By the time we met Adam, not only did we have an anxious, leash-reactive dog with so-so recall, but we had no idea what we were going to do once I returned to in-person work. And then Adam swooped into the Fort Funston parking lot and just a few minutes after meeting, he calmly and confidently took our pup on leash and walked out of sight. It's been happy dog-walking after since. We do 2-hour pack walks 4 days/wk and we couldn't feel more at ease.

Dog owners, please be careful of who you hire. You don't want your dog to be the next victim--or…read morefind yourself facing an expensive veterinary bill. On October 26, 2023, I was walking my dog on the designated on-leash path near the clubhouse/lake area in Stern Grove when we encountered Adam Teitelbaum walking a pack of approximately 6-8 dogs. Every dog in his pack was off leash, despite this being an on-leash area. Two of the dogs approached us, and one suddenly attacked my on-leashed dog, biting her on the neck. The attack quickly escalated as several of the other dogs became aroused and ran over, mauling my dog. The dog clamped onto her neck and would not let go while I desperately tried to separate the dogs and protect her. During the struggle, I fell to the ground and injured my hip. What upset me most was Adam's response. He remained more than 10 feet away and did not physically intervene while the attack was taking place. If he called his dogs back, I did not hear it. The dogs eventually returned to him on its own after the attack. My dog suffered multiple bite wounds to her neck and body and required veterinary treatment. While the owner of the attacking dog paid the expensive veterinary bills, that does not erase the physical and emotional trauma my dog and I experienced. Adam was responsible for handling a large pack of dogs, all of them off leash, in an area where leashes are required. Based on what I witnessed, I do not believe he maintained adequate control of the dogs in his care or responded appropriately during a serious emergency. Although he told me he was not responsible because the attacking dog belonged to a client, I believe a professional dog walker has a responsibility to follow park rules, keep the dogs under control, and take immediate action when a dog attack occurs. Adam may be friendly, but based on my experience, He is an incompetent dog walker with poor judgment. What stays with me most is not only the attack itself, but watching a professional dog walker stand by while my dog was being attacked.

The bond she has with the Top Dog team is incredibly special. They're accommodating and communicative with scheduling and focus on safety. They are brilliant at managing dog dynamics, making sure every dog is grouped with similar temperaments. They genuinely put the happiness and well being of the dogs first and we're lucky to have Natalie and the Top Dog team in our dog's life.

From the very beginning, the process was incredibly smooth. Reaching out through their website and coordinating the booking for a non-hosted event was so easy, and the communication was clear, responsive, and genuinely helpful. The space itself was absolutely perfect and exactly what I was looking for to celebrate with close friends and family. Everything came together seamlessly, which made the day even more special and stress-free. I catered food and brought my own decor and it was an easy set up and takedown. I'm so grateful to the team at Top Dog SF for helping make this meaningful celebration possible. I would 100% book here again. Thank you so much!

John has a lot of experience in dog walking and dog training; Taro starts to out with John when he was around five months, at the beginning John will attach a leash with Taro and let Taro be familiar with the pack and environment first. That shows me, John cares about the dog, and he knows about dogs. When the dogs are released on the field, besides the dog's party, John will work with your dog some skills like recall, basic obedience or more! John also provided feedback on how our dog is doing so we can put more attention on the behavior. Other than that, he is happy to inform us some training class or other information that we need. John is super flexible, sometimes I need Taro get home earlier, and he can always make it, no matter rain or shine! He also posts daily activity picture on Facebook and Instagram, so I can get Taro's daily picture, and know he is doing well when Taro out with John. Also, John takes good picture! He captures those cool and wonderful moments that make me happy and laugh! Taro also had boarded with John, and John provides a clean and big environment for him, including the daily walk. Each time he comes home happy and tired, and John can provide pictures if you need it. I trust John, so I have no worries when Taro with him. Just cross finger that Taro doesn't brother John and his dog- Mayday that much! Hahaha! We trust ABC Dogs and John. Again, I am so happy that we found ABC Dog and John, they provide a positive, healthy, happy environment for dogs. Whenever you need them, they are there.
