My father in law was admitted into the memory care rehab wing at Kith Haven last month for a couple of weeks unexpectedly. The staff there were very helpful from the unit manager, the nurse, the administrative staff to the aides helping with daily care. They made themselves available at all times and answered our questions promptly and responded quickly to requests. It was a difficult time for our family and I am very grateful for the kindness they showed us. read more

Very nice staff, very accommodating...we were very pleased with their service at my parents time of need.

One of the most ridiculous nursing homes in the state staff is real and staff is lazy.People are constantly getting sick in here. Valuables come up missing from the residence.They can't follow simple instructions from the resident's family.My brother in law ended up dying in this nursing home because they are lazy and they don't comply with state regulations. A quality of care from these nurses and nursing aids is Very low and they do not care.They are just there for that paycheck. read more

The physical therapy is wonderful otherwise they are greatly understaffed with techs. I'm currently in patient. It took them 6 hours for me to get a brief change this morning. The kitchen is frustrating. I've been here five days and they have forgotten me three times. No meal. They do have a fridge, but there is no way to heat up things-no microwave. So luckily, I have friends that bring me in meals. Also, they have a menu, but it's a toss up as to what you'll get. read more

This place is the worse to ever take a loved one my husband has dementia and it has gotten worse in the the last few years because he can dress, feed himself they kicked him out of the home i have seen many poor situations but there are two that actually upsets me is that i told many aids that a lady was having a hard time breathing and 3 of the aids told me they would get to as soon as they could then she died and i had to scream down the hallway to get a nurse that wasn't even at her own station so then they finally got to her with the machines to finally save her and sent her to the hospital she could have died if it hadn't been for me just a visitor mind you then my husband falls in the shower and God only knows for how long he was out in there this was ariund 9- 9:30 right after breakfast and they never even called me until 11:54 to tell me .He was so bruised all of his left side and when the residents fall half the time they never even record it or tell you about it .The place is so dirty oh yeah they keep the hallways nice for when you come in to look at the place the beds are so full of dust and dirt and they let them lay in them nasty beds the bathrooms are nasty also that's why they don't want you to use them. Don't take my word for it just go look for yourself . I could go on and on they also keep it so hot in the summer time . Talk to people that has had their loved ones in there .My husband had a doctor's appointment one time and i couldn't take him because of seeing a cancer doctor so they sent him on his own and dropped him off as soon as i was done i went right over there when i ask where he was at all the nurses or doctors had seen him yet i had told that nursing home more than once to have an aid go with him we found my husband out in the back of the building back in the woods just standing there not knowing where to go or what to do. My husband was forced to go to this nursing home for rehabilitation so he could return home. After a positive start he was told that he was not qualified to have physical therapy. I continued to work with him so that he could get home. While I was there I witnessed many things that should not be. People were told on warm summer days that the weather was to cold to go outside. I never saw one person in the garden at the back of the property and only a select few people were ever even allowed to sit on the sidewalk outside the building. They keep lights off in the rooms so people are in twilight and even turn off the hall lights. My husband had a number of falls while in the facility and was kept up all night so that the short handed staff could "keep an eye" on him. After he had been well when I left him the night before I came into his room to find him gasping for breath. when I called out to the nurse I was told that he had been crying out all night. I tried to save my husband but I could not. While I believe that many of the aids tried to help I was not happy with most of the nurses. At the very least this home does not give the services they promise and they are constantly short handed. Do not take a chance with your loved one. read more
