm in to the 10, so he started with that. However, he first had me walk up and down to evaluate my gait. He measured my feet. He pulled out around six colors to choose from and I tried on a pair and walked again for evaluation. They felt much better than my broken down sneaks. After an inspection of the laces and the way my toes were in the box he pulled out a wide shoe from the back. They only came in three colors, but the gray is what I wanted anyway. After walking again the wide shoe felt the best and more comfortable in the toe box. My previous shoes were regular width. We also discussed socks that would be more beneficial for walking and jogging avoiding cotton at all cost. Cotton retains moisture, that can cause blisters. So go with synthetics, or wool. I tried on a synthetic by Feetures that felt great and picked up a pair to purchase with new shoes. I wore my new ones out and they recycled my old ones and the box. Hoka's are not a cheap brand. So expect $165 and up. Checkout was smooth on my card. Running Etc is a unique experience on service as I described. They know the sport of running, they know their products and best of all the know how to satisfy their customers with phenomenal service. Whole heartedly recommend!!!
