Upon…read moremeeting Dr Hansen he appeared congenial, however, the situation quickly deteriorated from good to very uncomfortable. I have diabetic retinopathy, and Dr Hansen began to 'abrasively' ask me if I was aware of all the symptoms of my disease. Before I could answer the question, he continued on, reading from notes my retinal specialist had sent in, highlighting one horrendous diabetic symptom after the next. When I told him those notes were from 21/2 yrs ago, and my current condition had improved since then, he argued with me stating that the notes were from July this year (2023). It was as though he was 'illness-shaming' me in front of his assistant. His tone & manner was without empathy & utterly unprofessional. In the midst of this awful exchange, I thanked him & took my leave. His last words to me on the way out: "Nice workin' with ya!" I certainly wouldn't recommend anybody support a medical practitioner who treats his patients this way.
