    At Home Comfort Care helped to care for my mother in the last years of her life. While we had some…read moreissues with some of their caregivers (such as them falling asleep when they were supposed to be caring for my mother), overall, they performed the service provided. However, I would warn everyone to never pay a bill for this vendor in advance. In my mother's last days, it was arranged that they would come and stay with her. This bill was in the amount of $352.00. I paid it in advance. My mother died before those days came to pass. I let the owner, Shelby, know that the check was already on the way and if she could either shred it or send it back to me. She agreed to send the check back. Instead, she cashed it. That was in mid-August. Since August, Shelby has told me that she was paying me back, first with a check that was "lost" and then by sending me the money through paypal. I even sent her a paypal invoice to assist her, as she said she didn't have a paypal account (though, paypal had her name and phone number already, so I know that she had an account at the time I sent the invoice). Each time I ask her about the money, I receive another excuse and promise to get the money to me. It is now November and I haven't seen a single cent, nor a single screenshot that she has tried a good faith effort to send the money to me. Not anything from her bank with a mailed check, not a paypal screenshot, nothing. Just more excuses that she's sick or traveling and will send me something at a later date. So yeah, use these folks if you need to, but never, ever pay them in advance. They won't even pay your money back if your loved one dies.

    This company was hired to care for my brother who had ALS. We had many issues with his caregivers…read moresleeping, in fact they were bringing pillows and blankets for their overnight shifts. He was progressing pretty fast and Hospice had ordered him to have Morphine and Ativan every 4 hours for comfort. I reviewed the camera one morning and saw that his caregiver didn't give him any medication from 10:40pm to 8:45am. When questioned, she responded that she doesn't like Morphine and doesn't agree with Hospice's methods. We fired the company that day since this worker felt it was ok to disregard the doctor's orders because she doesn't believe in it. My brother passed comfortably 4 days later. Unfortunately, we had already paid them for the following week and we requested our money back. Shelby said she had to talk to her lawyer and now it's been crickets. I definitely do not recommend them at all.
