More than 3 grand less that the other two estimates I got. From the time I gave him the down payment to the day the job was done: 8 days, for almost 1300 square feet of hardwood floor. The crew who did the job showed up early in the morning, got right to work, worked twelve hour days to get the job done, and done right. I can't say enough good things about this company. They've bailed me out of two really bad…read moresituations and did excellent work at a fair price both times. The first time was over a year ago--they came to the rescue and fixed an issue that others couldn't. The second time, my home warranty company sent a contractor who tried to charge thousands for electrical work. Thankfully, I still had their card from the first job, so I called them again. Once more, they came through--doing the job right and within what the home warranty would actually cover. This is an honest company that does great work. The only downside is that they're hard to get a hold of and prioritize jobs based on urgency. But if you can get them to take your job--do it! Totally worth it. (But do me a favor and wait a bit--I've got more work for them: roofing, plumbing... I want to be first in line. )

The motor was over 20 years old and he tried replacing some worn parts but the problem continued. (the motor would close but not open the door unless you got a stepladder and flipped a flipper type thing on the motor to a reverse position. For the past year or so this happened rarely and then this past week it was every day.) I was very impressed with the technician's knowledge and efforts. After the new garage door opener was installed he checked my door rails and found one wall attachment had a stripped screw going into the wall which he replaced. He also showed me how to lubricate the coil springs and chain so they would last longer. I recommend them highly. David H. Groves, Huntington, WV

I called up Alford days after my install because I had water coming up through the valve they installed on the system. To say the least, I was stressed about it. He cleared out the gravel and then tested the system with my garden hose and water started immediately flowing into my sump pit! Problem solved! Stress over! Thank you Jason for a job well done!

I was quoted a couple of packages in the $28-$31k range, was offered a $3k discount if I signed that day. I was not going to do that. He mentioned fees for multiple visits; he wasn't sure He left after telling me that I would hear from the Account Manager soon. I then began addressing the main cause of the issues in the crawlspace - the gutters. I did also get another quote on the first part of the job - the cleanup - and contracted for that based on $$. At various times I received form E-Mails from my Account Manager asking if I was ready to get started on my project. So, on April 22nd, I responded to one of the E-Mails. I outlined what was being done on my project, the timeline, what still needed to be done, and offered them the opportunity to quote on what was left. I got crickets; no response. Today I got the same form E-Mail. I am going to unsubscribe. (And yes, I could have called, but I don't do phone well.)
