Dan helped me with bathroom design and with choosing tile, tub, and shower doors. He was able to begin work a short time after I contacted him. His crew consisted of Vasili and Rene. Both were there like clockwork every day. Their work is superb. Dan was on the job several times throughout to check on things and to answer my questions in person. All the 5 star reviews on Google are truly deserved. I don't think you can find a better, more honest and reliable company for your home project.

job never finished! contractor paid! dan mcguiork/ dcm remodeling, started job 1/10/22. job:…read more make an existing closet, into a powder room. make a closet between powder rm @ bed rm. dan supplied toilet, window, doors. i supplied sink, cabinet, faucet, floor @ wall tile, paint, mirror, towel bar, light fixture. unforseen health issues (covid), caused me to postpone work 2x. while husband in hospital, job continued. 2/8/22- husband home. dan @ i, mutually, agreed to stop work for a few weeks. paid balance -contract noted, incomplete. 3/16/22- i called dcm. as of, 4/9/22- job schedule @ cancelled 3x by dcm. between 4/9- 8/29/22- i received a text from secretary. she doesn't work for dan. 5 months, 47 messages sent to dan. no response!! not even a toilet text! 8/29- thru now- dan has text me. "wrong #/ i owe you nothing.../ contract was w/ dcm, llc-- not dan/ stop harassing me." incomplete work: closet is a shell- no shelving/ hang bar; no molding around closet/floor @ ceiling; drywall edges exposed in closet; door hung upside down. time consuming fixes needed in powder rm. paint; caulk; grout... tile installed behind faucet only. should be tiled 1/2 wall.(faucet rubs tile). no warranty! window doesn't lock. toilet needed parts replaced. civil claim filed against dan/dcm remodeling. went to court 2x. i was awarded judgement 2x. dan appealed, got lawyer. dan ignored judgements - he refuses to pay! 11/25/23--- i am still going through the legal system! the next step is filing with sheriff's office, to levy @ garnish. fee: $650-. dan is rude, unorganized @ accepts no accountability! excuses for increasing costs @ put blame on others. hiring dan was a bad decision. i don't need to be a contractor, to know if a job is finished! never pay balance, under any circumstances. -until- contract is fulfilled and you are satisfied w/ job! No one called me back or communicated with follow up once this was provided. I made a trip to the shop a couple weeks later and met with a young woman who could not have cared less about what we wanted. Still, we picked up some samples and thought maybe we'd move forward. Another visit yielded questions about backsplash and tile (they don't do it), and installation and removal of existing material, which she couldn't answer. I left, thinking she'd get back to me with answers. After two weeks I called someone else (who did an excellent job). It appears to me that the focus is on supplying materials to commercial installers and not dealing with average homeowners.

All of the other 5 star reviews have aptly captured the experience that we did, so I will not go into as great detail as I normally would. The design process was easy - our designer asked pertinent questions that helped us hone our visions and thoughts into reality. We felt seen and heard, in terms of defining our wants, needs, finances, etc. Demolition was extremely fast, and the teams made sure to keep the house as clean as possible throughout the entire process. Each person who worked on our house demonstrated a dedication to quality, and whenever an issue arose, it was rapidly addressed and remedied. The workmanship is noteworthy. When it came down to the final punch list, and fixing the minor details (I tend to be fastidious and overly observant about the detail work), there was no issue, and the work was beautifully completed. The billing and payment process is comprehensive, very clearcut and very easy to understand and follow from the outset, which also made the experience seamless. I would like to mention that dRemodeling has a cleaning team that they have clean the areas that have not only been worked on but also impacted by the construction. We found that they are now offering the cleaning team as a separate service, called dReal Deal Clean. It was a no-brainer to sign up for future ongoing cleaning services, knowing that they have the same ownership, and high standards. Did the work when he said he would. Price was fair. The problem was with the quality. We had to pay someone to completely re -do all of his work. Tile wasn't grouted. And whatever was used completely crumbled. Didn't finish tile behind toilet. There was a huge crack in a very visible tile. Toilet was never sealed and sink wasn't screwed into the wall. We did not call him back about the problems. Perhaps he would have fixed things or given us a refund but we wanted to just move on from this bad experience and take the loss.

Prior to meeting with Erica I had sent her pics of what I had in mind. She sent me some ideas and then I drove down to meet with her and see the selections in person. I loved them all. Erica has the best customer service anywhere. She let me take my time making my decision and then it was so easy to schedule a date to template and to install. Tim (her husband) did the measuring and templating and it was perfect. The next week the installers arrived exactly on time and placed and sealed the quartz. What an absolute perfect job it is. Our contractor worker with Erica to delay templating, fabrication, and delivery of the stone top. We are grateful for their professionalism and ability to flex when needed. They will now be our go-to for stone/solid counters and have already recommended them to friends doing renovations. Incidentally, we initially went to a much larger tile market where we felt unseen and unheard. We needed framing, sheetrock, electrical, trim and closets built. Joe was way more responsive than all other contractors and was very reasonable with costs. The price was exactly what he quoted us. (Another contractor was supposed to start before we found Joe and completely ghosted us around the start date.) Lou was the main guy who was here several days and he was great. We felt totally comfortable with him in our home. Our 4 year old son kept asking where Lou was after the project was completed. Lou worked around us when it came to hours that worked best for our family. Our kids love their bedrooms. And our 4 year old son finally sleeps in his own bed. We will be calling Joe when we are ready to remodel our kitchen and bathrooms.

DISASTER. Turn and run. We hired Joe for a large 203K project. We had problems from the very…read morebeginning: he was slow to start, kept changing his mind about the game plan, complained about the fact that he could get no money up front--terms of the 203K that he had of course agreed to--and pressured us to give him significant up-front money to "help him start". He instructed me in June of 2024 to rush to buy materials for a small bathroom that was still mostly unfinished in April of 2025; that kind of thing happened multiple times. His workers were inadequately supervised, and he was difficult to reach, often saying things like I'm at a kid's soccer game, out to dinner with my daughter, etc. The way that 203K's work is that HUD inspectors come out at regular intervals to make sure that adequate work has been done to make a draw from the total budget. Joe did a bunch of stuff merely to look busy to justify the first draw, in August: a slap-dash exterior paint job over crumbling paint that made a mess and did not hold, for instance. Between the first and the second draw, there was slow but meaningful progress--but by then we were 5 months into a job that we were told would take 4-6 months, and nowhere near done. During much of that 3-month interval he had just one guy working on our huge project, an electrician. After the second draw, in late November, he basically just stopped working on the house. We were making double housing payments the whole time, of course, so we panicked. We were almost out of money. After numerous calls and messages failed to get him to pick up the pace, at the urging of our lender, we scheduled a third draw, 3 months after the second one. At that draw, the HUD inspector certified that no work had been done, so no funds would be paid out. That's when we finally worked up the nerve to fire him. It was terrifying, because our lender told us that we would have trouble getting anyone to take on such a large project with only what was left in the budget after Joe depleted it. By the grace of God, we did find one. He swept in and got the job done in about 4 months. We finally moved in almost exactly one year after closing. Of course we had two mortgage payments the whole time. The work could have been finished within 6 months, or close to it, if we had found a great contractor like the one we found after we fired Mr. Depiano. Working with Mr. Depiano was harrowing. We were newbs at this, and therefore easy to fool. DON'T MAKE OUR MISTAKE.
